SEVERAL MONTHS LATER
Amy was packing her suitcase, getting ready to leave for college in three days. She had applied for the university of Chicago and was accepted to the displeasure of her dad, who had wanted her to go to Stanford university, so she wouldn’t be far from him.
“Come in” Amy said when she heard a knock on her bedroom door.
“Not done packing?” Henry asked, as he closed the door behind him.
“Yeah. I didn’t think it would be this tasking to pack a simple suitcase” she replied with a frown of concentration.
“You’ll get the hang of it soon” Henry kissed her temple, rubbing her arms in a soothing and encouraging manner before making himself comfortable on her bed.
There was a comfortable silence in the room as Henry watched his daughter struggle to put the right set of clothes in her suitcase.
“Honey, you aren’t going for a fashion show, where you have to impress your guests, it’s college. So, whatever you choose to wear is fine” her dad said when he noticed her contemplating whether or not to put a particular dress in the suitcase.
“I don’t know.. I just feel like I need them all” Amy slumped on her bed with a heavy sigh. She was exhausted from packing her suitcase for the past six hours, and from the looks of it, she still has a long way to go.
“Are you entirely sure you want to stay in campus?”
Henry didn’t like the idea of his daughter staying in a confined room, or even sharing a room with someone else. Although she insisted that she would be fine, he was still skeptical about her decision.
“Dad, I’ve told you over and over again and I’m still going to tell you… I will be fine” she assured her dad, crawling to him, to cuddle up against him.
“Are you sure?... I can buy a house close to your school or rent an apartment, if you don’t want something big”
“I’m not a kid anymore, dad. I wanna experience what it’s truly like to be in college. I want to mingle and try to make new friends… I know you’re worried about me, but you have to trust me this once”
“I just want what’s best for my princess”
“Okay. Let’s make a deal..”
“I’m all ears”
“The second I don’t feel comfortable in the hostel, I’ll give you a call” Amy proposed, staring at her dad with expectant eyes, praying he’d agree and finally let go of the subject.
“I’ll hold you to your word” Henry replied after giving Amy’s suggestion a thought.
“Thanks dad” she excitedly crushed her dad in a bear hug.
“I love you, my angel”

Bryan just finished brushing his teeth and was about to leave for his study to work a little longer, since he wasn’t feeling sleepy yet, when he heard a light knock on his bedroom door. He looked at the clock, it was 9pm. He wondered who was at the door, because his maids should be getting ready to retire to their quarters at this hour. He answered the door and was surprised to see Amy standing there.
“Amy!” He exclaimed in surprise.
“Hi” she smiled, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
“What are you doing here?” Bryan couldn’t help but ask, as they didn’t plan on seeing each other until the day she was to leave for college, when he and Henry would see her off to the airport.
“I want to spend the night here” she replied.
Bryan let her into his bedroom, quietly shutting the door behind them.
“Does Henry know you left the house?”
After several hours of packing her suitcase, Amy told her dad that she would be going to her mom’s place to spend two days with her little brother, who was sad that he won’t be seeing his elder sister for a long time. But in reality, she wanted to spend the night at Bryan’s place before going over to her mom’s place the next morning.
Amy only nodded in reply, not planning on giving Bryan the full details because that would only get him worried.
Bryan stared at her skeptically for a few seconds and decided not to dwell on the issue.
“Would you like some snacks?” He then asked.
“Nah. I’m good.. I just want something comfortable to change into”
Bryan nodded in realization, going into his closet to find a shirt for Amy. He picked a white shirt from his top drawer and was about to turn around, when he felt a light weight against his back, with small hands around his torso.
“Make love to me, Bryan” Amy’s enchanting voice said, leaving him speechless.
Within seconds, Amy was in front of him. She had taken off the mini dress she was wearing and was now in her underwear, making it difficult for him to think clearly. Her intense gaze was enthralling, so much that he couldn’t look away.
“I-we- now is not the right time” he managed to stutter a reply.
“You’ve been saying that for God knows how long, Bryan… Next month will make us one year as a couple, isn’t that time enough?” She asked, her eyes already teary.
“I didn’t mean it that way. I-“
“I need you, Bryan”
“I don’t care if you don’t light up some candles with petals of roses or make a fancy dinner the cliché way.. I just need you” Amy continued while playing with his hair.
“I don’t have a condom here with me, so you might get pregnant” Bryan tried to make up an excuse.
He didn’t want them to take this huge step in the heat of the moment. He wanted Amy to be completely certain of her decision, because there will be no turning back after that.
“I don’t mind getting pregnant, as long as the baby is yours, but… I already took precaution” she replied with a smile.
“I’ve kept myself for only you, Bryan and I don’t regret it. I’m already twenty, that means I’m long overdue to still be a virgin” she continued.
The only thing going through Bryan’s mind at the moment was that Amy said she didn’t mind having a baby with him. It marvelled him when he found out during one of their dates, that she was still a virgin, not because she wasn’t ready, but because she was waiting to be with him. She surprises him everyday with her utterances, making him wonder how and why she was ever attracted to him.
“You really mean you can picture yourself having a baby with me?” He quietly asked when he was out of his trance, gazing into her perfect caramel orbs, with surprise evident in his voice.
“Of course. Why would I joke with something like that?”
Before Amy could realize what was happening, Bryan was carrying her bridal style back into his bedroom.
“I guess I said the right words” Amy said with a smile, resting her head against his chest.
Bryan placed her gently on his bed, staring intensely at her. Amy stared back at him with the same intensity.
Kneeling on the bed, she reached for the hem of his shirt, slowly lifting it above his head. She let her fingers explore his perfectly sculptured abs, as he was now shirtless. Bryan closed his eyes to enjoy Amy’s loving touch. He traced his finger along her cheekbone, going lower to her chin and finally stopping on her lower lip.
“Are you sure about this” he whispered.
“I’ve never been this sure of anything in my entire life”
At Amy’s reply, Bryan’s lips met hers. Amy ran her fingers from his hard chest, snaking her arms around his neck. Their bodies heatedly pressed together as they passionately kissed. She nudged him forward, pushing them both onto the bed. Bryan unlocked his lips from hers, pulling her further up on the bed.
“If you want me to stop, tell me now”
Amy said nothing in reply, rather she wrapped her legs around his torso, pulling him closer and taking his lips once again into the warmth of her mouth. His hands traced her smooth legs, moving up to her thighs. A low moan escaped her lips when he caressed her inner thighs, causing her toes to curl.
