After spending three days at her mom’s house, Amy went over to her best friend, Mandy’s house to spend the weekend. They spent the weekend catching up on each other’s relationship gist. They talked about anything and everything, until they ran out of topics.
When Monday came, Amy decided to spend two more days with Mandy. They visited Jack that morning, because Mandy wouldn’t stop whining about how she misses him, even though they’ve only been apart for a week.
While at Jack’s place, Amy got bored as her best friend was all over her boyfriend, totally forgetting about her. She should’ve known that this would be the outcome. Amy decided to go to the living room to watch a movie, leaving the two lovebirds to be by themselves.
When it seemed like Mandy wasn’t coming downstairs, so they would have something to eat as planned, Amy headed upstairs to inform her that she was leaving. As she approached Jack’s bedroom, her best friend’s moans prevented her from opening the door. She immediately knew what they were doing.
‘Thank goodness I didn’t rush into the room’ she thought to herself, cringing at the image of Mandy and Jack naked. That is a sight she never wants to see, ever!
Without informing her best friend of her departure, she left the mansion in Mandy’s car and headed for Bryan’s office. Over the past few days, they’ve only talked on the phone twice, because Bryan has been busy trying to resolve an issue that suddenly came up in his company. She wanted to have lunch with him, if that would be of comfort to him.
On reaching his office floor, she was told by his secretary that Bryan was currently in the boardroom, having a shareholders meeting, so she decided to wait for him in his office.
“Why did you leave?” Mandy’s text read.
‘So, now she remembers me’ Amy smiled to herself as she read her best friend’s text.
“Thinking about it, I should’ve stayed behind and joined you guys” Amy texted back.
“Eww!” Mandy replied with a disgusted emoji.
Amy could already imagine her best friend gagging.
“At least, now you understand why I had to leave”
“What about our lunch?!”
“You should’ve thought about that before getting horny”
“My car!!!”
Amy couldn’t hold back her laughter any longer. Mandy deserved that for abandoning her the minute she saw her boyfriend.
“You have Jack” she eventually replied when her laughter had died down, putting her phone back in her purse.
Just as Amy was putting her phone away, the door to Bryan’s office swung open and in came a total stranger. A guy probably in his mid twenties, 5ft11 with brown hair and brown eyes walked into the office like he owned it. He glanced around the office and stopped when his eyes landed on her.
“Excuse me, do you have an appointment?” The stranger asked smoothly.
Who does this guy think he is, acting all confident like he owns the place.
Amy scoffed at his insane question. Bryan’s secretary ought to have told him that there was already someone waiting for Bryan in his office.
“Do you?” She questioned back with a raised eyebrow.
“I don’t need an appointment to be here” he replied with a proud smirk.
Amy felt like slapping that smirk off his face. She hated pompous fools like the one standing before her.
“Neither do I… I’m sorry, who are you?” She finally asked as she was already irritated by his presence.
Rather than answering her question, the stranger joined her on the couch, took her hand and placed a kiss on it.
“I’m Sean” he gave her a flirtatious smile which Amy retuned with a disgusted look, snatching her hand back.
“Whatever” she muttered to herself, as she grabbed her purse that was beside her.
To think she was going to have a peaceful afternoon with Bryan, this Sean guy has just ruined her mood. She can’t spend a minute longer with this stranger.
“Leaving already?... We were just getting to know each other” Sean said, copying Amy’s action as she was already on her feet.
“It didn’t look that way to me” she replied, making her way to the door.
“I didn’t catch your name”
“That’s because I never threw it”
Sean stared at the door, like there was something interesting still there. His smile never left his face as he wondered who the gorgeous lady was that just captured his heart at first glance.
