Priscilla Cason
I walked into the ballroom and looked around to find Brandon. He's already here first straight from the airport because he had work in Miami. I told him that I have some project that I need to finish so I will come late.
I walked in more and found Brandon but he's currently talking to 5 people so I decided not to disturb him. I took a glass of champagne and looked around. There's a lot of people here.. and everyone was talking with others.
"So you're Brandon's girlfriend?" I turned to see a woman in her 30s. She was drinking her champagne too and she looked at me with these arrogant eyes.
"Yes and who are you?" I asked in a nice tone and put my hand in front of her to shake my hand.
"I'm Maria from the Prance Diamond and Jewelry." She said and ignored my nice gesture. I put down my hand and decided to walk away.. but suddenly she held my arm.
"Aren't you ashamed? You're dating Brandon Lemiere, the man that every girl wants. Did you catch a spell on him or something? You were a slut, a whore, a hoe and the list goes on.. aren't you ashamed standing next to him?" She said in a really cold tone and those words stabbed me. I was going to cry but I don't want to cry in public..
She was right about it and I do still have the insecurity about my past.
"Ms. Robert, aren't you ashamed of selling your body to the politicians so you can get easy access to rich people? You should see yourself first before judging people." My eyes widen when I see Nicholas Lemiere standing beside me.
"You should let Ms. Cason go or you will feel my wrath.." He added and Maria let me go.
"Mr. Lemiere, aren't you ashamed about this? You hav-"
"Just go.. Ms. Robert." Nicholas said coldly and Maria left me. I sighed big time when suddenly Nicholas gestured to me to follow him outside.
"Mr. Lemiere.. thankyou for defending me back there. I understand if you don't want me to date your son-"
"Everyone has ups and downs, Priscilla. Just because you have a bad past it doesn't mean you're a bad person. You're a really great girlfriend for my son, I know that this is my first time talking to you and I admit that I looked up your background and have been watching you. I'm sorry for that but.. I'm just a dad and I want the best for my kids." He turned his body to me and smiled, "I know how it's like to be one the bottom.. building these empires wasn't easy and I did a lot of bad things in the past too so.. We can't judge people because of their past. You stopped now and I know you did that because you don't want to lose your mom. You only have her at that time and I will do the same thing if I'm in your position."
"Thank you, Mr. Lemiere." I smiled.
"Be confident, Priscilla. Don't let people let you down.." He said and I looked up to him.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Lemiere. Thankyou for letting me date your son."
"We're grateful to know that you're Brandon's girlfriend." I turned my head and saw Brandon's mom a.k.a Chloe Lemiere. She walked to Nicholas and linked her arm to him.
"Thankyou, Mrs. Lemiere."
"You should go.. Brandon is looking for you. He's waiting outside waiting for you." She smiled.
"Thankyou, Mr. and Mrs. Lemiere."
"Welcome, Priscilla. We should have dinner together sometimes."
"Will do, Mrs. Lemiere." I said and then Nicholas gestured to me to go. I walked away from them towards the ballroom entrance. I saw Brandon looking out to the road and kept calling. I took out my phone and saw it vibrating with Brandon's name on the screen. I walked to him.
"Looking for someone, Mr. Lemiere?" I asked and he turned to me. He smiled and hugged me tightly.
"I miss you." He said and I patted his back.
"Really?"
"Yeah.. I was looking for you earlier.. wait.. where are you from?" He held my shoulder and raised his eyebrows.
"Inside.."
"Huh? Why didn't you find me first? Don't you know how much I've miss you?"
"I took a fresh air for a few minutes.. and besides you were talking to your friends so I decided not to disturb you for a moment." I smiled and he gave me a peck on my lips.
"Let's go inside." He said as he put his arm around my shoulder.
"So how's work?"
"Well.. it's usual.. My dad is still a little pissed at me. He kept following me around for work."
"Next time don't be clumsy, Brandie."
"So how's your project?"
"It's done. I will have my presentation in 2 days." I said and he smiled nodding.
"You will do great."
"Priscilla!!" I turned my head to see Stella squealing. I chuckled and hugged her.
"Stella!!"
"Gosh.. Have you done your presentation project?" She asked and I nodded.
"Should we hug too?" Axel asked Brandon. Me and Stella chuckled seeing Brandon looking at Axel weirdly.
"Yes, I've done it. Have you?"
"No.. This guy kept distracting me." She pointed at Axel.
"You still have 2 days. Don't worry." I said and she nodded.
"I hate Mr. Baldy." She pouted.
"I hate him too."
"Oh oh.. I have this cute guy in my medical class." She whispered and we giggled.
"Is he handsome?" I whispered back.
"Let's go.. You can talk later." Brandon pulled me away before Stella can answer.
"I'll tell you tomorrow." She said because Axel pulled her away too.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"Secret." I smirked and he kissed my cheek.
"What time do you have class tomorrow?"
"Eleven, why?" I asked.
"Can you stay with me tonight?" He whispered and I know this guy is starting to be clingy.
"I'll think about it." I smirked looking at him.
"Think about it? What the heck?" He hissed and I kissed him.
"I love you." I whispered to his ear and then slipped from his arm. I took a glass of champagne and walked away quickly but he caught me.
"Repeat that."
"Repeat what?" I asked pretending to be dumb.
"Those words.. earlier."
"What? I didn't say anything." I said looking at him innocently.
"Priscilla." He said in a warning tone and I shook my head.
"Priscilla!!!" I turned my head to see Scarlette. I squealed and hugged her.
"Can you take her away?" Brandon asked Matthew and we both hugged each other tightly.
"Can you take her away?" Matthew asked the same thing.
"Go away.. I miss my Cilla." Scarlette said and I chuckled.
"Priscilla, let's g-"
"I love you." I mouthed him and his eyes widened.
"That's it.. I'm taking you away. Get away Clumlette." Brandon literally pulled me away. I gestured to Scarlette we will talk later and she nodded.
"Hey.. Where are you taking me?" I asked and he pulled me out to the emergency door. He pinned me to the wall and looked at me straight into my eyes.
"Repeat it again."
"Brandon.. I said it twice already. Are you deaf or something?"
"Correction. You said it once and mouthed it once.. so.. repeat it please."
"I.. hate you." I smirked and he looked at me flatly.
"Fine.. I love you, Brandon Lemiere."
"Good." He said and I looked at him disbelief.
"Good? Aren't you supposed to say it back?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Why should I?" He asked as he held both of my hands.
"Why should I?" I repeated and literally can't believe he said that. Suddenly I felt something weird and I looked down.. and my eyes widened.
"You.. what?" He took it off again and put it back into his pocket.
"Brandon.. are you kidding me?" I hissed coldly and he chuckled. I took it out and kneeled down on his knee.
"Sorry.. just messing with you." He chuckled and I smacked his shoulder.
"It's not funny!!"
"Okay okay.. stop being mad.."
"Can you just stop talking and slip it back to my ring finger? You talk too much." I hissed and took the ring from his hand and put it on my own.
"Wait.. I hav-"
"No need.. I know the question."
"It's a sign that you're my best girlfriend." He said and I rolled my eyes. I know he's messing with me again.
"Are you going to kneel there all day or you're going to kiss me?" I asked and he laughed.
"You're unbelievable." He said and crashed his lips to mine.
