No One’s POV

‘Eric, three werewolves are blocking our way. Handle them because I can’t do anything as Grace with me.’, Zayden ordered him through the mindlink.
‘Noted, Alpha.’
Those werewolves kept growling at Zayden’s car, challenging him to come outside and fight but for the first time, Zayden decided to escape rather than fighting with them. He felt someone’s hand on his arms and looked beside him to see the owner of those hands. She was shivering in fear.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart, I won’t let anything happen to you.”, He assured her but it didn’t look like she was convinced by him.
Zayden started his car again, looking straight into the eyes of those werewolves. It looked like he was about to drive the car in their direction but instead, he started driving it in an opposite direction. He saw those werewolves running toward them while he kept driving the car in the opposite direction with utmost full speed. He kept driving until he saw that he was trapped by another four werewolves. Now, Zayden knew that he had to fight.
“Wh.what are w.we go.going to do now?”, Grace whispered.
“Run!”, He replied before opening the car’s door. Because of fear, Grace was not even able to open her seatbelt. She felt trapped and she had a feeling that Zayden would leave her here, letting her become the meal of those hungry and big wolves.
But instead, he opened the door from Grace’s side and opened her seatbelt without complaining even about once of not being able to open the seat belt.
“It’s fine. Don’t worry.”, He kept whispering sweet words to her, calmly. Once, Grace was outside the car. “Run in that direction without looking back. I will be there in the next few minutes, okay?”
“Bu.But…”
Zayden cupped her face. “Trust me! Just don’t look back and RUN”, he whispered. Grace didn’t know why but nodded her head in acknowledgment.
She ran as fast as she could. Adrenaline rushed her body like a flood, forcing her legs to run faster and faster.
‘Run Grace Run! Or else this would be the last day of your life.’, She kept encouraging herself to run faster and faster. She heard the sound of the wolves growling aggressively but that didn’t make her speed slower. She kept running, deep and deep and deep into the forest. But immediately she stopped when she realized something.
How could she leave Zayden alone with those wolves?
She agreed that he was a criminal but he didn’t deserve to be the dinner of those hungry animals. Taking the U-turn, she again started running back in the direction from where she came. When she was on her way back to Zayden, she heard the loud howl ripped through the air, shaking all the trees around her with its power. This was the loudest and powerful howl which she had heard.
And there she saw a jet black wolf fighting with a few wolves alone. He was the biggest among all and was fighting with everyone with all his glory. His black coat was shining under the moonlight. He was looking pissed as hell. He was killing them as a killing machine. He didn’t waste any time as his teeth grabbed onto the neck of the second last wolf and with one hard pull, he ripped the head off the body.
Grace screamed in horror as blood splattered all around her, tainting the ground and trees. He let out another powerful howl as he jumped onto the last one, he grabbed onto the neck again. Grace watched as he aggressively ripped him apart, not stopping until the last wolf was in pieces.
She covered her eyes when she saw that the black wolf was checking whether all the wolves were dead or not and when he was finding them alive, he used to kill them mercilessly. She heard their helpless cries. All the scenes in front of her were too brutal for her to take in.
When all the noises had stopped, she forced her eyes open. The black wolf stood a few feet away from her. Grace was sure that she was going to be his next target and by seeing his killing speed, she was also sure that Zayden would have been dead by then.
Grace stayed still at her place, looking at that black wolf who was also watching her with those alert eyes with blood dripping from his mouth. He took a step toward her and Grace quickly took two small steps back and her back hit with the tree, a small wiper escaped from her lips.
He stopped after sensing her fear and from the look that he gave her, it felt like he didn’t like it one bit. That wolf stayed there for a moment just staring at her as if he was having a battle within himself.
‘What’s wrong with me these days? Earlier Zayden used to keep staring at me intently and now this wolf?’, She thought and right before her eyes, that wolf shifted into a man
Not just any man.
Zayden.
Bruised, covered in blood, and very much naked he stood in all his glory in front of her. Her body was shaking uncontrollably, She was finding it difficult to wrap in her mind what just happened in front of her very eyes.
A wolf just shifted into Zayden?
Was it possible that this was all just a nightmare?
Oh, God! This was the last thing she remembered before she blacked out.
