Brandon Lemiere
I looked at Priscilla who is currently sitting across me. The sunlight shines through the window and hits her face perfectly. Her light blue eyes shine perfectly and it's really fascinating to see her eyes light up seeing all the food.
"You're not eating?" Suddenly her eyes landed on me and I found myself nodding. I looked down to my steak and started to cut it.
"I'm coming with you." She suddenly started it and I shook my head.
"I know what you are going to do.. so no."
"Don't destroy him before you know the reason, Brandon." She said and I laughed dryly.
"Priscilla.. You won't be successful as a CEO if you have that heart."
"I'm a future doctor, Brandon." She rolled her eyes.
"Right.. completely forgot about that." I said sarcastically.
"Why do you want me to come with you to New Zealand?" She suddenly asked and I looked up to her. I was going to say something but the cat got my tongue. I was speechless seeing her sitting there looking so beautiful.
"Brandon.."
"Huh?"
"Why do you pick me to come to New Zealand instead of your own secretary?" She asked it again and I ignored her. I don't want to answer that.
"Brandon." She called and I looked up to her.
"Ali is a little bit dumb." That's a lie, Ali is a really smart secretary.
"I'm a lot more dumber." She said. I took one piece of meat and eat it. I looked up to her again and sighed.
"She's your sec-"
"Once again, I'm your boss."
"Don't tell me that you fancy me.." I looked at her with a bored face.
"You got a really big confidence, Priscilla."
"That's good if you don't." She smiled widely and she continued to eat her food. I leaned back to my seat and looked at her.. observing her to be exact.
"What if one day, there's someone who falls in love with you and he's willing to accept you for who you are. Will you be with him?" I asked and she stopped eating.
"I can't give what he deserves. I was a slut, a whore, a bitch and the list goes on. How can someone want me for me? It was my choice.. I had a lot of choices but I picked that way to survive. It was my fault to pick it and I regretted it. At that time.. I didn't think about anything else beside my mom." She answered.
"You deserve to be happy, Priscilla." I said and suddenly she sighed big time. She set her eyes on me coldly.
"Can you not say those things to me? Can you just treat me cruelly or something like that?" She asked with a hint of an angry tone.
"Priscilla, I'm just trying to cheer you up."
"I don't need you to cheer me up or you to pity me.. I can stand by myself."
"Priscilla, I don't hav-"
"If you keep acting like this, I will fall in love with you crazily. So can you please stop doing all these things." She bursted truthfully and that got me a little bit shocked.
"What's wrong with that?" I asked and she was speechless.
"What's wrong if you fall in love with me?"
"Everytime I fall in love with someone, I want to forget all of my past and I want to be happy for once. I keep wanting to be a greedy person without thinking about others.." She said in a really sad tone and kept looking down to the table.
"I know my heart very well, Brandon. I want to prevent that."
"That's not my question.. Priscilla. My question is what's wrong if you fall in love with me?" I repeated.
"Very wrong. You're Brandon Lemiere. Freaking Brandon Lemiere.. The third son of Nicholas Lemiere. You're a member of the 7 Gold Lifes. You're a really good guy, smart, handsome and the list goes-"
"Honestly.. I don't mind if you fall in love with me. All you need to do is.. to make me fall in love with you." I said and she looked at me in horror. She shook her head right away.
"Let's stop talking about this because I'm un-"
"What if I'm the one who falls in love with you?" I cut her. She laughed dryly.
"Why would a guy like you fall in love with me? Are you nuts?"
"You're a strong woman. You're beautiful. You're smart. You love your family until you're willing to do anything to keep your family save. You're a brave woman. You're a future doctor and you-"
"We're done talking about this and I want you to not bring this topic again, Brandon. This will be one first and last having lunch together." She hissed as she got up from her seat.
"Seeing you like this.. makes me want to make you fall in love with me more.." I stated as I picked up one meat and put it into my mouth.
"You will get my resignation letter tomorrow morning." She's damn serious and I never saw that coming.
"I have other ways to reach you, Priscilla. If you think avoiding me means finish well.. you are a little bit wrong." I said and I looked up to her. She scoffed coldly.
"Well.. If you want me, you can call me and give me a really big amount of money. I will give you one night." I know she's trying to make me hate her. I know her too well that she won't sell her body for money again. She's doing this because she's afraid.. that's all.
"Deal.. 100.000 dollars for one night." I said and her eyes widened. She didn't see that coming..
"You asshole." She hissed. She took her bag ready to leave but I stopped her by holding her wrist.
"I said.. I will pay you to have one night with me, Priscilla. You said it earlier that I can pay you if I want you right?" I smirked and I bet she looked at my face right now.
"I don't want it."
"Why? Because you're starting to fall for me?"
"Goodbye, Brandon." She said and I let her go.
