“Don’t you want your mate in your life?” He asked, cupping her face, making sure that she would look into his eyes. “Does it has anything to do with the incident that happened with you in the hostel?” Liara wanted to slam her head on the wall, thinking how her family members still believed that she was raped by a vampire.
On the other side, she couldn’t gather the courage to say that she wasn’t raped. Whatever happened that night was with her consent. But then, why did she sleep with a vampire? One after another, this would reveal the truth. The truth was that Theodore was hiding, and she knew how everyone wanted him dead.
“Princess!! You need to talk with your mate about it if not us?” Brandon said in concern, thinking the reason behind Liara ignoring Theodore was fear of getting rejected or fear of any male invading her personal space. “I was thinking of planning a date for you two. What do you say?” He asked, unknown of the fact that it was making Liara feel guilty.
“Dad…”
“Please say YES. And I’m not here to help him. I’m here to help my Princess. Give him a chance and talk to him. If things don’t work out, then you can reject him. But at least give that poor guy a chance. I’m setting a date for both of you tomorrow night, okay?”
“I have to tell you the truth, dad,” Liara said, mustering all her courage.
“Okay!! You have all my ears.”
“Dad, Theodore… I met Theodore for the first time approx two years back around my pack.” Liara said meekly, to which Brandon didn’t react. “I… I… I couldn’t reject him then, even though he was a rogue. Something you’re not fond of.” She added in a low tone. She wanted to speak more. She wanted to say what Theodore was but after speaking for a little. She started getting scared for Theodore’s life if he wouldn’t fight, as well as her parent’s life in case Theodore wouldn’t able to control his anger.
“This is it?” Brandon asked to which Liara nodded her head and closed her eyes in guilt. But for her staying guilty was better than saving her loved ones' life. “I kind of already figured that out,” Brandon said, to which Liara opened her eyes, looking at her dad in shock.
“Remember when I came to your pack with Calvin to take Jarlen’s dead body.” Brandon reminded on which she nodded her head. “I have cupped your face, and your body was warm. I felt that you were in your heat, which also indicated that you had already found your mate.”
“So, you are mad at him because he didn’t make a move back then. Otherwise, you would have been marked, and you won’t have to spend years in pain. But he was totally opposite with Tee?” Brandon asked, to which Liara stayed quiet. Was she mad at him? Nope. She was hurt.
“Princess, if that’s the case, then you should let it go. Sometimes we find the right person at the wrong time. So, maybe the situation when you met him, he was dealing with something else, but the situation in which Tiara met him, the situation was completely different.’
‘Yes!! When Tee met Theo, at that moment, he didn’t hate werewolves, but when we met Theod, he hated werewolves with passion.’ Destiny said, wagging her tail like a loyal dog.
Liara didn’t want to insult her by saying anything rude, but animals really couldn’t stay angry with their mates or loved ones. They might growl at you in anger or bite you, but just show them a little amount of love, and they come running into your arms.
“When you find the right person, at the right time, in the right situation, it means you’re meant to be together. Fate has grabbed both of your hands. DON’T LET GO.”
“After hearing all this, I now believe that you should go on a date with him tomorrow.” Liara nodded her head because she would have to explain the whole damn thing if she would say NO.
