"I MEAN WHO DOES HE think he is expecting me to take him up on such an offer? He's my boss for fucks sake, you know." I continued rambling and shot a glance at the guy I was talking to.
The guy had only come here to see if he could buy Imaani a drink and maybe get laid, he didn't sign up to be her diary. For her to rant about her hot sexy infuriating boss as she so subtly put it.
"I uh I'm gonna go," the strange guy said seems I've bored him to the core. But what did he expect? Jax pissed me off and I came here with unsettled anger. Luckily for me, the bartender kept the drinks coming as I told him to.
"Whatever" I waved him off and looked around for Sarah, that bathroom break is taking too long. I made my way towards the restroom in search of her.
"Sarah are you shi- oh my god! I'm so sorry i- I didn't know- shit his dick is-" I snickered
"Shit! Imaani what are you doing here? Are you drunk? Sarah rushed up from the counter rushing to fix up her clothes and attend to her friend
"What the fuck! can't she just leave? We're in the middle of something! The guy Sarah was fucking muttered out pissed that Imaani had interrupted his 30 seconds of glory
"Fuck of Timothy!" Sarah said and pushed the man out of the restroom to pay attention to her friend
"It's Trent a-"
Sarah cut him off "Yeah whatever no one cares, by Terrence" she slammed the door shut in his face
"He sounds like a jerk," I said while giggling god I'm drunk
"He is" Sarah stated dryly trying to remember why she was fucking him again
"Then why'd you fuck him?" Imaani asked confused at the whole situation
"I was bored and the tequila was getting to me" She stated and looked at her friend that was caught up in a giggling fit, did she say something funny?
"You're drunk Imaani, okay let's go, hun," Sarah said assisting her friend out of the ladies' room
"Oh no look at you" Imaani started bringing them to a halt in front of the door
"What's wrong with me?"
"You look and smell like sex fix yourself up and meet me by the bar"
"No, I'm not leaving you alone. This place is full of different kinds of men you dunno which one is good or bad so it's better we stick together" Sarah stated eyeing all the people of the opposite gender wearily
"Sarah I'll be okay I'm going straight to the bar and I'm not that drunk okay I can take care of myself"
Sarah reluctantly agreed with her. Imaani was right she did look and smell like sex "Okay just give me 2 minutes okay, straight to the bar okay?" She asked as if talking to a toddler
"Yes sir- ma'am," Imaani said saluting her friend and laughing out loud
"Scratch that, give me one minute," Sarah said dashing into the restroom after making sure that Imaani was on the right path to the bar.
Imaani sat at the bar. She had just finished two more shots, then she unknowingly started digging her hands into her bag she fished around for the card he had given her earlier not completely aware only acting on her drunk thoughts.
"What should I say?" Imaani thought to herself after clumsily typing his number in and succeeding lucky enough. "Hey? No. too formal. Okay okay I'll just be casual"
"Heyyyyyy boss" the text message Imaani had sent, read.
She dropped her phone on the bar table and clapped her hands while giggling like a kid on a sugar high, feeling so proud of herself.
"Hey, gorgeous what's got you so bubbly?" The bartender asked her
Bubbly? Dumbass
Even in her drunken state Imaani's smart-mouthed, subconscious never seemed to leave her completely
Ignoring his question "Can I have two vodka tonics please an- wait hold that thought" she picked up her ringing phone and placed it to her ear after answering
"Helloooo Imaani Cyrus here, how may I help you please?"
"Ms Cyrus, are you drunk?" The deep voice she had become accustomed to asked from the other side of the phone.
Ms Cyrus huh? Jackass
"That's none of," hiccup "your business Mr Smith" she picked up one of her tonics that the bartender had placed in front of her. She drank it and let out a loud sigh as the harsh drink made its way through her throat. She got up from her chair and started moving her waist to the music enjoying and feeling the rhythm in her body.
"Are you still drinking? He exclaimed
"No. Yes. What's it to you? Hiii Sarah" she called out to her friend who was holding out a bottle of water to her
"Are you on the phone?" Sarah asked moving her head and feet to the song
"Yeah our hot boss" she replied with a chuckle
"Sweetheart, give the phone to Ms Levington, please" he stated calmly hoping both of them were not extremely drunk and alone without a chaperone or something in a club.
Imaani handed the phone to Sarah and continued dancing and moving around. Sarah made sure she was fully conscious so she didn't stray too far. After she ended the call she went to grab a hold of Imaani who was, unfortunately puking her guts out on an innocent bystander.
"Shit! Okay, that's it we're leaving" Sarah held her friend up and led her outside after muttering an apology to the guy and walking out of the club with her.
"No! I still want to dance I was having so much fun" Imaani muttered half-heartedly
"Fun's over hun we're heading home now the car should be here any minute"
"How are you not dr- hiccup drunk?" Imaani asked Sarah. Even at this point, Imaani could notice that Sarah wasn't a staggering mess like her. Although she'll barely remember half her encounters from tonight.
"I have a lot more control over my alcohol than you. I'm just tipsy" Sarah replied laughing and silently hoping the car arrived on time she could notice her friend's eyes begin to droop.
"Finally. Okay, rides here let's go" Sarah said and led her into the car. Imaani could tell they were stepping into a car. Sarah must have ordered an Uber for them
Imaani closed her eyes and welcomed the sudden sleep that enveloped her in the car not ignoring the fact that the uber was so spacious and smelled extremely nice too.
"Sorry for ruining your night Sarah" she pouted and lets her head fall against the seat
Before sleep completely took her away she heard her friend reply "No you didn't, I had fun too"
