Imaani
Imaani's weekends usually consisted of her indoors till Monday binge watching Teen wolf or any other interesting action movie she could come across at home. And this weekend would be no different except for the fact that she landed the promotion she had always wanted.
She laid in bed with a smile across her face "i should call my dad" Although Imaani and her mum were not on talking terms her and Paul,her stepdad were like best friends he was there for her during college when her mum and her dead beat alcoholic dad decided to neglect her at just the age of where she needed them most.
When Imaani was a kid she adored her parents love, always wishing for one like it unknown to her it was all fake all a big lie. Her mum did well to cover up the bruises with make up when Imaani was younger. She finally got the courage to leave her husband and ended up with another dead beat Grayson, worse than her father - Ricky.
That man stopped being her father since he told her he never wanted her in his life, she was just 18 and walked in on him beating her mother. He beat her to a pulp and left the house not showing up till 2 weeks later, only to see Mariah with cops at the door step and a divorce paper. "Yall might be thinking wow Mariah finally called the cops on his dead beat ass No she didnt! The neighbour's did".
"Ughh Enough of this memory lane shit" Imaani groaned making her way to the living room and also making a mental note to call her dad. Yes, Paul was more of a father to her than her Ricky her real father ever will be.
She made herself some break fast and made her way to the living room to watch the new season of Bridgerton....unfortunately the Duke of Hastings will not be gracing her screen with his presence, so sad.

Picking up her phone and seeing the Hey text from an unknown number, remembering she gave Sarah her number yesterday she concluded it was, her completely forgetting about the other possibility of who could text her.
Imani: Hey sarah?
Jax: Sarah? Nice name but not my style
Oh my God Jax!!! Imani gasped going through a mini shock
Imani: I'm so sorry i thought you were my co worker.
Jax: it's aight I've been called worse
Wtff am i supposed to say after this

Imaani: what gave me off?
Imaani and Jax kept texting back and forth he asked about ₩ob and alot of things, and even surprised Imaani by asking if they could switch to phone calls instead and she said Yes.
Someone might think he may slightly be interested in her but she knew that was impossible....He had a girlfriend.
Several Hours later Imaani could not tell how long they had been on call for, she couldnt remember when last she talked to someone till this late.. she missed it, and silently wished Jax wouldn't have anything to do anytime soon so they could keep talking.
She didn't know what else to ask him she had already asked about his job and he just replied vaguely saying various jobs not giving any room for further questions about his job or anything else. Glancing at the time Imani new she had to go to bed her eyes were already droopy.
"Hey i should really go to bed, I'm sleepy" she said with a yawn into the phone
"Sure take care, twas nice speaking to you"
He replied lowly. He really didn't speak much
"Lord he sounds so heavenly" Imaani closed her eyes and thought to herself
"You too, Jax. Have a lovely night" she replied back
"Imaani? He paused "we should do this again" Even Jax was shocked by his own words but he couldn't take it back, the words were already out of him
Imaani could almost scream right now!
"Yeah sure, Bye Jax" she spoke breathily
"Bye Imaani" beep " fuckkkkk The way he says my name oh my Gosh!!!"
She dropped her phone on the night stand and laid back on her bed with a huge smile resting across her face as she welcomed sleep.
Her night was full with extreme vivid dreams of a particular deep voiced man with blue eyes.
