This happened on the same day Azrael first arrived in Genesis...
Far away from the Aetherion Expanse, on a planet named Eland.
In a room on the second floor of a two-story building, a young girl was sleeping peacefully on a rather old-looking bed.
She had long black hair, and her eyes were shut tightly, seemingly deep in slumber.
At this moment, the peaceful expression on the girl’s face crumbled, and her complexion turned extremely pale.
A dim light flashed around her neck, and a very small needle—tied with a thin wire—appeared, hanging like a pendant.
If one looked closely, they would notice that the needle seemed to be part of a pocket watch.
Along with the needle, a tattoo of a red spider lily flower also appeared on the back of her left shoulder.
The moment the tattoo and the needle manifested, the girl opened her eyes with a pained expression and quickly sat up.
"Don’t—!" She shouted immediately upon rising, but as her eyes registered the surrounding scenery, her voice faltered, and she stared at the small room in a daze.
The girl stood around 165 cm tall and had a beautiful, though slightly immature face. She looked about fifteen years old, with long black hair and black eyes.
After taking in the scene before her, she remained frozen in place for a full five minutes before finally speaking.
"How?" She muttered, her voice filled with disbelief. "Why am I here?"
She ran around the room, examining everything, making sure she wasn’t hallucinating.
After confirming that everything was real, she couldn’t help but take in a sharp breath of cold air.
"I returned to the past..." She whispered in shock, recalling what had just happened.
She still remembered fighting against those terrifying beings alongside that annoying woman and her darling.
They had slain many of them, but their numbers were endless.
In the end, the three of them were overwhelmed and couldn’t hold on.
Just as they were about to be killed, she remembered a strange, illusionary image of a pocket watch bursting out from her darling’s source core.
The moment the pocket watch appeared, it radiated an overwhelming aura that seemed to control all of time and space.
Before she could understand what was happening, her world had gone dark—and when she opened her eyes, she found herself in her fifteen-year-old body once again.
"This... Could it be that the pocket watch that suddenly emerged from Darling’s body sent me back into the past?" The girl muttered, her heartbeat quickening.
"Does that mean... Darling was also sent into the past? And maybe that annoying woman as well?"
As the girl pondered, she suddenly felt something hanging around her neck.
She looked down—and when her gaze landed on the needle that seemed to be part of a pocket watch, her eyes lit up.
"This is definitely a part of that pocket watch. I am certain it’s the reason I came back."
Just as she was starting to get excited, she sensed something—and her expression instantly changed.
The entire planet shook, and an overwhelming presence—belonging to some terrifying being—descended upon it.
Still stunned by the sudden wave of pressure that seemed to cover the entire planet, the needle hanging around her neck lit up with a silver-white glow.
The silver-white light from the needle enveloped her entirely, and her body turned hazy, as if she no longer existed in that room.
The presence that had descended upon the planet scanned its entire surface but failed to locate whatever it was searching for.
The girl, still wearing a serious expression looked at her now hazy body with a thoughtful gaze.
She turned around to look at her room, which continued to tremble under the weight of the overwhelming presence and her eyes narrowed.
’What kind of being is searching the entire planet ? I don’t know why, but I have a feeling it’s even more terrifying than the bastards we fought before I regressed.’
The presence continued scanning the planet for several minutes before finally disappearing.
The silver-white glow from the needle faded at the same time, and faint cracks appeared on its light golden surface.
The girl’s expression turned gloomy upon seeing this, realizing that the needle had just protected her from the being searching the planet.
’Since this being was looking for me, it’s possible that it will search for Darling and that woman as well... assuming they also regressed like me.’
She took a deep breath and looked outside the window, worry creeping into her eyes.
’I hope they’re okay.’
The young girl stood in place for a few minutes, combing through her memories, trying to find any clue about the being that had just searched the planet—but she found nothing.
