Samantha's POV
"Where is it?" I said as I tried to search for the room where VOELEVARD is staying.
I just came home when I received a message from Jason asking me to bring Jake's phone.
They were still inside the building where they filmed for a music show.
I squirmed my way out of the busy people and turned left to a corner where I saw the sign that Jason had given earlier.
Gosh. This place is so busy I can barely remember where I turned to earlier.
While walking, I saw a girl standing at the end of the hallway shyly talking to some guy who's back is facing my direction.
After taking a few more steps, my heart suddenly started beating faster. I'm not even sure if I'm being weird but why does that guy's back seem very much familiar?
No Samantha, why would you know him?
Not that I intended to eavesdrop but I really need to pass this hallway to search for my brother.
She shrugged her shoulders.
These idols must be dating judging from the smile on the girl's lips.
There's nothing wrong with that anyways because they are also a human. I'm pretty sure a lot of idols are playing behind the camera but that's their life. They deserve to be happy as well.
I continued walking and just a few meters away from the two, I decided to bow my head down to give them privacy. I don't want to interrupt the little time that they may have.
I'm just two meters away when I heard the girl, "Oppa, make sure to call me, okay?"
I cringed at how her voice sounded. She was trying to sound cute but hey, not everyone is born with it. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to be that adorable and cute little person that we wish too, we can’t. It was so awkward I wonder how the guy thought about it.
Just a few steps away from them and instead of answering, I heard the boy chuckled.
My heart stopped beating for a moment there.
That was so familiar.
The sound of his laugh was too familiar that my eyes automatically scanned the face of the guy when I was about to pass them.
My eyes widen in shock when I saw Josh, smiling dearly to the girl in front of her.
I feel like I just heard my heart got broken into pieces because I'm pretty it dropped on the floor.
His laugh, he sounded so happy.
Why did I not recognize him sooner? From the color of his hair to that tall built? How stupid am I?
I was still walking while looking at him that I accidentally bumped the person in front of me.
"Awww!!"
"Ouch! " we both screamed in pain when the coffee that the person I bumped with spilled down to both of us.
After realizing what happened, I immediately grabbed the handkerchief on my back pocket and gave it to the person in front of me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't see you, sorry!" I frantically told him unsure of what to do. I bowed multiple times in panic.
"Heyyyy! Are you stupid?!" I flinched.
"Who are you?! Why are you here anyway?" He pushed my right shoulder with his hand and I stumbled a little trying to balance myself so I won't fall down.
My head fell down in embarrassment.
"Samantha?" My head snapped to Josh's direction. I almost forgot that he's there.
My eyes landed on the girl beside him and guilt rushed down on me for cringing at her voice earlier when I saw how worried she seemed for me.
"Excuse me" Josh grabbed my right hand and guided me to move backwards. It's when I realized Josh had stepped in and faced the man, which I'm sure a music director just by looking at him.
"I'm sorry, sir." He said as he bowed in 90 degrees.
"Oh, Kim Josh" the music director was a little shocked but it's obvious that he's still a little angry. "Do you know her?"
"Ah, ne." he said. I looked around to see a few people had been watching over us. The director’s voice must have caught their attention so they started to gather around.
My eyes landed on the floor. I'm never a person who's used to getting an attention so it's kind of embarrassing to be caught up on this.
My eyes are now glued on the ground. I felt them starts to blurry as I tried to stop the tears from coming out of my socket.
The truth is, I'm not upset because the director pushed me or shouted at me. I'm more shocked to witness my boyfriend being friendly with another girl.
Not that he's doing anything wrong, but...
I know that I shouldn't get jealous but I can't control it. My body started to shake a little. I have never felt this before. The feeling of something crazy is going wild inside my stomach kills me. I hated it. I hated the fact that I was feeling this.
Then, I felt a pair of hands on my shoulders.
I looked up, teary-eyed and saw my brother.
Josh immediately take off the cardigan that he's wearing and covered my coffee-stained shirt.
I yanked my hand away from Josh and immediately hugged my brother.
I don't even care if my clothes are covered with coffee and my brother's clothes will get stained.
"Hey, it's fine." He said as he stroked his hand on my hair.
I felt him bow a little.
"I'm sorry, sir. She's with us. She's not really feeling very well today and we apologize for what happened." he politely said.
"I see."
I let go of my brother then turned to the Pd.
"I'm sorry. Ahm, let me grab you another coffee, sir." I said as I bow my head in embarrassment.
" No, no. It's okay. Sorry for pushing you earlier." he said as he recovered from what happened. "Next time, be more careful okay?"
"Yes sir. I am sorry." I answered. Still bowing my head.
"Alright. I have to go. And congrats on your comeback by the way" I heard he told my brother and probably Josh.
"Thank you so much sir," they both replied.
Once the director was away, Josh grabbed my hand and carefully pulled me towards him.
"Samantha-hey! Are you okay?" he softly asked.
"Josh..." I heard the girl whispered.
My eyes followed the girl as I saw her looked at him so confused. I don't even know what's wrong but I feel like there are dozens of cold butterflies inside me. Yes, not those butterflies that I normally feel every time I see him.
Normally, I would snuggle closer to him but this time, I removed his hand from mine and stepped back.
These feelings that I have right now is making me feel confused.
I slightly looked up to his eyes and I'm sure I saw a glint of shock and sadness on it I almost wish I did not let go of his hand.
Jake must have realized something was wrong so he stepped forward when Josh tried to hold my hand again.
"Hyung, let me take care of her." he told him.
Murmurs of the people started to fill the silence and those who just witnessed everything started typing on their phones while some tried taking some photos so I had to bow my head more.
"No." Josh disagreed. "I need to talk to her."
My hand automatically reached the end of my brother’s shirt as I pull him closer to me indicating that I want to go.
My brother must have understood what I meant so he faced back to him.
"Trust me, hyung. It'll be easier if people sees her with me." I heard my brother said before I felt an arm surround my body and dragged me along with him.
I'm too confused to even argue.
Before we reached the end of the hallway. I looked back to see Josh still standing there, confusion and sadness visible on his face.
I snuggled closer to my brother's chest as I feel warm tears flow down my face.
