Theodore took Griffin in her arms, hoping she would calm him down.
"He is hungry," Scarlett muttered and turned around before lifting the sports bra that she was wearing before the food that he wanted.
"You’re a witch." Theodore pointed out, but he dared not reach near her, respecting her privacy. Unlike werewolves, witches and vampires didn’t like nudity, so invading their privacy wasn’t a good idea.
"I’m also a mother, smarty-pants," Scarlett responded. "And don’t forget your baby also has wizard’s blood in his vein." She snapped at him. Theodore didn’t say anything about that part. He had met her daughter, Raven, who was barely a year old. So he could guess how Scarlett could breastfeed Griffin.
‘This was our mate’s right. She had to feed our pup for the first time. That bastard stole that moment from both of them.' Inigo growled in anger.
Neither of them could understand how Liara could fall into a trap. His mate wasn’t that stupid, and she wasn't that weak.
‘Dotty, where is she?' Inigo asked. With that, Theodore recalled how all the robots were in the war. The way his mind was trying to put 2x2, his suspicion was going toward Colton. It was impossible for a protective brother like him not to be here, not when he knew that Liara’s life was at stake.
"Can you find him?" Theodore asked, looking at his brother, who shared the same power as Lestat, but the only reason Lestat was stronger than him was that he was using black magic. Because it was said that no one could find that Lestat.
"I haven’t tried. But he used to locate me whenever I used my power." He responded.
"Then try it. I need that bastard." Theodore ordered.
"Listen sweetheart. I take orders from no one." Hearing this, Theodore was ready to request and apologize to him when his brother beat him. "But I owe my life to your mate." He said, confusing Theodore. "She used her power to heal everyone who was injured in the war, and while doing so, she healed my mate," he explained, to which Theodore nodded his head; after all, now Liara had learned to heal anyone without touching them.
But he didn't know that even his mate was in the war.
"I thought I was helping her and she would owe me, but she proved me wrong."
"Where is Lee?" Sophia asked in a low tone when Brandon put her down on the ground. Soon everyone arrived there. Most of them were almost fine except for a little injury.
When Theodore didn’t reply to her, she got the answer to her question on her own. She reached for Theodore and hugged him.
"Don’t blame yourself, Theo." She spoke as if she could read Theodore’s mind, who was mad at himself for leaving Liara’s side.
Theodore looked at Brandon, whose eyes were on him already. He tried to read Brandon’s mind.
‘As much as I want to blame him for Lee’s disappearance. I can’t ignore the fact the robot that Colton had built was also in the war. Should I tell this everyone? No. I need to find out about all this on my own first. God! Sophia can never take this news well if she would come to know about it.’
"How many do we lose?" Theodore asked.
"Around fifty to seventy. The figure is not exact for now." Ambrose replied. "If Liara wouldn’t have healed the injured ones then the number would have been above two hundred or more." Steve Weasley spoke.
"And we will do everything in our power to get her back," Rebecca said, wiping away her tears and pressing a small smile onto her lips. Sophia broke the hug and reached toward Rebecca to console her. She knew the pain of losing a mother.
Theodore knew what had happened earlier. Hell, he would have died too with that bullet if... if Ethan hadn’t pushed him away. At that time, he thought Ethan was attacking him, but little did he know that he was trying to save his life, and while doing so, that bullet hit Ethan. Never did Theodore imagine that Ethan would save his life, after all, he never liked him.
‘Tell Doctor Wayne to... take care of Ezra.' These were his last words. That, too, was not for him but for his mate. Theodore wouldn’t have been surprised if Ethan had said that he saved his life just because he was Liara’s mate.
That was when Crystal and he started targeting everyone who had a gun in their hand.
And again, there was a clue that Colton was involved in all of this.
Well, he had no proof of it because there were five supernatural hunters in the world. And there could only be five supernatural hunters in the world at one time. Until and unless anyone among them didn’t die, the six members couldn’t appear.
"Here, he is full," Scarlett said, passing Griffin back to Theodore. Griffin looked at him with a tiny, cute smile.
"May I?" Eleanor asked to carry him. Theodore gave him to her without a second thought. The best part was that Griffin wasn’t creating a fuss by going into anyone’s arms; in fact, he was looking at everyone curiously. "Everyone!!" Eleanor used the aura of the Queen and lifted Griffin, showing it to everyone. Griffin looked at everyone and said, "Meet your future werewolf king, Griffin Ambrose Wayne."
Everyone hooted and howled, expressing their excitement and happiness. Even listening to their howl, Griffin remained calm.
