67 Maryam's POV Finally today is my best friend's wedding,best friend more like a sister. Everyone has been moving up and down in the house. Actually we're in my mother in-laws house preparing for the Nikkah "Hi baby" I felt someone kissed my side neck from the back Who dares do that if not my husband. I smiled and turn to him "hello there bad boy" "Calling me that name only, I wish to ravish you here" "What?! Kareem are you crazy?! Today is Kareemah's wedding and especially your best friend...what are you doing here in the first place?" "To see you...I missed you a lot" "But we saw each other this morning" I reminded "Well you didn't specify...I saw you 4:10am and it was only a glimpse" "Kareem!" "Can I get a kiss?" "Ka-" "I promise, I'll go once I have it" "But anyone might come in here,this is the kitchen" "I don't mind,after all you're my wife" "But I... I...we can't-" By the look he was giving me I couldn't finish the sentence coz I know it won't turn out good so instead I decide to give my husband what he was hungrily asking of "Well don't you think you have to give me what I asked for instead of staring at me?" He asked raising one of his eye brow He moved me closer to him and was about to kiss me when all of a sudden we heard someone coughing I swear if it's Mufeedah I'm going to kill her today. I turned glaring but got increase when I saw who interrupted us Safeenah? But not only her,there was this handsome guy behind her smiling. Though he might be handsome but not as my husband Kareem roll his eyes before wrapping his hand tightly around my waist What is wrong with Kareem these days? I noticed that he don't smile around her,he don't spend time with her and most of all he doesn't give her his attention... Could there be something wrong? "Safeenah you're here" he fake a smile "Good morning to you two...." "Good morning " I whispered softly "Actually this is my cousin brother Haruna,he came from abuja to visited me and since today is Kareemah's wedding I decide to bring him here so he could help with some little things" "OK... That will be great,welcome home Haruna" I smiled at him and he did the same thing I don't have problem with him and the guy seems friendly "Harun" Kareem called trying to see how it sound "It's not Harun,it's Haruna" I elbowed him "Whatever " he muttered which I'm the only one who could hear that Few minute later Kareem and Harun went out and was left alone with Safeenah "I see,you've finally win my Man's heart" she started but I decide to keep mute. I don't have anything to say to her "Well you can keep mute for all you like but what will make you talk is on its way coming my dear" she laugh wickedly and left What does she mean by what will make talk? What will make me talk? What's that? "Stop disturbing your self Maryam over nothing, there's nothing she can do to you" my subconscious assured me I was about to turn to leave to Kareemah's room coz Mufeedah was also there but all of a sudden my eyes felt heavy and everywhere was becoming black slowly What is really happening to me? I slowly move towards the fridge and took out a bottle water. I gulp in and felt relax again I think it high time I tell Kareem to take me to the hospital, this dizziness is getting out of hand I walk upstairs and saw my sisters getting ready "Great Mrs Kareem is here! Where have you been?" Kareemah asked with her right hand placed on her waist I burst into laughter coz she looks like a mother scolding her daughter "I'm sorry Mom, your son was the reason, he kept insisting I kiss him and the queen of dragons showed up-" "What? Safeenah?! " they both asked "Yes and please you two don't have to shout coz I'm having headache already" "Sit" Kareemah said guiding me to take a sit beside her "Are you not OK up till now? You still feel the dizziness?" She asked with concern "Yes" "I think I know the reason" Mufeedah said "Mama twins what's the reason?" "I told you to stop calling me Mama twins...yes I know I'm pregnant but I don't want to give birth to twins,they are always trouble " "Yes, just like you two" Kareemah said "Hey! Stop that" we both said to Kareemah in a dangerous tone "You see what-" "Fine...sorry" she finally admit when she saw the look we were both giving her "Enough with the talk, let get ready...and you!  Come get your cloth,you aren't dressed yet" "Yes Mom I'll" Later on, Mom and Dad came in,Mufeedah and I both excused them to have parents and daughter's talk,while we went on preparing for the food and the rest ****** "Finally Kareemah is now Mrs Khalid! I can't believe it" "You have to believe it my dear" "Yes.... yes" "In few minute, the husband's family will come and take my friend away" "She's not going there to die you know... She will only be there just like you are at your husband house" Mufeedah replied me rolling her eyes "Yes I know" I pout "I need to talk to Mom about something, I'll be back soon OK?" "OK Sis" Two minute after Mufeedah left,I started feeling dizzy again,I tried to control my self but all to avail. I almost lost my balance when someone caught me firmly with his strong hand "Are you OK? " he asked with so much concern in his voice I turned and was surprise to see that it was Haruna "Haruna?" "Sit lemme get you a water" He guided me to where I will sit as he quickly went to the fridge. Few minute later he came back with a glass of water "Here" he offered "Thank you" I replied smiling before collecting it from him **** "Are you OK now?" He