“How did I find out that you are Jared, my ex boyfriend whom I dated on Love Station?”
“Uhn… what.. yes, how.. how did you find out?” He stuttered.
I knew it.
“Well, I had the suspicion that very day your brother came to the office, turns out he wasn't Jared but looked like the Jared I know, so who else could he be if not some one close to him? Which was you, you had sent me pictures of what your brother was currently doing, in the morning, in the afternoon, evening, while eating, whenever. That was a simple logic, how could I have not known you were Jared even before now”
“I.. I didn't know how to tell you, I'm deeply sorry”
“I actually found out haven overheard your conversation with Adam” I told him.
“What?” He gazed at me. “That's how you found out?”
“Yeah”
“That's all you found out?”
“Yeah, there's more?” I looked at him suspiciously.
“Well, uhm..” His expression fell.
“I only heard Adam mention Jared’s name to you, that's why I kept asking if you had secrets you were hiding away from me and you just confirmed right now, this very moment that my suspicion was true. You are Jared, the guy I met and dated on the love station app”
“I know I messed up, I know I hurt you. I am very sorry” Finn apologised.
I didn't know the exact emotion to feel. My ex boyfriend is back; infact he never left, he has always been there waiting for me to come back to him; he loves me so much.
I put on a little smile and touched his cheek, remembering the past we have shared and what we've been through.
“Maybe I should consider this situation as fate” I said.
“Maybe it's not, it's me, I put this up. I don't know, I just keep coming back to you in different ways…I..I put this up”
My face lit up, trying to understand what he meant.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to earn your trust again, I promise” Finn said.
I felt a sense of cautious optimism washed over me.
“We’ve had a long difficult day, I need you to have enough rest; because we are going to see my mom tomorrow; I wanna introduce you to her, so that the wedding preparation can begin immediately” Finn rushed his words.
“Whoa, hold on. Wh…what? Why so soon? You only made the suggestion today and we already have a wedding to plan?” I raised my brows, my mind spinning . He suddenly seemed to be in a hurry.
“ASAP!. I have already wasted enough time Rita. Time is not on our side, we have to do things properly”
“Besides the doctor has said that with this situation I'm going through, you have to be by my side always” I quoted the doctor. Despite my reservation, I was also eager to be married but I wanted him to make the move first as it should be. And now, we are at it! I looked into Finn's hopeful eyes and felt my heart swell with love for him.
“Exactly, more better reasons.Rita, I want us to start our life together as soon as possible. We are getting married before the end of the year!” He declared.

Rita’s POV
My heart raced as Finn led me to the walkway to his childhood home, a mansion where his mother lives. I knew his mom would be very surprised to see me, let alone to be introduced as his fiancée in tow.
Everything was just happening too fast for my mind to process.
I took a deep breath in as he rang the door bell,
Finn glanced at me and gave me a reassuring smile.
When the door opened, Finn’s mother stood there, her expression was a mix of surprise and curiosity.
“Sweet mother” Finn sang. “It's so good to see you” He embraced her.
I stood there, awkward and a little scared.
“Hello, ma’am.. Blakston” I said when they disengaged; surprisingly, she pulled me for a hug.
I was confused though.
Finn's mother smiled warmly at me as she released me from the hug.
“Come on in, both of you” She ushered us inside and we made our way to the living room.
“Rita Martinez, it's so great to see you again especially in this way” Mrs Blakston said.
I was still confused, I looked at Finn; I looked back and forth.
“I told mom about you last night, i knew you were nervous to meet her, so I informed her of our arrival ahead, that's how eager I was” Finn cleared the air.
“Oh” I mouthed.
“Rita was fast asleep when we spoke over the phone” Finn told his mom.
“Oou.. You were together last night! Make so much sense” Mrs Blakston teased then beckoned onto me by holding my both hands.
“Rita, I must admit, I was a surprised to hear about your engagement to my son but I'm excited to get to know you better”
I felt a sense of relief wash over me. Finn’s mother seemed genuinely happy to see me.
“Thank you, Mrs Blakston “ I replied respectfully. “I'm excited to get to know you better too”
“Lovely to hear” Mrs Blakston applauded.
“Told you, my mom is such a nice, sweet sweet mother” Finn whispered but his mom obviously heard.
“You're right” I smiled, comfortably.
“Oh, I never showed that side of me while I was in the office” She chuckled.
“How about Vanessa by the way?” She asked Finn.
I sat there, sipping the drink the maid had just served me, trying to be inconspicuous as possible as I couldn't just walk out so as to excuse mother and son conversation.
Finn responded “That witch! She caused a lot of drama in the office. I've asked the securities never to let her in and I've sent my rejection letter to her parents”
“I'm sorry, I kinda forced you”
“Not really. Let's forget about her now. And focus on me and Rita” Finn placed his hand over my neck.
“Oh yes, yes!”
Good, ‘cos it was starting to look like they left me out of their discussion.
“Hurray! We’ve got a wedding to plan!!”
