“I’m doing this for me, Bryan. I want to have something I can call my own besides my dad’s companies” it was now Amy’s turn to cut Bryan off.
“That’s a brilliant idea and you have my support, but not with this company”
“And why is that?”
“I don’t want you having a hard time”
Bryan couldn’t come out open and tell Amy that it would take quite a while and a lot of effort to go into competition with already existing companies.
“I don’t get it. Isn’t that the point of starting up a company?”
“Why are you really doing this?” He then asked when he realized that he couldn’t talk her out of it.
“I just explained that to you”
“You know that’s not the whole truth”
It was moments like this that makes Amy hate the fact that Bryan knows her too well.
“Fine… I’m doing this also because I believe in you”
“And?..”
“And, I want you to prove to those cowards that you know what you’re doing”
“Is that all?” He asked with a knowing look. He could tell she still has something to say.
“You’re excellent at making healthy profits, so you’re my best choice for a business partner?” She admitted in a small voice. It sounded more like a question, as she didn’t want to upset him.
The decision was up to him. If he wants her as a partner for the new automobile company, great! But if not, she won’t argue with him on that.
“You know, those cowards have invested a lot in my company”
“But they still don’t have faith in you”
“That is business. Keep it in mind” Bryan replied, poking her temple.
“Ow!” Amy exclaimed exaggeratedly, earning a chuckle from Bryan.
“Does Henry know about your plans?” He suddenly asked, since a large sum of money will be required to acquire the company.
“Actually… No. I don’t want him suspecting a thing”
“And, don’t you think he will if you start withdrawing huge amounts of money from your account?”
“Does that mean you agree?” Amy excitedly asked.
“You haven’t answered my question” Bryan was trying to sound formal but he was failing miserably, as Amy’s beauty was enchanting.
“I’m his princess, remember?”
Bryan nodded in acknowledgement, there was no arguing that. He didn’t give her an immediate response because he wanted her to believe that he was giving it a deep thought, when on the contrary, he was glad she made such a brave decision. Now more than ever, he’ll do everything it takes to make this subsidiary company an independent one. With his business skills and Amy’s support, they’ll take the company to great heights.
“We’ll talk extensively in my office on Monday morning” he eventually replied.
“Yaay!” Amy engulfed him in a hug, showering his face with kisses.
“Are you for real?” She asked to make sure.
“I’ll change my mind if you keep asking that” Bryan teased.
“I won’t. I promise”
Bryan wasn’t expecting it when Amy suddenly straddled him.
“So…” She began, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“You said we’re going to discuss extensively in your office… How extensive do you mean?” She whispered the last part just inches away from his lips, like she wanted to kiss him.
She was teasing him, he could tell from the smirk on her face. So, he decided to play along.
“You get to know everything about the company” he replied.
“Everything?” Her minty and orange juice breath fanned his face, as she brushed his lips lightly this time.
“Everything… That way, you’ll know if you’re ready to go through with it or not”
“You know I never back out of something” she murmured against his neck, before sucking on it.
Bryan was playing it cool on the outside, but on the inside, he wanted more. As if Amy was reading his thoughts, she started grinding herself against him, to get him in the mood. Bryan’s hands that were previously on his sides found its way to Amy’s waist and went lower to her butt, giving it a light squeeze to get a better friction.
“Do I need to come with a lawyer, or is it just going to be the two of us” she whispered in her most seductive voice, enjoying how hot she was already feeling.
“Not really. A lawyer will only be necessary when you’re about to sign the contract” his voice came out deep and raspy this time, due to Amy’s increased pace. He was already hard and needed to be inside her.
“Then, it’s just going to be the two of us. I like that” she concluded, pushing him on the bed.