asked Why am I feeling sleepy all of a sudden? "Yes but I think, I really need to sleep right now.... Could you help me?" "Sure why not " That was the last thing I heard before darkness took over me ****** A Hours Later****** Kareem's POV I haven't seen my wife this evening. Where could she be? I've looked for her everywhere but she's not any where to be found "Mufeedah Wait!" I stopped her when I spot her going downstairs "Have you seen Maryam?" "Maryam? No...isn't she with you?" "No" "Then where could she be? I've been looking for her for the past hour now" "Same here too" "You know what? you look for her at the other side then I'll look for her around the kitchen" "OK" Maryam for goodness sake where are you? Where the heck did you go to? Still thinking about where she could be,I didn't know my Dad was in front of me,mistakenly I bump into him "Sorry Dad" "Son what happened? Why are you this disturbed?" "Dad its Maryam,I can't find her" "What do you mean by you can't find her? Is she not with her friends?" "No Dad, in fact I just finish talking with Mufeedah and she has also been looking for her for an hour ago" "What? Where could she be?" "I really don't know Dad,I hope nothing bad happened to her Dad,she haven't been her self for the past week" "Is she sick?" "Not really but she get tired easily this days and sometimes she almost faint" "What? And you let her be?! What if there is something wrong with her?" "That's why I'm scared Dad,I hope she haven't pass out at a place where we weren't aware of" "Don't worry son,I'll tell your Mom now and we'll look for her,she will be fine" "OK Dad " I nod and left in search of my wife Please Maryam be OK wherever you're please ***** It been more than two hours, and I can't find my wife. Some few guest and my whole family are here with me in the sitting room. I was about to call my friend who is an ASP when Safeenah suddenly walk in panting "I...I found out where she is" she said "What?" "Yes Kareem I saw her,please you all should follow me" she said and we all obliged as we followed her upstairs But what would Maryam be doing up here for good two hours? We all entered the room and all of a sudden, all the fear I was having few hours ago was gone and was replaced with anger Innalilahi wa'ina illaihi raji'un Innalilahi wa'ina illaihi raji'un Aa'udhubilah Innalilahi wa'ina illaihi raji'un That's what everyone has been saying There's my wife and Haruna that called him self Safeenah's brother on the bed cuddling each other. I felt my anger boiling from inside "HARUN!!!!" I shout out his name which makes both he and Maryam to wake up Immediately she opened her eyes and turn her head to the right, she immediately scream  "Arghhh" "Wha......what are you doing here?" She asked him looking so surprised "What do you mean by what am I doing here,we did it now,remember? " he asked back Aa'udhubilah And she called her self a daughter in-law of this family This is so absurd Disgusting I couldn't hold the anger anymore. I moved closer and start punching the guy on his face,his stomach,his body,any where my hand reach I will make sure I punch him so hard there "Kareem please stop" she beg me but I turn my self to a deaf, coz I'm not ready to spare this boy "Kareem please you'll kill him" she said, nevertheless did I stop hitting him Faruq came to me and drag me away from the guy "Leave me, let me kill this idiot!" "Why are you hitting me? After all this is not only my fault! It your wife's too!" The guy yelled angrily What?! "No! No! I swear I didn't know anything! Walahi I didn't" she shook her head crying Maryam quickly stood up and walk to us,she stood in front of her Mom "Mom please believe me I didn't do this,I didn't do anything!" But Mom only look at her with pure disappointment She went closer to her Dad and talk to him,so was my parents too and her sister but they didn't talk to her "Please you should all talk to me,I swear I'm innocent...please believe me" she beg crying "Kareem... Kareem at least you'll believe me right? You know I won't stoop so low to do this kind of a thing right? Kareem" she said crying "Kareem please, I swear I didn't know anything, walahi I didn't do anything, I didn't even know him,please Kareem" still I never said anything. The anger in me is growing up slowly again "Kareem I need you the most this moment,I swear I didn't know...I was felling dizzy then-" "I believe you Maryam" I said looking straight into her eyes She smiled and ask "really?" "Yes Maryam I do" I replied as I wipe away her tears with my two palms "Kareem are you crazy?! She cheated on you,you saw it with your two eyes and now you said you believe her?" Safeenah asked with so much anger in her voice I didn't reply her I just went out of the room and drag Maryam along with me. I dial Yusuf number and he picked up at the first ring Hello my man "I'm sorry Yusuf but I'm not in the mood to joke now,please I need your help. I want you to arrest someone for me,I mean right now" "Sure Man....I'll be there in ten minute" "Bye" "Ka-" "Keep quiet " I cut her off ****** "Good Yusuf,please arrest this two for me" "What?" Safeenah asked in surprise. Including everyone in the house, they are all surprised "OK" Yusuf instruct his men to do their job as they were trying to take Safeenah and Haruna out of the house "Kareem you can't do this to me! I know you love me! Please let me go!" She yell but I only signal Yusuf men to do their job. They nod and took them away
