I slightly touched his arm and called his name to wake him up but he didn't budge. He must be really tired and that made me even guiltier. I tried again and this time, he moved a bit and murmured something inaudible. I moved him harder and this time his eyes opened and stared at me. I moved back thinking that we were too close with each other.
"Hey," He said as he sat up immediately. "Do you need anything?"
"N-no," I said. "I-I just thought that you should sleep on the bed. It's not comfortable in here."
He sighed and shook his head. "No, you can have the bed, I'm fine here; don't worry about me."
"No," I said. "The bed is huge; it's more than enough for the both of us. I know you were tired from driving and that's the least I could do."
"Are you sure?" He said.
"Yeah," I said and nodded.
"Alright then," He said as he stood up and went to the bed. He stared at me and then smiled sheepishly. "Don't worry I won't strangle you."
I nodded and turned my back on him. What is happening to me? Why is my heart beating so fast? It's not like it's the first time that we slept in one bed together. Jeez, we even shared some steamy nights on that bed. Oh shut the hell up, Cam! You are so embarrassing; I thought to myself.
I went to the mirror and continued brushing my hair. He was silent after that. Maybe, he fell asleep already. I shrugged and didn't mind him. I put the brush back in its place and decided to sleep already. I walked to my side of the bed and before I came into the bed, I took a look at Wade and his eyes were already close. I slowly climbed under the blanket and settled beside him. Thank God for the bed is huge! We weren't that close.
I tried to stay as calm as possible and tried not to mind that he is just beside me. It kinda makes me nervous that we are in one bed together. I felt like I couldn't sleep at all tonight. I tried so hard to try to get some sleep by closing my eyes and imagining positive thoughts but it just wouldn't work. Oh, why did I even have to offer him to sleep at the bed?

I felt like my eyes were still heavy but I just couldn't ignore the fact that I could hear voices from somewhere. What the hell is that noise? I thought to myself with my eyes still closed. I wanted to get up but my body won't cooperate. It was probably because I didn't have much sleep last night with Wade beside-" Oh, shoot! I remembered that I was back at Wade's house and that made me open my eyes in a heartbeat. I looked around. Wade wasn't beside me anymore and his side of the bed is empty with the pillows properly placed already. I thought of looking for him but that thought was set aside when I heard my Mom's voice from outside the bedroom. Mom? What is she doing here? And as if her presence wasn't enough already; I heard Dad's voice as well. I couldn't understand what they were talking about so I stood up and walked closer to the door. It was slightly opened so I listened to them.
"So she's still asleep huh? She must have been tired last night." Mom said as she smiled at Wade. "It's good that you two are getting along well again,'
Jeez, my mother is a scandalous one!
"Yeah, me too, Mom," Wade said.
"We're very sorry to have disturbed your morning; your mom was just so eager to see the both of you," Dad said.
"It's not a problem Dad," Wade said. "You are very much welcome here. You can visit anytime you want."
"Thanks, son," Dad said.
I looked at Dad and thought of what he did to Riley's mom. It was hard to believe that he made someone's life a living hell. I wanted so much to ask him but I don't think that this is the right time.
"So, are you guys joining us for dinner later?" Mom said.
"I-I think we will," Wade said and I could hear the hesitation in his voice; probably because we haven't really talked about it that much.
"That's great!" Mom said and clapped excitedly.
"So, we'll see you then?" Dad said.
I heard them say goodbye to each other so I climbed back to bed. I don't want them to know that I have been listening to them. I smiled bitterly at Mom; she was so eager to see me with the thought that her daughter still has the perfect marriage. I heard footsteps approaching so I decided to pretend that I was asleep and covered my face with a pillow. I didn't even check on the mirror if my face was alright; I didn't want Wade to see me like this right now.
"I know you're awake," Wade said as he sat beside me on the bed.
I didn't move. Did he know? I still pretended like I didn't hear a word he said.
"Come on Cam; I know you're awake already. I heard and saw you sneaking on us earlier." He said. \
I cleared my throat. "What do you want?" I said.
"Your parents asked if we could join them for dinner tonight but I know you heard it," He said. "I know you also heard that I told them we're going."
I sat up and faced him. "We're going, of course," I said.
"What if they ask? What are we going to tell them?" He said.
"They won't ask, okay? They thought we were fine now." I said.
"What really is your plan? To pretend forever?" He said.
"No," I said. "Of course not; I just don't think that this is the right time to tell them. Let's just act like nothing happened in front of them."
"So what now? How about us?" He said. "Are you going back to modeling?"
"There's no us, okay?" I said. "I am just here because I have to but you and I have we have nothing to do with each other anymore. I do my own stuff and you do yours."
"Don't you really want us to fix this?" He said. "Come on Cam, we're not kids anymore."
"You're right; we aren't," I said. "So we can stay in one house without having any problems at all, right?"
"And what about the people around us? They will get hurt if they find out the truth that we were just fooling them." He said.
"Alright, tell me," I said. "Do you want us to separate our own ways now and tell them the truth?"
He froze for a moment and shook his head a few seconds after. "No," He said.
"See?" I said. "Let's just go with the flow and do our things.
"Alright," He sighed. "Anyway, let's get down now. I already ordered breakfast for us."
"Did the cleaner come in already?" I said. "I want to start setting up my new room here."
He didn't respond so I ask him again.
"Yeah, yeah," He said a bit annoyed. Why is he? "She's on her way already."
"Great!" I said as I stood up and went to the bathroom. I needed to take a shower first before having some breakfast with him.
