The little bunny narrowed her eyes at me placing both her hand on either side of her waist like I snatched her favorite chocolate from her. Karan always gave me this look whenever I snatch his chocolate just to irritate him. I ignored her stares and turned my attention towards Juliet who seemed slightly uncomfortable.
"Miss. Hamen haven't I told you just pass the information to her family? Then why did you bring her?" I pointed my forefinger towards the little bunny who was giving me a murderous glare like her mother but the only difference is green orbs replaced by blue.
"Sorry, Boss. Sweety was so adamant about coming here, that's why I brought her. I apologize to you." She said fidgeting her finger nervously while her gaze was solely on the floor.
"Look at me when you speak, you dammit!!" I snapped at her. I won't appreciate these kinds of attitudes and I wonder why dad hired her as my PA when lots of smart people were out there.
She immediately raised her head to look at me as an obedient child. I could feel she is shaking internally but who cares.
"I will stay here with Sweety." She said, her voice was barely audible.
"Leave." I gritted my teeth.
"Huh?" She furrowed her brows as I gave her an endless task to complete in a day.
"Don't you hear me? Just leave." This time I used my harsh tone.
I don't know who tried to harm her but it's clear that one of my employees wants to hurt her, maybe want her dead too. So, it's better to be cautious than take a risk and I won't trust anyone with this whether the person is her friend or not.
"I won't leave." I heard the little bunny's stern voice from my behind. When I turned around, I saw the little bunny was sitting on the chair far away from me and folding her arm stubbornly.
"Sweety baby...." Juliet started to blabber, but I raised my hand to stop her.
"Don't touch my patience, Miss. Hamen. It's better to leave if you wish to keep your job." I threw her a murderous glare. I know I'm acting like one of the pregnant women who were in angry mode but right this moment I don't care.
I strictly informed the doctor not to allow anyone to visit her until she gains consciousness.
She glanced at the little bunny who was stubbornly sitting far away from me and then looked at me. "Okay, boss. I am leaving but she hasn't eaten anything from the evening," She mumbled before walking away.
What did she think about me? Do I look like a babysitter? I cursed and sat there silently.
After a while, my stomach growled loudly begging for me to fill my stomach. I had a burger for my lunch and now I am hungry as a lion.
I glanced at the little bunny who has buried her both cheeks on her open palm and rested them on her knees, tapping her feet continuously on the floor.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked losing my patience. But the little bunny looked at me for what seemed to be a nanosecond, then turned her gaze towards the floor then started to tap the floor again.
"Stubborn," I muttered under my breath then took my phone to order the pizza because I am never fond of hospital food.
The pizza has arrived within half an hour and I'm more glad. I can do whatever I want; no one is going to question me because I own this hospital.
I took a slice of pizza and handed it to the little bunny. She is three and a half years old which means she can feed herself by own.
She looked at me and then my hand then again looked at me. Suddenly, her facial expression changed as her creamy skin turned into a shade of pink, it seems she is going to cry.
"Aren't you hungry?" I asked calmly, biting my inner cheek not wanting to scare her.
Slowly, she nodded her head.
"Then why?" Seriously, I have no idea what was running into her tiny brain.
"My mom used to feed me." She pouted, her eyes got glossy. My heart mellowed seeing her like that but I shook my head to get rid of those feelings and focused on her. The mother and daughter love is getting my nerve.
"Today your mom is not well so eat it by yourself." I handed her a slice of pizza and started to eat mine. But the little bunny didn't touch her food not even glance at the slice.
I put the pizza on the box and set them aside for me before looking at her again.
"Are you going to eat or not?" I raised my voice. But seriously regretted it later a second. I shouldn't have done that, but she left me no option.
She whimpered and threw the pizza on the floor. "I want my mommy," She began to cry. Her face turned into a shade of red and I feel pity for this little bunny for the first time. I tried to convince her but she cried loud enough to make my ear goes deaf.
"I will feed you. Is that okay with you?" I asked but regretted it when I realize what was slipped out of my mouth.
"But monster won't feed" ...hiccup... "then how could you feed me?" She again pouted her lips, tears are pooling down her cheeks. Ahh!! Why did it hurt me?
"First, don't call me a Monster. And yes, I can feed you." I said using one of my most calmed tones.
