I step into the kitchen and mom asks me how I’m doing.
Teala, can I tell them now? Teala nods.
Go ahead tell them.
I take a deep breath, and tell mom
“I’m feeling a little sore from shifting for the first time.”
Mom’s eyes go wide and so does Jeremy..
“Why didn't you tell us?”
“We could have helped you with your first shift.” Mom said.
“Teala helped me mom.”
“Is Teala your wolf?” Jeremy asked.
“Um, not really. She is kind of aaa Um, A Fox.”
Jeremy stops with a fork half way to his mouth when he says.
“Did you say a fox?”
“Yes, a fox.” I told him.
“We need to have a talk.” Mom said .
“Teala said you know what I am and can explain what's going on.”
“Sooo, Spill mom.”
“Yes Ala, I can explain, but I need to know Have you come into your powers yet?”
“Yes, I know about the powers.” Mom said.
I look at her.. “How do you know?”
“OK guys, sit down.. I’ll give you the quick version.”
Ala and Jeremy both sit on a kitchen stool and lean forward.
“Ala, our ancestors are of a Magical fox.”
“The Moon Goddess made us, just like she made the Werewolf.”
Jeremy chirps in and asks “ Why am I a Wolf?”
“Because your father was a wolf and only a female from our line can be a Firefox.”
“But you have a wolf. I've Seen her”. I told my mom.
Yes, but Firefox only shows up every two to three hundred years.”
“You are very rare. And most pack history books talk about Teala.”
“Teala is an ancient. She has been around since the beginning.”
“You can read up on her in the pack library.”
“There is only one. And that's Teala.”
“My great, great, great grandmother had Teala.”
Tealas nodding in my head..
“Soo, why didn't you tell us of her before?” I asked.
“I did.. I told them as bedtime stories when you were little.”
“I remember that.” Jeremy said.
“OK, here's the deal.” mom said
“Adam’s family knows of my ancestors.”
“Our families have been tied together forever.”
“also note that it's time for Teala to show up again.”
“You can trust Adam and his father.”
“Also Kenon the Alfa of Red Moon pack.”
“I'm not sure if his son knows so until we find out what kind of person he is,
I wouldn't Say a word.” Mom said.
“We need to talk to Kenon,Connor and Adam this morning.”
“Did anyone see you shift? “ “
“No. I was alone at the lake.” I told my mom.
“OK, you two eat up and go get dressed.. “
“We need to get this over with so
“We can have more protection for you and Teala.”
We arrive at the pack house and Adam, Connor and Anna.
Adam is Alpha and Connor is Adam's dad and the old Alpha.
Adam greets us and escorts us to his office.
Kenon should be here shortly. Connor said.
We sat down and Jenny said “ Adam. I'm sure you are aware of the legend of Firefox.”
Adam’s eyes go wide and assures us that he has read up on all writings on Firefox.
“Connor and Kenon have told stories from our ancestors.
“personal accounts with your family.” Adam assured us.
Everyone looks at Ala..
“I assume Ala has been gifted with Teala.” Kenon said as he walked into the office..
“How does he know about Teala?” Ala whispered.
“I can answer that.” Kenon said.
“Our families have been allied for hundreds of years.. We are the protectors of Firefox.
Both our Packs will protect her with our life.
Once you find your Mate. Your powers will grow.
Your mate shares some of your powers.”
“Ala, you have to understand you are our protector also.. You protect the Packs.”
Alright guys? “Now that Teala is with us again, We need to start her training.” Kenon said
“We need to get ready for the Blue Moon Ball, or NEW MOON BALL.
New moon is a time for new beginnings or a fresh start.”
“Ala Should find her mate now.” Kenon stated.
It’s midnight when we return home and I’m exhausted and my head is spinning
From everything that was said..
After Kenon and Conner told tales of their families and Connection to mine,
I started to realize that these people have been waiting for Teala's return for a long time..
Kenon Looked into my eyes and said “Hi Teala.”
Teala's voice came through my mouth. “HI Alpha.”
You look like Dean, your Grandfather of the past…
My eyes are wide.. My hands go over my mouth.
“How can she speak through me?” Aloud?”
I need to get some rest. I’m freaking out.
“Teala is hard to control.” She has a mind of her own.” Kenon laughed.
It's been a week since I was at the pack house.. We have been training in private.
everyday.
I woke up well rested today.. Thank goodness, because the ball is tonight.
Alex came over to help with my hair and makeup.
Mom had already picked up my gown.
I’m so nervous.
I hope I meet my mate, because there is no way that Joshua is my mate even though he acts like he is.
