Sophie's P.O.V.
Oh god I hope I got his name right.
The handsome guy with jet black hair turns to look at me and quickly starts taking steps toward me. "Oh, my god, you're just letting her walk around on her own after what she's been through?" he exclaims and I make a move to move away from him, but he manages to sneak his arm around my waist.
Axel looks absolutely infuriated, even more so when I give him a shocked look at this guy's actions.
"Get the fuck away from her." he almost growls and forcefully pulls him away from me, and puts his arm on the place where Theo's was in the same move.
What the hell is going on?
Oh wait, they don't like each other, right?
"What's going on?" I ask the guys and Axel cocks his eyebrow at Theo. "He's just leaving."
"No, I'm not. I came all the way here, I want to talk to her for a bit, check up on her." he crosses his arms on his chest.
"Nobody fucking invited you." Axel seems to only get angrier and angrier. "You're not saying a word to her, especially while she's in the state she is right now."
I frown at that. I'm not his property, he can't talk like that.
"Actually, if he came all the way here already, I guess we could have a chat." I say and Axel looks at me like I'd just betrayed him.
"No, we can't." he says, and then takes a deep breath, glancing over at Theo. "Could you give us a moment?"
Theo looks reluctant to do that and Axel basically growls at him. "Now."
He rolls his eyes and lifts up his arms in defeat. "Fine." then he looks around to see where to go, before moving to the kitchen.
"Look, Sophie, I know you don't remember everything too well, but trust me, you don't want to mess with him or even be in the same place as him. He's tried to break us apart many times before and he will try again when he gets the chance. I really don't fucking want you to hang around with him. And now, that you don't have too many feelings for me much less so. I..." he trails off, trying to figure out how to put his words. "I don't want to lose you, and I've already almost lost you to him before. Please just listen to me, okay baby?" he puts his hand on my cheek and I gulp, feeling slightly uncomfortable but also moved by his words.
He really must care about me.
But I'd feel so bad if I'd just kick out somebody that flied the ocean to see me.
"I understand you, Axel." I say, smiling up at him, "but can't we just chat with him for like half an hour? Just a normal talk. You'd be around all the time. Theo just flied across the ocean to see us, we can't just kick him out." I try to reason with him but I can see on his face that he's not pleased at all about the idea.
"Damn right I'd be with you all the time, and he came to see you, not me. I don't know how he even got the information that you woke up from the coma." he huffs and seems beyond annoyed with everything.
"Please, just so that I won't have a bad conscience." I ask him again and he grunts but I can clearly see on his face that he'd given up.
"Fine, but only half an hour."
I smile in victory, but immediately stop smiling when he gives me his angry look.
Damn, he can look dangerous as hell.
Absentmindedly, I place my palm back on my belly and leave it to Axel to lead me into the kitchen, where Theo is sitting on a sofa.
I smile at him, just to be kind, and he smiles back.
"Stop smiling, you look like a fucking idiot." Axel grunts and then sits us on the edge the sofa opposite Theo, as far as possible from him.
I'd complain, but I realize this must be hard for him so I don't push him. I just hope he won't be so grumpy for the entire day.
"You have half an hour." he declares, wrapping his arms around me in complete possesivness, and then relaxes into the sofa.
"So what, you're timing our conversation now?" Theo asks with raised eyebrown and Axel purses his lips.
"29 minutes."
I almost laugh at the scene; it would almost be funny if they weren't fighting because of me.
Theo huffs, rolling his eyes and looks at me. "How are you feeling? Is everything okay? Like with health and all? I just found out that you woke up yesterday and I needed to see that you were okay."
Aw, he's so sweet. "Thank you." I thank him, genuinely grateful. I can't believe how much more people care about me than they did before.
"I'm okay, health-wise, and the baby should be fine as well." his eyes glance at my hand, still laying on my stomach.
"Right, the baby. Do you know the sex already?" he smiles and I shake my head.
"No, it's still too early, but thankfully I don't get morning sickness, because that period passed by while I was in coma." I grin. I was so happy when I found out that I won't have to vomit in the mornings like all women have to.
Theo chuckles and nods his head. "I can imagine."
"And about everything else..." I trail off, wondering how to put my words. "Well, there's this weird thing."
Axel's hand slightly tightens around me. "Baby, what if you don't mention that thing?" he asks me, his eyes almost pleading.
Right; the thing about Theo wanting to take me away from him and all. Axel must be afraid he might try again if he knew I have no feelings for Axel.
"What it is?" Theo asks, frowning, and I'm conflicted.
Theo obviously cares about me and deserves to know, but...
I'm here with Axel. I live with Axel, and he is the one who was with me through the entire comatose state.
He is the one who loves me and I know that I loved him before, too.
So I should respect his opinion.
"It's nothing much, I'm just really bad at processing laxtose, and I got this weird diet plan from my doctor that I hate." I lie and Axel's hand relaxes.
It's clear on Theo's face, though, that he doesn't believe it.
"Well, why shouldn't I know that?" he asks.
"Because you're a piece of ass who can't keep his nose out of anything for shit. I just wanted to keep this to ourselves." Axel grunts, but I can feel his hand massaging my back, reassuring me.
Theo stands up, offended. "You, know what, if that's what you think, thatmn I better get my 'piece of ass who can't keep its nose out of anything' out of here." he frowns at us, and I stand up immediately.
"Theo, I'm sorry."
I need to remember that Axel can be a dick more.
"You can stay if yoi want." I say and I can hear Axel whisper "no he can't", but I ignore it.
"It's okay, it's not your fault. Don't worry. I'll just walk myself out of here." he says and begins to head to the door.
Once he's out, I frown at Axel. "You don't have to be so mean."
"What? I wasn't mean." he defends himself.
"Yes, you were. He didn't mean anything bad." I say and turn to walk to the bathroom. I need to use the toilet and brush my teeth.
"Well, that's where you're wrong." he trails behind me, and opens his mouth to say more, but I silence him with my look.
He looks away but I just know that he's rolling his eyes. Then he wraps his arms around me from behind.
"I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me."
I stop in my tracks. I definetly don't remember him acting like this, ever.
"What?" I ask him and he lets out a breath.
"Please don't make me repeat myself." he whines and I relax. This is more like him.
"Okay." I say. "But only if you won't be grumpy for the rest of the day because of the whole Theo thing, and will take me out to see London." I bargain and his face lights up.
"Like a date?"
"No, like tourists, sightseeing."
"So like a date."
I chuckle. "Fine, like a date."
He makes a victorious motion with his arm, making me laugh at his cuteness.
"Get ready for the best date of your life, sweetie." he whispers in my ear, pressing a kiss to my cheek and hurries off god knows where.
