Raymond POV:-
I woke up and saw Violet sleeping while sitting. We are in Celine's Room. It's unbelievable. My Only Sister Celine. I just feel like she's gonna enter her room anytime and yell. But she is no longer here. I still can't believe it. Why do you leave me behind? Wasn't the previous suffering enough that you have given me more? Who's gonna be with me? Who's gonna call me Raybro?
I curled up like a ball. I closed my eyes as tears began to roll down. It's been years since I have cried so much. I want to isolate myself from the world and be alone so no pain could reach me or else the pain is suffocating me. Life is too cruel.
I stood up and looked at Violet. Because of me, even she has suffered so much. I picked her up and put her in Celine's bed. I went to my room then.
I closed the door behind me. I sat on the ground, beside the bed and put my head on the bed, closing my eyes, falling into the darkness and misery.
It's all my fault. If I didn't push her away. Only if I wasn't that cruel and cold, she would be here. I am sorry Celine for pushing you away. I hope you might forgive me for being a bad brother...
...There are so many pains in my heart that if you try to dive in it, you'll sink and never come back...
Violet POV:-
I woke up in bed. I sat up and saw that I was in Celine's room. Why are the nicest people taken away first? First father. Now Celine. She was so sweet. She was the radiance of this house. The warmth of Raymond's cold heart. Why did it have to be her? Hasn't Raymond had enough anguish? What he has left that even was taken away from him?
I looked around for Raymond but he was nowhere to be found. I went out and asked Emma,
"Emma! Where is Raymond?"
"Ma'am. Sir is in his room."
I was about to go but Emma stopped me,
"Sir said that no one disturbs him."
"I can understand. But I can't leave him alone either."
She nodded.
"Oh yeah! Did he have breakfast?"
"No, Ma'am"
I nodded and went to the kitchen and cooked breakfast for him. I will never leave him in a situation like this. I tried my best to not to cry and stay composed, trying not to break.
I stood in front of the door and tried to open it but it was locked. I knocked,
"WHAT DO YOU WANT!?"Raymond yelled.
"Raymond. Open the door."I asked.
"I SAID DON'T DISTURB ME!"I sighed,
"Please..."I pleaded.
"GET LOST VIOLET!"He is getting angrier.
I sighed and began to say,
"Fine. Stay here! I will also not move from here!"I sat on the ground and put the tray of food beside me. I will never leave you. You need me. I need You. I will never leave you in this time of need, of pain. I might have vowed unwillingly to be your partner in happiness and sadness but now I want to comply with it with all my heart.
I lean my head on the door and began to say,
"Please...Raymond..Don't push me away.."
I closed my eyes and let the tears fall.
I remained like that for a while. Raymond opened the door and looked at me. His eyes were red. His form was messy. I really wanna cry, looking at him like that. He is so broken.
"Raymond...."I began to say as I stood up,
"You haven't eaten anything, Please eat something."
"I am not hungry."He said coldly.
I hugged him and began to say again,
"Please...Don't push me away. I am here and always will be ...Please.."He took a step back. He turned away for a second, then turned around and looked at me with a hurt look and hugged me as he let out his misery.
"Violet...Why me!? What have I done to deserve this!?"
He shouted. I couldn't hold my tears any longer. I also began to cry. I felt so pathetic for not being able to help him.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry."I began to cry out.
"Why are you being sorry?"He asked, pulling away and wiping his tears.
"I-I couldn't save you... I can't comfort you... I can't do a single thing for you...I am sorry." I said between the sobs.
He hugged me and rubbed my back.
"Shh... If you're gonna break.. then who's gonna fix me?"I sniffed as I rubbed my eyes.
"Let's eat.." I said with a sniffle.
He just nodded. He sat on the ground, beside the bed. I sat beside him and put my head on his shoulders. He took a bite and asked,
"Aren't you eating?"
"No... I have already eaten."I lied as I nuzzled close to him.
"Violet... I am eating for you... please eat for me.."He asked in a low worried tone.
I bit my lips. He picked the spoon and brought it close to my mouth.
"Eat.."I took the bite.
After eating I picked the plate I was about to stand but he held my wrist,
"Stay..."He said in a broken tone. It pierced my heart to hear him like this. I put the tray aside and wrap my arms around his arms. I put my head on his shoulder. And closed my eyes.
After remaining like that for a while he began to say,
"I was just four... she was so tiny... so cute... I am the one who named her..."
"You Did?" I asked him.
"Yes...They were thinking of a name and I suggested one..."
"They?"
"Mr and Mrs Smith."He coldly said.
He then continued again,
"I used to play with her.. .Every time I looked at her I felt so happy...She was so pretty. My princess, I.. always tried my best to never hurt her feelings... You know...One day she went to my study without my permission...when I entered I saw her ...I scolded her..when I looked at the table there was a birthday card on my table...I felt so bad...I then spend the rest of the day trying to convince her to forgive me..."We both chuckle a little. I also began to tell him,
"When I was a kid, my father collected some beetles and stored them in a jar....hiding them from mum...One day mum was trying to find father's file..and saw that jar. She got scared and the jar fell to the ground...All the beetles were released so was mum's fear. I and Kenneth laughed as Father tried to collect them ...."He laughed.
"Your poor mum.."
We both smiled a little. Then his smile faded as he began to say,
"Both of them used to hit me... Celine always applied ointment to my scars... We never really had a happy family moment together... Celine and I had many memories together and all of them are the same... she is crying while applying ointment.. She was the only person who truly loved me...."He looked down. Then he began to cry and looked at me,
"You know what Violet? I felt my world was no more... I pushed her away... Never allowed her to save me... I am too scared to be saved again. Whenever I am happy, some great sorrow always hits me like an arrow. Why can't I be happy? Even if I am cruel, isn't life cruel to me?.. Can't I feel loved?..I... I had no one.. I.. am all ...alone" He cried as he told me his feelings. The tears were falling from my eyes. I hugged his as I patted his back and began to say,
"You have me. I am always here for you.."
"You know that you are nothing but an obsession... Don't force yourself..."His words broke my heart. He's right. There's no such thing as love between us and he will never let it, I cupped his cheeks, staring deep into his eyes and said firmly,
"If making me yours is your obsession, then, Saving you is my Obsession.."
"I am here and always will be, "I then said in a comforting manner. I pulled my hand away and dug my nails in my palm so as not to cry.
"Please... Never leave me.." Raymond said in a low voice.
"Don't worry I won't" I smiled as I ruffled his hair, pulling him close to me, trying to give him solace in times of need.
Either way,We both are each other's obsession...
