For the first time in his years of being a military man, Tunde was excited and giddy with happiness to be going home after a long day of training. There's this feeling of exhilaration in his heart that he can't explain, when he think of his girlfriend waiting for him at home. He can't just wait to see her.
As he drove through his gate, Shegz appeared immediately as if he has been waiting for his boss to come home. He immediately opened the car door for him as soon as the car parked
"Welcome sir" he greeted and bowed slightly
"Report"
"I picked Miss Abby up at her brother's office at Victoria Island, then on our way home she stopped at the local market to get some things..."
"She stopped at the local market!?..." Tunde repeated, his voice suddenly gone cold
"No, not by herself sir, I stayed by her side all through as you requested"
"Good..."
"...and she gave us dinner," Shegz said a little too quietly not knowing how his boss would react to the news of his girlfriend cooking for them.
"Us?..."
"All of us sir, the whole crew"
"That's mighty nice of her then... Anything else?"
"No sir!"
"Okay, I'll be driving myself to work tomorrow morning, so meet me at the TKMF base"
"Alright sir"
"That would be all then, good night."
"Good night sir."
Tunde entered his house and went straight to check on Abby in the kitchen thinking she would still be there. Except for the, heavingly aroma coming out of the oven, the kitchen was empty and tidy as usual.
He went upstairs then and found her lying on the bed. She was surrounded by books and fast asleep. Two textbooks about Chemical Testing of Textiles and Textile Chemistry was lying face down on her belly.
Her hand was resting on an open notebook and a pen was hanging loosely from her flaccid hand.
It was obvious she had fallen asleep while studying. He picked up the notebook and wondered...
'Does fashion school these days offered chemistry as a subject?'
Just like her, her handwriting was precise. it was cursive, neat, and easy to read. He closed the laptop and put all the books away.
Careful not to disturb her sleep, he laid beside her, staring at her face, 'I can never get tired of looking at this beautiful face he thought to himself, his love for her shining through his smile.
Abby woke up after some time, her eyes met with his and her face broke into a smile when she saw him lying beside her.
"You're back..." She said with a voice that was still foggy with sleep.
"Yeah...you're even beautiful when you sleep."
"Hmmn..." She said and moved over to where he was lying.
"It's obvious you've had a long and busy day, you look tired." She said concern etched on her beautiful face "...you must be hungry, come let's go eat, I'm hungry too." She added, getting up from the bed while pulling him along with her.
"Not even a kiss?..."
"What?..."
"Come here..." He said and pulled her towards him, kissing her lightly on her lips before hugging her tightly to himself. "Hmmn...glad you're here cos I've missed you. "
"Same here, now you've had your kiss, I'm hungry," She said, pulling away from him "...let's eat by the pool"
"Don't you think the night is a bit cold?"
"Let's wear something thick then, I want to eat outside by the pool."
After changing into one of his sweats. They sat down and ate their dinner.
"That was delicious, Is there still more? Mide and Lekan need to taste this" he said when they were done eating,
"Who are Mide and Lekan?"
"My elder brothers, they are twins."
"Yeah there's still more. Should I pack it for them?"
"Yes please." He replied kissing her lightly on her lips.
After the food had been packed, he sent it through one of his men.
"So lemme quickly go grab some drinks then we can talk." He said to her while she went back and sat by the pool.
"Okay"
He came back shortly with a bottle of red wine, a carton of fruit juice, and two glasses.
"I don't know if you would prefer wine or juice so I brought both..."
"Juice is fine," she said and stood up from the table. They both walked down and sat on the double reclining lounge chair that was placed by the pool
"So let's get to know each other properly..." Tunde said as he placed his wine glass aside and leaned back on the chair.
"You go first," Abby said with a smile
"Okay....in a nutshell, Olatunde Paul Beckley was born and raised in Georgia. I came to Nigeria for the first time when I was seventeen and went back again at eighteen."
"I studied computer science and engineering at MIT before joining the US army. Came back finally to Nigeria at twenty-six and joined the Nigerian Army. I retired from the army as a Colonel.

"Wait, wait, wait...you are what!?" Abby asked with surprise, not sure if she heard him right. "...did you just say you are the chairman of the three kings conglomerates!?"
"Hmmn..." He said as a form of confirmation "...does that explain the house and the cars then?" He asked and laughed, amused by the surprised look she had on her face
"You are that rich? You guys have your hands in almost everything... Like how old are you?" she asked with awe.
"Actually I'm not that rich, I only owned a few companies under The Three Kings... Let me see, I owned The Kings Private Military Force, The Kings Software development and IT consultant company, The Kings Construction firm... Those are the major once and I'll be thirty-one by December 23rd," he said and winked before continuing.
"The Three Kings Conglomerate is a parent company to different subsidiary companies under it. It was established by my brothers and I. Those two idiots only decides to give me the title of the chairman because Lekan the youngest of the twins by ten minutes didn't agree that Mide should be the chairman just because he's older by ten minutes. They would rather give me the title than let either of them have it.
"Petty..." Abby said laughing
"Indeed...so are you satisfied or do you have any question?"
