A steaming hot cup of coffee was placed on the table by Naomi who was in shock.
" You mean sexy cute David is getting married? And you're the wedding planner? Oh God" she squeaked with her jaw-dropping in astonishment
Kate lazily picked up the cup of coffee holding it to her lips studying her facial expressions
" Yup. I'm surprised Alvin didn't stop me. I wonder who the lucky lady is " she spoke sullenly which had Naomi grinning
" Don't tell me you are jealous? Alvin is the most handsome man I have ever seen with his seven-foot and that bulging muscles. He's worth dying for. No offense besides Dave introduced you to Alvin. He would have approached you had he been interested in you. Look at yourself. Your family, gosh Alvin is your God in disguise. He deserves your love, respect, loyalty, honor, and some infatuations. If you know what I mean" she wriggled her brows grinning earning a sigh from Kate
" Believe me that wasn't what I meant. I'm surprised he came to find me. You won't understand" she shrugged biting her lips
" You're such a dirty-minded person. I'm not sharing. " She rolled her eyes as Naomi pouts urging her to spill though she was surprised Alvin wasn't satisfying her. She wasn't the flirty type.
" Lunch break is over. I need to go. Duty calls" she feigned busy taking her cup of coffee with her as Naomi ran after her determined to hear the details.
Kate ignored her constant ranting and calling to pick her phone.
" Hello, mom? What's the matter? She asked smiling
" Kate, you've to come home. Something happened. " She heard the worried voice of her younger brother and stilled
" What happened? Is Mom okay? Are you okay? She asked pacing running a hand through her hair as she dashed out of the floor sprinting outside. Naomi followed her worriedly thinking she was in trouble.
Meanwhile, Alvin seemed to be in a bad mood after receiving a call.
Immediately Kate stepped out of the building, black cars stopped in front of her which attracted onlookers.
At first, she didn't think it involved her until Colt stepped out of the car blocking her path.
" No offense Mrs. Reagan, we're just following orders. You shouldn't blame us. " He voiced earning a glare from her.
Naomi stood meters away watching the whole time.
" What are you talking about? What orders? I don't have time to argue. Kindly leave my way. When did Alvin assign a bodyguard to me? He doesn't restrict my movement. Leave the way " she snapped holding the urge to cry. She sniffled trying to hide her red eyes
" It's his order. Call him if you doubt me" Colton reasoned as stepped back glared at him then dialed his number. He picked uttering one word.
" Cooperate" she wanted to cuss at him, yell at him but the line was already off.
" I'm not going anywhere" she decided knowing he doesn't allow anyone to touch her.
Colt grimed staring coldly at her
" He said by all means. We're going nowhere without you. I advise you take the easy way out or the hard way either way you're coming with us" he said calmly folding his sleeves putting a glove on
Kate felt ashamed for being the center of attention. her fellow workers couldn't help but peek from their windows.
" You're embarrassing me. I don't remember the last time I rode in one of these. So kindly go back to him. I'm going nowhere with you" she finished as Colton threw her over his shoulder shoving her in the black Maybach.
The rest cars followed suit earning a gasp from Naomi who had mixed feelings. She couldn't help but think Kate was living a fake life pretending to be happy. She wondered how she lived like that for two years? Does Alvin love her? If not, why did he marry her? Perhaps he's smitten by her innocence and beauty. She couldn't tell as she returned to work.
