Third Person’s POV

Grace could see the turn of the road and felt happy with the thought that she successfully rescued herself from the devil but her happiness didn’t last for a second when she saw the road was blocked with sleek black cars, which obviously seemed expensive. She obviously was not a wonder woman who could just jump over them just like that. The sight alone scared her to hell. She thought about explaining her situation to her mother so that her mother could suggest to her what she should do next?
But she panicked when she realized that her phone was not in her hand.

‘Don’t tell me that I dropped it somewhere when I was running.’, She thought and felt like crying. ‘I am going to die now.’, With this thought, a lone tear escaped from her eyes. That's when she heard the deep husky voice.

“Don’t be scared, sweetheart.”, Zayden said standing right behind her. She froze and this time, she couldn’t help and started weeping. She didn’t observe when Zayden came in front of her as she was not in the right state of mind to think anything. Zayden noticed that she was crying and couldn’t understand the reason behind it.

‘I didn’t even do anything.’, He thought. As he had no experience with women, he had no idea what he should do next to calm her down or what he should do to stop her from crying. But looking at her in this state like this really hurt him. It was like thousands of pins poking his heart. But his problem was still unsolved. His sister tried never to cry in front of me because she knew that Zayden already had a lot of problems in his life and she didn’t want to stress him over her problems. Seeing the woman, who took his heart at the first sight, cry, was the most punishment of his life.
Grace’s tears just wouldn’t stop. She didn’t want to look weak and fragile in front of him but she couldn’t change the fact that she was weak and fragile in front of a Mafia who could easily kill anyone. All she wanted was to run far away from him and all he wanted was her to be with him.

Zayden mink linked Eric about this situation and he suggested Zayden with the idea of hugging her as it always helps anyone to calm down and get better. So, without wasting another single second, Zayden hugged her. Grace didn’t understand what just happened? She just stood like a statue in shock and fear which numbed her limbs, just like earlier.
Zayden put one of his arms around her tiny waist and another over her head, soothing it.

“It’s okay, sweetheart. Why are you crying? Is something troubling you? Don’t worry, I am here. I will take all your problems away from you.”, He tried his best to stop Grace from crying. He thought he was comforting her but the things were completely opposite from Grace’s side. She felt herself trapped in the arms of the bloody mafia, who happened to be a psycho, hugging her for no reason.
She tried to push him away but it went in vain because Zayden’s grips on her waist were way too strong. She started crying really hard without a thought that Zayden wanted to do something bad to her. She wanted to kick his junior but was afraid of the outcome. When she didn’t say anything and just cried, Zayden finally decided to open his mouth to ask what the matter was.

“Sweetheart, why are you crying? Please let me know so that I can fix it.”, He asked, finally pulling himself away from her and cupping her face. “Please tell me.”, He whispered in a soft voice. He was surprised by his own behavior.

‘Yes! I want to get away from you and I want you to stop touching me with your hands, with whom you have killed innocent people.’, She thought but her words didn’t come out of her mouth.

When Grace didn’t say anything, he sighed. “I know you are not dumb, sweetheart.”, He said and narrowed her eyes because his blood started boiling now.

‘Why is he calling me ‘SWEETHEART’? Is it because I am sweet by my heart?’, She thought dumbly. She again didn’t say anything. Zayden dropped his hand from her face. He was very annoyed now but then he didn’t know what to do because he really didn’t want to snap at Grace. His patience was thin, his hand automatically went toward his waist where his gun was. The moment Grace’s eyes landed on it her heartbeat increased. Her body started going back to numb and her lips started trembling with fear.
Zayden quickly smelt her fear and followed her eyes. He smirked, realizing what he had to do next. He took out his gun to make Grace speak. Obviously, he could never think of killing Grace, but then he knew, he could make anyone do whatever he wanted by using his power.

‘I hate to do this, sweetheart but it seems like you don’t understand the language of love.’, He thought before threatening Grace. “Now, are you going to open your mouth or do you want me to use this?”, He asked in a deep, serious voice.

“I...I want to go home.”, She whispered in a low tone to which Zayden got angry and lost his patience. He just met her a moment before and she wanted to leave this soon.

“No”, He snapped. His tone made her flinch back and for the first time, he promised to control his anger around Grace, seeing tears and fear in her eyes was the last thing he wanted to see. “I...I am sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. Why do you want to go home? I mean, you already have your dinner at your workplace. After reaching home, all you will do is walk to your room and sleep after getting fresh.”, He tried his best to be as polite as he could. He was shocked with himself, as he had never apologized to anyone plus never changed his tone for anyone. But for an unknown reason, he knew that this woman had made him do these things, which he never thought he would do, or he thought he could do.

“I...I know but m..my mom is getting worrie..ed for me and is waiting for me.”, She answered.
.
“So?”, Zayden raised his eyes.
.
Grace looked at him as if he had grown horns on his head. She thought of explaining her sentence by giving an example. “Just imagine, if your daughter will be out of the house till this late then you will surely get worried for her, won't you?”, She asked him but he just kept looking at her. She quickly lowered her eyes, looking at her sandals. “I want to go home because I have my family there.”, She whispered in a low tone.

‘I think...I will have the same thought about rushing home after our marriage because I know that there will be you at home, waiting for me.’, He thought and finally decided to let Grace go. “Fine then, let me drop you home, sweetheart.”

Grace’s eyes widened in shock when he spoke. ‘Drop me home? No way! What if he will kill me along with mom.’

“Umm...It is not required. I can go by myself. Thank you.”, She said and started leaving without hearing him but Zayden yanked her by her elbow and held her in his arms. “Za..”, Grace was about to say his name when she recalled his words from the other day. ‘I don’t forgive anyone. Not even to those who address me with my name.’

“W.whatt ha..happened, Sir?”, She asked politely even though she wanted to hit him for touching her without her permission.

“Don’t call me, Sir”, He said.
.
“Okay, sir.”
.
“I told you, sweetheart. Don’t call me ‘SIR’. Call me Zayden.”, He said to which Grace nodded her head. “Now, say it.”, He ordered but Grace, being stubborn, didn't open her mouth. She hated being dominated. While Zayden’s patience was about to explode, he controlled himself. He didn’t want to scare her off. “This is the last time I am asking you, sweetheart, because next time my gun will be speaking. SAY. MY. NAME.”, He threatened, scaring Grace a little.

“Z...Zayden.”, She whispered. As soon as his name left her lips, Zayden wanted to claim her soft lips then and there but somehow he controlled himself as for NOW. It felt so right to him-she was speaking his name.
