Immediately after school, Levi was there to pick the kids up from school.
"Abby, are you ready to see daddy again? Don't forget the plan. We have to make sure mom and dad get back together." Gabby said.
"Of course." Abby agreed. "Daddy is so handsome!"
Gabby chuckled. "Of course. Just like me."
Abby swatted his hand away from her shoulder, mocking him as well.
"Hello, kids." Levi greeted them with a smile.
"Uncle Levi. You didn't come to pick us up in the morning. What happened?" Gabby asked as they got into the car. Levi closed the door first, and went to his seat, before answering them.
"The car had a little breakdown, I couldn't make it. I think I left your mom a text. She probably didn't see it."
"Hm." Gabby hummed. "Okay."
A few minutes into the ride, Abby started gushing about how excited she was to meet her father again. Levi was confused by their discussion because he had never heard even their mom mention their father. It was only either her or Angela. Then occasionally Gary.
"What dad?"
"Our dad. We want to see him today. Will you drop us off?" Gabby asked bravely.
"Woah woah, guys. The deal was to take you from school and bring you home." He answered.
"But we want to see our daddy!" Abby frowned. Her voice was rising to a higher octave and Levi had to double his concentration to avoid making any mistakes in his driving.
"I'm sorry kids. I cannot do that. Your mother could fire me." He said.
"We want to see our daddy!" Gabby yelled. Abby began to cry, making loud noises and distracting Levi from the road.
He parked the car by the roadside to avoid any kind of accident.
"Guys…"
"Aaaaaahhhhh! I want my daddy! I want my daddy! I want my daddy! Take me to my daddy!" Abby cried loudly. Gabby joined her in the screaming, although he didn't cry. Abby sat on the floor of the car. She would roll and then jump into the tiny space. Levy could feel his energy get drained with the tantrums the child was throwing.
"Okay okay!" He yelled. "I will take you to your daddy." He agreed.
Abby quietened. She turned to him with big hopeful eyes. "Will you really take us there and not tell mummy?"
Levi was sweating. In reality, he was afraid for his life. But then he would agree to anything to avoid the girl from crying so terribly again.
"Well, where is your father?" He asked as he started the car again.
"My daddy is Edwin Turner. Take us to his company." Gabby said proudly.
Levi's brow went up. They were the grandchildren of the Turner family? How come the news didn't know this?
Silently, he drove them to the Turner Group. He parked there by the wayside, waiting for them.
"Uncle, don't wait for us. Daddy will take us home. Go on, and don't forget. You must not tell mum!"
Levi nodded and sped off. Gabby held his sister's hand. Two tiny kids, pulling their backpacks and lunch boxes, enter the huge company.
The receptionist was surprised when she saw them entering the company. What surprised her the most was that they looked like her boss.
"Hello kids, are you lost?" She asked nicely.
"No. We want to see our dad." Abby answered sharply. The lady was taken aback by their sharp response.
"Your dad? Who is your dad?" She asked again.
"My dad is the owner of this company!" Gabby answered this time.
"I'm sorry guys, but you have to go home. Where's your mom?" The lady asked. She came out of her desk to usher them out. Abby began to scream loudly. She fell to the floor and began to wail loudly. The receptionist was afraid. She didn't even touch them.
"If you wanna keep your jobs, then you had better call my father down here, and ASAP!" Gabby threatened.
The receptionist was at a loss for words. The other workers who worked on the ground floor as well were frightened.
Everyone was disturbed. The appearance of these strange but authoritative children wasn't enough to disturb their always harsh president, was it?
Everyone turned to the receptionist. Their gaze said one and the same thing, deal with this.
"Listen, guys-"
Abby's wailing went louder at the sound of the receptionist trying to explain things to them.
Edwin was in his office, thinking about his eventful morning. Bridget barged into his office looking beaten up.
"Bridget!" He scolded. "What is the matter with you?!"
"Sir! The receptionist had just called me. She said there were some kids creating a ruckus at the reception, demanding to see you. I went down to check for myself, and truly there are kids there."
"Well?" Edwin asked for more information.
"The boy says if we want to keep our jobs, we should call you." She said, Edwin smirked. He wanted to meet these awesome kids.
"One more thing boss," Bridget said. "They look very much like you."
Edwin rushed downstairs immediately. He could already tell the kids that were there to meet him. He was already running down the stairs when Bridget called him back. She handed him his card and pointed to the elevator. Edwin snatched the card and ran back to his presidential elevator.
The minutes he stayed in the elevator made him jitter. He remembered how Bridget told him how Gabby had threatened the workers, he smiled happily. His son was every bit of him.
The numbers were counting slowly, and he was tapping his thigh as it did. Once it finally opened, he rushed out and was about to race to the reception, then as if he remembered he was the president, he calmed himself a little. Then he walked over to the reception to meet the scene of Abby crying on the floor and Gabby yelling at the workers. Everyone was trying to placate them. He smirked.
