"Claire," I called her name and ran after her.
"Claire wait... Listen to me." I grabbed her shoulder and turned her to look at my face.
Wow!! She is beyond beautiful. I couldn't take off my eyes from her extreme beauty. Her creamy skin is Shone with armor in a dim light adding her beauty more. For a second, I fell under her spell.
"What do you want now?" Her hazel eyes looked deep into my soul digging every champers in my heart trying to find the intention behind why I was hurting her four years ago.
When Kayish dumped me, she offered me to go with her home and live with her parents. I love her family but did not want to become a burden to anyone, I ran away without saying any words when she went to the medical shop to buy an Aspirin for my pounding headache.
One thing she doesn't know is that I was pregnant with Kayish's baby.
As a good friend, she deserved to know everything, I mean everything but I failed to treat her like that. Her anger is reasonable.
"Take off your hands; I don't want to see you." She spat. Her eyes held pure anger and hate she felt towards me.
"Please, let me explain everything. Just give me a minute. Come with me." I grabbed her arm but she shoved my hand away as my touch burned her.
I swallowed the big lump that formed in my throat. I know I hurt her feelings but didn't expect the outburst from her.
‘No one is happy with me. I have no reason to be alive.’ I hardly controlled my sob. Then I felt two persons standing on either side of me.
One is Draco, who stood on my right side, his eyebrows furrowed together as not getting the entire scene, beside Kayish who knows everything stood on my left side with a blank expression.
"So, you are with him. Aren't you?" Her tone was accusing when she saw Kayish.
"I will explain, please." I took one step forward to reach her hand again, but I felt a strong flow on my left cheek that caused me to jump backward.
She slapped me.
"Claire." Kalish's voice boomed through the backyard. He clenched his jaw and grabbed my arm abruptly when I tried to retreat my hand away from his grip.
Claire didn't flinch a bit instead shoot him a hard glare showing all the harness she has towards him.
"What's going on?" Draco asked out of nowhere looking front and forth between us. Three wrinkle lines formed on his forehead giving me a cue as he doesn't get any of the drama which is playing in front of him.
Finally, his eyes landed on Kayish's strong grip over my hand. He furrowed his brow and looked at Claire.
"Claire do you know Riya?" Now he stood beside her and engulfed her in his arms when she broke into tears. He must be felt that something fizzy here.
"I wish I haven't had a friend like her." Her voice held so much anger. Her face turned crimson red when she glanced at my side.
"Enough Claire." Kayish roared.
"I thought you were dead, that's how your parents said but you are perfectly fine, rejoining with your dumbass ex-husband, aren't you?" She threw the question looking directly at me.
"Do you have any idea how badly..."
"Shut your mouth, Claire." Kayish let go of my hand just to take one furious step towards her.
"You mother f**ker!" Draco shouted anger is evident in his voice. As he realizes everything he charged towards Kayish and in no time his fist landed on his jaw.
He knew how I went through my whole pregnancy, he and his two brothers were kept asking me to give his name just to treat him a lesson, but I haven't told them who is he.
Kayish fell on the floor by his back losing his balance not expecting the sudden blow from him. Not satisfied with his attack, Draco tried to kick his stomach but he caught his leg and twisted aside causing him to fall on the floor with his face.
They both clutched their shirt collar and rolled to each other to start the endless fight. They started to throw a punch at each other faces.
"Draco, leave him. He is worthless for the fight." Claire drew him away from the furious Kayish who was wiping his mouth by his hand where the drop of blood is oozing.
"I don't care who you are, stay your butts away from my girl." He threatened. "Come on Riya." He grabbed my hand but his hand was shoved away by him.
"Don't ever touch her, she is mine," Kayish warned shooting him a hard glare.
"Who the f**k are you? She is my sister; I have full rights over her. Don't tell me what to do."
"Are you sure? You two are related to blood?" Kayish asked smirking widely which gradually pushed his opponent’s patience even further.
"Draco, leave... please," I whispered when he was about to open his mouth to say incoherent words, afraid of what if he slips and reveals the truth to him?
"No, I won't leave you, not with him." He shook his head.
Unable to take this drama, Claire ran as how fast she could. "Go to her." I mouthed to him.
At first, he was hesitant but ran after her, not before giving him a warning of saying if he will try to harm me, he won't hesitate to cut his ball.
I looked around the surroundings to make sure if anyone is watching us and closed my eyes when I found that the whole area was empty. Thank God! No one is here to be the witness of all this drama.
My heartfelt heavy as it's like I had murdered someone and hid from the cops. "You killed her feelings." My subconscious mind said sadly. I leaned on the tree for my support and closed my eyes, let's my tears fall through my cheeks.
After the fine 30 minutes of standing there with a dumped heart, I started to walk inside the hall. "Don't follow me." I turned my heels and glared at him when I felt his presence on my back.
He turned his gaze not daring to look at my face ashamed of himself. Whom I am kidding. He was never ashamed of anything. For him, He is right all the time.
After that I didn't feel him following me, so straight away I walked out of the hall and crossed the road then walked to my right. I stopped when I reached the club.
My legs automatically carried me inside the club and I asked the bartender to give me high pitch alcohol.
Now I need therapy to let go of my stress, so I find alcohol is good medicine right this moment.
"Sorry mam, we are closed." He said in his casual tone and turned to clean his table.
"Then why the f**k you left the door open?" I snarled.
"Okay... Okay, relax." He raised his both hands as a surrender.
I'm not fond of alcohol in my whole 25 years of being. I may take a single sip when I accompanied my friends to the occasion. But drinking the whole glass is not my to-do list. I don't even know the taste of it. Whether it could be sweet? Or bitter?
He set the glass in front of me. Without wasting any second I gulped down the whole alcohol in one shot and closed my eyes shut until it went deep inside my throat.
Holy Crap. It tasted...bitter. I felt my whole surroundings spin around. I barely drank one glass but I already felt tipsy.
The burning sensation I felt in my throat is begging me to stop but I like the feeling as I'm floating in the air that's how I ended up finishing the whole ten glasses in minutes.
"Give me a bottle, I don't want a baby drink," I asked the bartender to give more. He eyed me up and down but when I gave him a sheepish smile and a flying kiss, he handed me a bottle which I assume was champagne.
"You are welcome." I hiccupped and tried to open the cap but it was stubborn like me.
"Listen, I have no problem with you and... I hope we are fine. So open your damn mouth." I said to the bottle twisting the cap trying to open it.
"Ahh... It's not opening. Here, opened the bottle." I stretched my hand towards the bartender. Before he takes the bottle from me, someone snatched the bottle and grabbed my shoulder to steady myself when I lost my balance.
"Who the hell are you? Buy your own." He looked like a zombie to my eyes. I rubbed my eyes and again looked at him and now he has grown with three heads.
"Hipp..." I hiccupped again. You have three heads." I laughed and brought my finger to touch his head but he grabbed my hand. Even before he could do anything I kicked his feet making him groan with pain. I took this as my cue to snatch the bottle from him and succeed.
"Riya, that is enough. Come with me. Shit..." He snatched the bottle from me again when I succeed to open the cap. "Give me my bottle," I whined but he gulped down the whole champagne. Ohh. my. poor. champagne.
"It's too high...Why did you drink this?" The zombie questioned me. "Even I can't take this." I heard him mutter something under his breath.
"Give me another bottle," I asked the bartender who was busy with cleaning and packing all the things, ready to go his home.
"But mam..."
"Ewww!! Put me down." I hit his back when the zombie threw me on his shoulder and started to walk God knows where.
