Theodore smiled, looking at Liara, who was sleeping beside him. He watched her breast rise and fall. He leaned towards her and kissed her warm lips. He was trying his best not to jump on her to eat her hungrily.
"Odo." She moaned and pushed him away to sleep. "Go and check on Griffin." She muttered, hiding her face under the blanket.
Theodore chuckled and checked on their son through the baby monitor. He was sleeping peacefully in his room. He left the bed and thought to do some household chores until they were finally awake. He freshened up first and went straight to the kitchen. He did the dishes that were in the sink from last night.
It had been a week since he had found her, and he tried to give her as much space as she needed. He didn’t touch on the topic of what exactly happened there. Though a little part of him was waiting for her to open on her own, it looked like even she, too, was waiting for something. She didn’t give him a chance to kill his so-called sperm donor; in fact, she had already killed him that morning when they reached there.
"Come on, Rascal. Wake up!!" Theodore tried to wake Griffin up by hitting his buttock. He picked him up in his arms before he would have started crying. "You’re not a vampire, so start sleeping at night," Theodore muttered, taking him out of the house.
The moment Griffin came out, he started looking around, and the frown on his face disappeared. He kept watching all the new faces one by one for a while before starting to cry for his food.
Theodore didn’t realize when his two hours passed while spending time with his son, giving him a body massage, then giving him a bath, and making him wear his tiny clothes after applying all the baby products that his grandparents got for him.
Tugging him to the bed again, he went to check on Liara. She wasn’t downstairs yet, as it was already ten. When he walked inside, he found her sitting on the edge of the bed with a frown on her face.
"You okay, Lolo?" He asked, reaching near her and kneeling down in front of her. But before she could have answered him, he heard. The sound of a third heartbeat in the room. And the way Liara was tensed, he could bet that even she was aware of her pregnancy.
"What is stressing you?" He asked, holding her hand.
"You."
"Sorry?"
"You heard me."
"If you’re worried about my reaction, then I’m really okay." He added and kissed her hands.
Liara sighed before pulling her hand from his. "It’s not that I’m worried about your reaction, Theo. I’m mad at you because you aren’t asking me what happened and have started assuming things on your own." She muttered.
"I don’t understand."
"Nothing happened between Lestat and me except for the part where he tried to sexually assault me," Liara responded. Theodore kept his expression the same as before because the sexual assault was also a big thing. She might not have been raped, but Lestat attempted to rape her, right?
But he had sensed the smell of sex and Lestat’s body for her that morning.
"I’m sorry for assuming things." He muttered. "I didn’t ask you anything because I didn’t want to be the reason behind your pain. That’s why I was waiting for you to share that incident on your own."
"Give me your hand," Liara muttered and Theodore did the same, and the moment she held his hand, he found himself at the place where Liara was and Lestat had claimed her.
He wanted to run towards them and throw that bastard away from her, but he knew that he was just an audience member that had to watch this horrible movie.
"I know you were weak; that’s why you couldn’t handle the pain and accept my marking," Lestat said, licking Liara’s skin where he had marked her. After that, he started biting her all over her body, leaving his venom all over her body to turn her into a vampire, something that his son never did.
"Right now, I’m the oldest vampire in the whole vampire clan. That makes me the strongest of all. You’re lucky that I’m the one who is changing you." Lestat spoke confidently and watched Liara’s body quiver in pain. "The fact that I’m the one who is changing you means you will always obey me," he added.
"Marking is done; changing is done; now it’s time for mating." He spoke, clutching Liara’s jaw tightly.
He had barely leaned towards her lips when he was thrown away from Liara with an invisible force. He hissed in pain and watched Liara, whose body had already started changing slowly. All the marks of his bite on her body started disappearing. So, the vampire’s venom in her body had started doing its job.
He tried to reach her but was thrown away again.
"Magnus." He shouted, and immediately a vampire walked into the room. "What is happening?" He asked in anger; clearly, his plan flopped at the last moment.