She waited for a moment then nodded her head up and down.
"Okay..." I inhaled deeply. Seem I can able to manage the whole employees more than this kid. I didn't think that it would be very difficult to convince a kid especially this little bunny but I learned the lesson that it is harder than I thought.
I took a small slice of pizza and once again looked at her. Her blue eyes looked at me eagerly waiting for me to feed her. Reluctantly, I put the pizza on her mouth which she gladly opened her mouth.
I started to feed her but stopped when I felt a sharp intimating pain on my finger.
Urgh!! The little bunny bit my finger and it's clear that she did it purposely.
"What for that?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"I am full." She rubbed her stomach. I tried to feed her again but she refused to open her mouth, so I gave up. I made her drink the water then started to eat mine.

"What?" I asked when I felt her continuous stares at me.
"Can you buy me chocolate?" She asked more likely in her sweet innocent voice.
"No." I sternly said and put the box on the dustbin.
"Hey!!" the little bunny called using her most demanding voice. When I was about to turn, my cell phone rang signaling someone is calling me. I took the cell phone from my pant pocket and attend the call.
It's my annoying friend Harith and I know why he is calling. He has something to do with Riya and was doing this deliberately for taking my nerve.
"Just monitor the CCTV and try to figure out who did this," I told him to shut his mouth and cut the call briefly.
I walked towards the place where I and the little bunny was seated earlier but was shocked to see the chair was empty and the little bunny was nowhere to find.
Where did she go? For some unknown reason, my heartbeat accelerated fastly.
Shift!! I cursed mentally and ran towards the lobby to find her. I alerted all the people who were working in the hospital to look for her.
It's been twenty minutes since I have been started looking for the little bunny. My heartbeat is not helping when my mind brought different ways of ugly scenarios like someone kidnapping her.
I don't know why but I have a sudden urge to protect her and want to see her safe. At least I have to do for the sake of Riya or else she will burn me alive.
"Sir, we found her." One of the nurses came and informed me. "Thank God!" I let out a long sigh. I thanked her and walked towards the place where I was before because that is where they found her.
My anger built up when I saw the little bunny who was eating chocolate peacefully not caring for the whole world. I fisted my hands and stormed towards her but it was faded in a slight second when she gave me a sheepish smile. I forget how to breathe...
She is so beautiful like her mom and adorable too. Without saying any words, I sat beside her and leaned on the wall.
"Who bought you a chocolate?" I found myself questioning her like a dad. For a second, I wanted to be a real father to her.
But she can't be my daughter because someone took my place and gave me his Surname.
"One Aunt." She grinned at me showing her teeth which were fully smudged with chocolate.
"And...What is your full name?" Truthfully, I have no idea why did I want to know her full name but it just slipped out of curiosity, maybe I will get the name of who came to replace me in Riya's life.
"Sweety Jemima Kader." She replied instantly.
What? Why she didn't give his surname? I furrowed my brows looking for the answer to myself. 'It's maybe he was dead when she was born.' my subconscious mind replied.
Whatever.
We both stayed there silently. Jack offered me a VIP room to stay but I neglected it because I want to monitor her every move. Who knows anything will happen when I was stepped out of this place because the traitor is still outside.
I wished for her normal comeback, nothing more. I still remember the day when she got a panic attack and had admitted to the hospital. She was unconscious for almost 12 hours and I freaked out when she didn't open her eyes.
I even went to the church and lightened the thousands of candles, asked others to pray for her health. It all happened the day before our wedding.
As I was drowning inside the memories of our past life, I felt a small tap on my hand that made me look at my left. The scene in front of me is mesmerizing. For a second, time froze my everything including my brain that was indeed awake for some reason.
She, the little bunny, was sleeping peacefully, her mouth was parted slightly, and chocolate was smudged all over her face. Even in this situation, she didn't fail to capture my heart.
I wiped her face using my handkerchief. She stirred in her sleep and slowly opened her eyes. I rubbed her back up and down which made her go back to sleep. Gently placing her head on my lap I stroked her hair while watching her sleeping peacefully in my lap.
Ohh, God!! Why she can't be my daughter? I wished for the first time knowing it was my unfulfilled desire. She is right, she has a daughter to be happy with, but what I have.
