Olivia's pov:
I looked up at Sam who looked very disturbed. He wasn't even looking at my face, instead he was looking at the stoned floor at the entrance.
I looked behind him to see Jessica too looking very sad. I wonder what happened to the both of them.
I didn't have much time to discuss with them so while still standing outside at the door, I went straight to the point.
"Sam you know-" I tried to continue but Sam gestured to stop talking by raising his hand in front of me.
I didn't know what was going on. I was confused but I didn't have a good feeling about this.
I looked at Sam closely, only to find him an upset look on his face. His face looked droopy as if he didn't sleep for nights!
"You have to go..." Sam said out of nowhere.
At first, I thought he was pranking me but the serious vibes he was giving me, didn't seem so.
I narrowed my eyes at him and then looked at Jessica who was standing in the shadows extremely quiet. Jack was nowhere at sight!
"Wh-Wh-What do you mean?" I stuttered as my own trauma combined with Sam's odd behavior made me quite disturbed.
"Why did you even come here when you weren't invited?" he questioned with a rude tone in his voice.
That question completely threw me off. I understand that he was mad at me for showing up uninvited, but I tried to call him before, and he wouldn't pick up. I'm usually a person who respects people's boundaries.
I face palmed myself and replied with guilt, "I'm so sorry for that, I had to get my laptop and I did try to call you before showing up but you didn't pick up the call!"
I expected him to understand and calm down. However, that didn't happen! Instead, he got even more mad at me.
"So? If I didn't pick up, who told you, you could come here?" he rebuked me.
I was shocked! Why was he behaving like this? Did I do something that bad to make him this upset?
I didn't want any drama to occur, so I decided to explain everything about my family to him.
"Well, you know-" I tried to speak up but again he didn't let me.
"Please go away and..... please don't contact Jessica or me from now on!" he ordered while shaking his head.
I gave him a confused look. Was this the same guy who said he was a fan of mine? Was this same guy who partied with me? Jessica too. Why were they both behaving so strange? I swear I had no clue what they were going on about. I was too upset to see them behaving like this!
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked while a few drops of tears were forming at the corner of my eyes. The fact that my family wasn't alive anymore combined with my best friends acting like this added to the pressure and stress on me.
After a few moments of silence, Jessica stepped forward along with my laptop at hand.
"Didn't you hear what Sam said? Here's your laptop and please leave and never contact us again!" She yelled at the top of her voice at me.
I took the laptop from her hands, but I didn't want to leave until I understood what was going on with the both of them.
"Thank you but please tell me what I did? There must be some misunderstanding or something! I don't even know why y'all are angry at me." I replied with frustration.
When someone wants to cut ties with you and doesn't provide a reasoning, that's the most frustrating thing in the world.
Tears started flowing on my face. I couldn't deal with so many problems at once. I felt alone and worried. My family left me and now my friends? What did I do wrong?
Before I could say anything more, they slammed the door at me! I couldn't control myself, I started crying again. The thought of losing these people for an unknown reason was killing me. Did Jack feel the same way about me? He wasn't even there. What did I do to Sam and Jessica that they treated me this badly?
Still crying, I forced myself to leave.
I walked towards my uber who was parked outside the house. The driver questioned my condition, but I didn't answer. I was too depressed at that point. I never felt like this before.
After a few minutes, I reached the hotel. While walking towards the elevator, I replayed the entire scene that Sam and Jessica had caused. I tried to control and suppress my sorrow as I didn't want anyone to see me like this.
I quickly went in the elevator and ran straight into my room. I broke down while thinking about everything that just happened.
I was so happy just a day ago but now it felt like a tsunami of misery hit me. I felt like it was all my fault but at the same time I didn't. I was fighting with myself.
"What did I do wrong?" "Where did I go wrong?" "Do I deserve this?"
All these questions kept playing in my mind and I just couldn't take it! I felt choked and was desperate for air!
After a few minutes I pulled myself together in some way. Still crying, I searched for my manager's contacts in my laptop as I had to leave asap!
I needed to get away from all this. I was too sensitive to deal with all this stuff at once. I guess since I came here alone, I'd have to leave alone. There was only one friend I have here and that is Nikita. Only she cared enough for me.
I called up my manager after retrieving his phone number and told him to get me a flight ticket back home.
I told him about my family and so he agreed to search for a ticket, but I had to wait for a few minutes for him to get back to me.
I quickly went into the bathroom and washed the tears out of my face and eyes. I could see the stains of my tears. I never cried this much in my life. It was so painful to deal with this.
As I walked out of the bathroom, while wiping my face with a white towel, I saw that I got a call back from manager.
"Yes Hello!" I said hastily.
"I'm so sorry Olivia but there are no flights available at all due to the summer holidays."
After hearing this, I was shattered! I couldn't even get to go home! I can't even attend my family's funeral now. I felt so defeated and dead inside.
I thanked him and dropped myself on the bed. With all this stress, I felt it was better to just force myself to sleep again.
Erica's pov:
I was sitting on my chair in my office playing a candy crush game when suddenly I heard a knock on my door.
I lifted my head which was previously drowned in the game. I loved candy crush; it was sort of therapeutic for me.
"Come in!" I yelled.
I touched my hair up a bit and looked at my reflection in my hand mirror. I looked so gorgeous today.
Just as I was admiring myself, I heard some footsteps in my office.
I looked up and saw a familiar person entering my office. He wore a grey t-shirt with a pair of long camo pants.
As he approached me closer, I knew it was none other than my husband, Michael!
