Rose Hastington
"How many times do you want to break my heart? Until I die?" I asked coldly and pushed him away from me.
"I'm sorry , I- I know I act stupid selfish and everything but I promise you Rose. I've change.. I-"
"So? You've change? I don't care!" I glared at him and he just looked into my eyes.
"I love you Rose.. you know that." I scoffed hearing his statement.
"Yeah love me but sleeping around with tons of woman. What kind of bull**** you want to say now Max?"
"I-" He sighed and he’s speechless.
"I'm still immature.”
"Yeah you are." I said sarcasticly.
"Rose, let's start from the beginning okay? Open a new chapter and-"
"No. You're just wasting your time begging for a chance to me. Just go away and let's be strangers.”
"You know I can't do that.”
"I don't care about your feelings." I said coldly, colder than ice.
"I will get you again Rose.”
"I said you just waisting-“
"You're meaningful to me and I will never give up Rose." He stated and I swear I got a headache.
"Goodbye Max." I turned around and walked away, I walked inside to the ballroom again and suddenly saw Angel and Alex. They're here?
I walked to them and poked Angel first. She turned and squealed, I hugged her.
"Hey princess." I greeted.
"Hey!" She said squealing.
"I met Alex this morning." I said and she nodded.
"We just landed from Miami." She said and I smiled.
"You must be tired.. why do you come here?" I asked.
"I miss you silly!" She said.
"I even told her that but she wanted to see you so bad. She misses everyone" Alex said and I smiled to him.
"Hey." I saw Max greet Alex and Alex looked at us awkwardly so was Angel.
"Let's have a drink!" Angel pulled me away from them both.
"I hate him." I mumbled and she looked at me with a sad expression.
"He's an asshole. I suggest you to move on." Angel said and I nodded.
"I tired but before I walked in and found you. I talked to him a bit and he said he won't give up on me. I swear I want to kill him." I hissed and she smiled, I looked at her weirdly.
"You still love him, don't you?" She asked and I shook my head.
"You still do. Look, I know he's an asshole but he change these days. I don't know if we can trust that or not."
"Change what? He’s still the same.” I rolled my eyes.
"He never sleep with girls anymore, he fix his attitude and he even cried.”
"That doesn't make my heart decide to forgive him, Angel." I looked at her disbelief and she smiled.
"I'm not asking you to forgive him, girly. Just watch out because he might get you back.”
"And tell me Angel, why do you say that?"
"He and Alex are close, Alex told me everything. He will do everything to get you again." I shook my head and sighed.
"Why is he so difficult?" I hissed.
"Babe." Suddenly Austin called me and I looked at him weirdly so was Angel. Angel looked at him in horror and at the same time Alex when to Angel. He hled her waist possessively.
"North.” Austin greeted.
"Portwalt.” Alex just gave him a little smile.
"Let's eat babe, I'm starving." He pulled me away before I even can say anything to Alex and Angel. We walked to our table and the waiter and waitress started putting our food in front of us. We ate slowly when suddenly there's an announcement.
"Mr. Cesantio here is wanting to entertain us by singing a song while playing a piano.” I choked on my food, everyone was looking at me awkwardly. Austin patted my back and I saw Max heading to the small stage at the left side of the ball room.
"Good evening everyone, Happybirthday to Mr. Hastington. I hope you stay healthy and keep strong with the hotel chain." Max smiled to my dad and my dad gestured him a thumbs up.
My parents doesn't like the idea of Max kept breaking my heart but they love him as his own child. Basicly, all the Gold Lifes not just Max, my parents knew about their backgrounds and everything so yeah.. they’re like their kids too.
"I want to sing a slow song to entertain ladies and gentlemen here while having a great meal.” Max said and I just can't take my eyes of him. He turned to me and he smiled. I gulped and looked away.
"If you're not the one by Daniel Bedingfield." He said and my eyes widen. Why does he have to sing my favorite song here? Why is he doing everything like his now?
I looked at Austin who’s already looking at me worried and just smile a little. I turned to Max and his eyes already stucked on me, I tried to look away but I can't.
Can you just stop Max? Stop everything you do and stop doing things like this.
Everyone who sat on the same table as mine, looked at me awkwardly. I saw my parents looking at me, oh how I want to hide my face right now. Suddenly Austin held my hand and gave me a smile.
"You okay?" Austin asked.
"No." I answered honestly.
"Do you want me to take you home?"
"I can't this is my dad's birthday.” I shook my head and he nodded understand. I turned to Max again and his eyes still stucked to me while playing the piano.
After he finished, people were clapping for him. I just looked at my food awkwardly and I lost my appetite.
"Hey." I heard his voice behind me that made me froze more.
"Can you just go away?" I asked coldly not bothering to look at him.
"Ro-"
"Just go Max, she doesn't want to talk with you." Austin said it for me.
"Okay fine.. I'll see you soon Rose. I love you."
