"You can go," Asher dismissed the maid who hovered around after serving them.
Caspian wanted to beg her not to leave, sitting with his legs tightly pressed together and trying not to let his panic show on his face.
Asher glibly pretended not to notice his discomfort, eating without a care in the world.
Caspian had no choice but to eat as well, not eating wasn't going to put off the inevitable and he needed his wits around him.
Asher on the other hand was racking his brains trying to come up with a conversation topic, he rarely had small talk with the women in his life, anything more was out of the question.
