I'm in my office doing work peacefully without any disturbance but when I thought about peace my phone started to ring. I groaned and took the phone from my purse but it's not him, it's from an unknown number.
He used to call me whenever he wants. Hundred times Idiot!
If it's not him then who is calling me? I furrowed my brow and put the phone on silent before getting back to my work. If Juliet was here, I wouldn't feel this stress. These works are eating me alive.
Juliet is still upset and after talking with him, I didn't dare to ask for any help from anyone especially with her. I don't want to take the risk again and she needs some space too. These days I did all work by myself without anyone's help.
The first two days were a heavy headache and now I'm getting used to this. I snapped out of my thoughts when my phone started to vibrate on my table.
This buddy is going to die. I picked the phone and pressed the green button before bringing the phone near to my ear.
"Who's that?" I asked harshly. Whoever on the other line is responsible for spoiling my peaceful moment and they should give me a valid reason for that.
"Chill baby girl." A familiar voice spoke from the other line.
"Draco?" I asked slightly surprised.
"So you still remember me, huh?" He asked causing me to chuckle.
"I'm not joking." I heard him say.
"I didn't say anything." I rolled my eyes even though he can't see me.
"You disappeared suddenly giving us no trace of yours and now you are asking me who remembers whom, huh?" I accused him of his negligence.
Draco is Uncle John's third son and is a playboy too. He almost disappeared for two years saying he want to visit most of the countries. He didn't contact anyone until now.
"Okay.... okay... I admit. The fault is all mines. I'm sorry. By the way, how is my niece?" He asked referring to Sweety.
"She is doing good and she is missing you guys." A smile unknowingly played on my face by the mention of my cute little Angel.
"Ohh... my poor Sweety, She would have missed me as this uncle does." He cooed through the phone.
"Haha... she barely reached one and a half years when you left, so don't worry she doesn’t miss you. I doubt she even remembers you now." I chuckled.
"What? Riya, why did you do this to me? Haven't I told you to tell her that she has a handsome uncle out there? Oh god! I didn't expect this from you! You broke my heart." He started to sing a song.
"Okay, no problem. I will give a visit on Saturday and me, myself will tell her that she has a handsome uncle and my..."
"Where are you Draco? It sounds like you are at NYU?" I asked cutting him off in his mid-sentence expecting an answer as 'yes.'
"Yes, I am. I'm here to attend the party that one of our clients is throwing for reaching his life century." He joked.
"Draco, don't say like that. He is older than you, at least give him some respect for his age." I scolded him like he is my younger brother.
"Okay, my lord...!! Amen." He teased.
"Riya." The temperature in the air suddenly changed and he sounds nervous. "I'm here with my girlfriend, is it okay to bring her to see you?" He asked hesitantly.
"Draco, you no need to ask. I want to see who the luckiest girl is." I told him grinning widely. "And how long you are going to stay with her?" I asked this time playing the role of his mom.
"Oh...." He groaned. "Come on Riya, I'm serious. I love her. I don't think I can live without her." I inhaled deeply and shook my head. Why everyone uses these words when they can't keep their promise. Nowadays those words have no value.
"I trust you Draco, you never broke her heart," I said truthfully.
"You have my words, Riya." He sounds sincere.
"Okay then. See you Saturday. Send my love to my little cutie." His tone once again lightened.
"I will." With that, we bid our goodbye and hang up the phone. "Such a crazy." I shook my head and glanced at my wristwatch. No wonder why my stomach is growling, it's past two in the evening.
Fastly, I arranged all the stuff which was shattering all over my table but a shadow fell on my purse got my attention when I was about to grab my phone.
He is staring directly into my soul with a frown on his face. I am tired of lecturing him to have some manners so I gave up.
"You are smiling?" He asked folding his arms against his well-built chest.
"So?" I asked raising my eyebrows meeting the same attitude.
"Nothing." He clenched his jaw. His features seemed tense. How long he has been there?
"Why are you here?" I asked in a bored tone. Always he will come bringing his silly reason like wanted to check the file or something. Sometimes I didn't even get what he was saying.
"I just wanted to know whether you are okay." Does he care?
"And why?"
"I called you many times but you didn't pick my call." He then looked at my phone with narrowed eyes.
