I read the first paragraph of the book called 'Love and Misadventure' by Lang Leav, its kinda funny to think that I'm reading a book now, when to be honest I hate reading, but this book is gotten to my soul, I proceed to read the another paragraph
"Though here is a word of warning." My head began to fore creased as I read "You may grow to love this person but remember they are not yours to keep, their purpose isn't to save you but to show to save yourself. And this one fulfilled; the halo lift and the Angel leaves their body as the person exits your life." I smiled bitterly
"This is so deep." I just only said to myself, I spent minutes to read this book until I didn't realized that I drifted asleep.
When I woke up, I look at my phone to check what time is it and it's just only 9pm, I didn't realized that I've been sleeping for 4 hours, I fixed myself before I went downstairs but in to my surprise.
I saw a person who I hate to see this time.
I feel my feet stock in the current location where I was standing, while my eyes still looking to my Dad.
What the hell he's doing here?!!
"Khryzel." He called me by my name as he stood up it seems like he really happy to see me and began to walk to hug me
"Don't." I sternly warn him, as I point my index finger to him
"What are you doing here?" I coldly asked my Dad he look down, maybe he regretting that he left us so now he's back. My Mom appeared and she was shocked when she see us
I'm mad at my Dad, very mad.
"Mom! Why are you letting this man to go in our house, he is not welcome here!!" I said to my Mom with a little bit shaky voice, my eyes starts to watery but all she can do is mouthed a 'sorry.'
I can't believe this! My Mom just forgive him that easily?!
"So you just forgive him that easily?!! Mom she just left us like we are nothing to him?!!" I said as I do reminding those times "And now what?! She's going to do that again?! No fucking way!!" I said raising my voice to my Mom, its not my intention but I'm hurt, and I can't forgive my Dad. Not now, and not today.
"Khryzel he is still your Dad!" My Mom said, I know and it's not going to change, but I shake my head stubbornly.
"I don't have any since he left, that day." I said as I start to jogged upstairs, my Mom called my name but I didn't bother to look back, I went directly to my room and like I always do I locked myself and just dragged myself crying in my bed.
As my eyes got tired from crying, I start to pack my things up. If he's going to be here, I don't want to stay any longer.
I tried to call Valerie and gladly she answered. I really need to talk to someone right now.
"Val." I mumbled through the phone, my eyes starts to form a water again
"Hey are you crying? What happened?" She asked worriedly, and I just broke down and blurted it out.
This is the night that I even tell someone about my family, how I really hate my Dad for leaving us with another lady and now he's back like he didn't do anything stupid.
"I'm sorry to hear what happened, but you know family is family therefore as a family your parents can really encountered that problems about third party's, financial problems or whatever problem it may be. But you just said that your Mom is giving him another chance to change maybe your Mom really loves your Dad and maybe your Mom really wanted a complete family for the second time, that's why it happened. Khryzel, just look for the other side. look, we did some stupid mistake in our past and we regretted it and I know your Dad probably regretted it too, we're just people that we committed some mistakes but ready to changed for someone we really care about." She said
"I'm not saying that forgive your Dad because of this and that, but if you just look in the positive way. It gets better, have you heard the time will heal but the scars will remain? That's it, maybe your mad at him right now but just look, wait and see, you know observe him if he is deserving to get your second chance." She added
"I hate how good are you for comforting people." I joked and she just chuckle
"I know that's why, my Major is psychology. So uhmm are you feeling alright now?" She asked and I nodded as If she can see me
"Yeah, but I don't want to see him right now, maybe you're right. I will forgive him but not now." I said
"I understand. But where are you going now if you're not staying there?"
"I'm going back at Casey's house, tomorrow."
"No!-I mean, I, Casey and Greyson are not there." She exclaimed
"So? It's okay I'm really fine. I'll be okay. Thank you Val, thank you so much." I said and she offers something's but I declined it until she gave up and we decided to exchanged goodbyes and hung up the phone.
I feel alright now. My mind is enlightened. But I just need some time.
She leave a text so I opened it.
'Forgive because God requires it, not because they are sorry.'
And she texted once more
'Greyzel Shipper is so so R E A L!!!' My eyes widen and replied to her quickly that she's crazy.
