Brandon Lemiere
I walked into my house and again.. it's dark. Priscilla has a late surgery so she can't be home tonight. I walked up to my room and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. I took a quick shower and walked out from the bathroom. I dried my hair with a small towel and looked at the empty bed.
"Why do I have a doctor as my wife? I'm damn lonely." I said to myself and sighed. I sat down on the bed and took my phone to check the time and it's 11.
I turned to see Priscilla's side of the bed and sighed big time. I miss her and we've been away from each other for some time. I'm busy with my work and she's busy with her shift but I'm glad that she's happy.
I decided to text her since I don't think she will answer my call.
Brandon :
I'm home already and I miss you. How's the surgery going? Are you tired? Can you call me after you read this? I miss you like crazy.
I sent it and in a minute.. Priscilla called. I pressed the green button like a crazy man and put my phone to my ear.
"Hey baby." She greeted me.
"Hey.. How's the surgery?" I asked.
"I just finished it.. I have another surgery later on at 1." She said and I heard her yawning.
"Have a rest, Priscilla.. Don't overwork yourself." I said and she chuckled.
"Yes love.. I will."
"I miss you like crazy."
"I miss you too." She said.
"Have you eaten?"
"Grabbed a sandwich earlier.. So how's work?" She answered quickly and I know that she's lying.
"Are you free now?" I ignored her question.
"Yeah.. I'm free until 12.30. Why?"
"See you in 10 minutes." I ended the call right away. I changed my shirt real quick and ran out from my room. I rushed down and jumped into my car. I drove out from my house straight to the hospital where she works. I got out and found her already waiting for me at the lobby with her white coat and stethoscope wrapped around her neck.
I walked to her with a big smile plastered on my face. I hugged her tightly and kissed the side of her head.
"I miss you." She said as she buried her face to my chest.
"Let's go eat something." I said as I held her hand. She looked at me weirdly and I smiled.
"I told you that I alr-"
"I know you're lying." I cut her and she chuckled.
"So what do you have in mind?" She asked and I pointed at vietnam noddle place right across the hospital. God bless that restaurant because it opens 24 hours. She nodded and we both walked there.
"You need a lot of rest.. your eyebags.. it's crazy." I said and she pinched my arm.
"Hey! What was that for?" I hissed at her.
"I have a cute eyebags.. stop mocking it."
"Fine fine.. Your eyebags are lovely, darling." I teased her.
"Thank you, darling." She kissed my cheek and I smiled at her.
"So how's work today?" She asked.
"Well.. a little hectic since Matthew and Dylan are on their period. They kept getting angry with little things. Thank God Scarlette got him back to track or else.."
"Brandon." She stopped me and I raised my eyebrows.
"Hmm?" She just looked at me smiling widely.
"What?" I asked.
"I heard Axel protesting to Stella yesterday and that he's lonely and asked her to have a one year break. Well.. that makes me think about you.." She poked my chest and I chuckled.
"Thankyou Axel for helping me to tell how I feel."
"Oh is that so?" She asked in a teasing tone.
"Yeah.. I am lonely but.. I'm not like Axel who is grumpy all the time."
"Do you hear yourself babe? Not grumpy? You're the grumpiest man alive."
"I'm not grumpy." I said and she rolled her eyes. I pulled her hand and continued to walk towards the restaurant.
Priscilla here is a really great doctor. She's a surgeon and yes she's really damn cool. She loves her job and I'm glad that she's happy. One day, she can't save a patient's life and then she cried crazily. She called me when I was in Miami and I went home right away. She was shocked and it's normal.
I told my dad that I need a rest from work to be with Priscilla all the time. I kept my eyes on her all the time and kept comforting her. That's just one time.. she learnt that she already helped the patient but God has another plan for that patient.
"Brandon.."
"Hmm?"
"Can you wait for me tonight?" She asked.
"Okay."
"I take a week break so after this surgery is done.. I can go home and be with you and go cuddly cuddly." She said cutely.
"Cuddly cuddly?" I asked in a teasing tone.
"If you don't want it.. feel free to go home.." She gestured me to go home and I laughed.
"Geez woman.. I was joking."
"It's not a big surgery so I'll be finished in 45 minutes.. will you wait for me?"
"Of course babe.. You know where I will wait for you right?"
"Yeah.. Starbucks as always."
"Good." I ruffled her head. We walked into the restaurant and ordered the food. We sat down near the window and she suddenly glared at me.
"What's with that glare? Did I say something wrong?"
"Don't wait for me at Starbucks!" She hissed and I looked at her confused.
"Why? I want coffee."
"I will buy it for you!" I said at the speed of light.
"Huh?"
"The girl.. that girl.. she likes you!" Huh?
"What girl?"
"The girl.. who makes coffee in Starbucks! She has a crush on you.. she kept writing her phone number on your cup!" She bursted and I found it so amusing because she never let out her jealousy before.. I mean a few times but now like this.
"I ignored it."
"She has these weird eyes when she stares at you.. no way! I'm going to buy the coffee for you and you're going to wait for me in the waiting room in the hospital." She hissed and looked away.
"I love you."
"I don't.. I know you say that because you want to sit there."
"I love you, Priscilla."
"No!"
"Priscilla Lemiere, I love you." I said it again and she turned to me.
"I'm not letting you go to-" I got up and crashed my lips to her. I smiled widely and kissed her nose. I sat back on my seat and I looked at her.. she's cute.
"I love you, Priscilla Lemiere."
"Ugh! I love you too." She said with a small voice.
"Then you know I won't go there.. I'll just buy a coffee from the cafeteria then."
"Good." She replied in a small tone. When I was going to say something.. our food came. I thanked the waiter and he left.
"I love it when you're jealous. You're damn cute.. If you don't have any surgery.. I will drag you back to the house and we will have a business.." I smirked and she looked at me in disbelief.
"You're unbelievable!"
"I love you, Priscilla Lemiere."
"Love you too.. but I hate you too.. ugh!"