"I'm perfectly alright, now you can leave." I gave him a fake smile showing my upper tooth before dismissing him.
"Be ready at six in the evening, I will pick you up." He said before walking out of my office.
As usual, Juliet doesn't show up for lunch. I had my lunch alone and returned to my office. I missed our old days. Time flew so fast.
"Hmm..." I let out a sigh and began to work until my shift time was over.

"Baby, how do I look?" I asked Sweety who seems very busy with her Barbie doll. It's Friday that means I am forced to attend the party with him.
"Mom you look like my angel." She gave me a toothless smile before giving her attention to her doll.
I wore a purple color mermaid dress which has a V neck showing my cleavage a bit and bracelet sleeves, which hugged my body perfectly and I put on a matching ear stud. I curled my hair a bit then let them free wander up to my waist.
I chose a simple slipper to wear because I'm not good with heels after the delivery. It makes severe back pain even I wore it for an hour. So it's better to be precautions.
"Awww!! Thank you, baby." I kissed her chubby cheeks.
"Ewww!" She wiped her cheeks and pouted her lips. She is so adorable. I can't help but kiss her pouted lips once again.
"Mommy!!!" She wailed.
"Okay...Okay." I raised both my hands as surrender.
When I told her about Draco, she gave me an expected answer. Well, what would I expect from the kid who was so little when her uncle left to wander around the world.
I heard a beep sound from my phone. I told him to text me once he reaches the apartment. "Baby, Mommy will be back very soon, be a good girl. Okay?" I said and she nodded her head.
I asked Miss. Jaden to look after Sweety till I come. The doorbell rang and I went to open the door thinking it might be her, but there stands a man wearing a white tuxedo plastering a smirk on his face.
He eyed me up and down then inhaled deeply. He adjusted his necktie before he spoke, "may I come in?"
"No." I closed the door but he put his leg between the door.
"What do you want? I told you to wait outside." I gritted my teeth.
"Uncle Monster?" Sweety called from my behind causing me to facepalm mentally.
"Hey, little bunny." He waved his hand like they were close friends from diapers that made me furrow my brows. When did they become closer?
Miss. Jaden came at the right time before the earthquake would explore. "Bye baby." I kissed her forehead and walked towards the elevator, him following me behind.
"You look beautiful." He mumbled while opening the door for me like a gentleman. I ignored his compliment and climbed inside his passenger seat. The rest of the ride was silent and I'm glad he has his head still on.
As usual, I didn't find this party as entertaining, most of the young men were approached me and asked me to dance with them but he stood beside me all the while throwing them a murderous glare. I don't know what gets into him.
"The backyard is awesome. I like those rose scrubs." I heard a faint voice but somehow it seems familiar.
I started to look for the owner of that voice and my eyes landed on a tall figure, beside a girl was standing; they were smiling heart to heart.
Hmm... Who is that?
Draco? What is he doing here? I furrowed my brows then it clicked on my mind. He is here for attending Mr. Vanez's party that he mentioned on the phone on another day. Shit!! I should have asked him earlier. I grinned widely but it cut off when Kayish shook my shoulder gently.
Ahh... I mentally groaned.
"Are you okay?" He asked confused by my previous state.
"How do I look like to you? Don't forget to keep your distance from me." I spat at him.
"Can't I get some peace, idiot?" I muttered then looked in the direction of where he stood earlier.
"I heard you." He said in his calm tone.
"Good for you." I rolled my eyes.
When Draco turned his head, I waved my hand to get his attention but the girl who stood in front of him said something to his ear which made them laugh richly. She must be his girlfriend.
"Hmmm..." I slumped my shoulder when I failed to get their attention. If I was in my school I would have called their name loudly. But now I need to behave like a mature woman.
I started to walk towards him ignoring his question of "where are you going?" but froze on my spot when I was happened to see the girl's face.
I'm happy but at the same time anxious too. I don't know how to face her, it has been a good four years gap between us but we remain friends, aren't we? Hash! Even I'm not sure about our friendship. I glued on the floor thinking whether to call her or just pretending like I didn't see her here.
But fate has another plan for us because when our eyes met, time froze under our feet. The smile on her face dropped, a flash of emotions crossed on her face but I couldn't read it. Then she started to run out of the hall.
"Claire," I called her name and ran after her.
