Angelo Le roux.
"Mr. Le roux, i assume Ms. Yasmine loved her gift." Seth questioned with a suggestive smile and honestly the gift was in my safe back at the apartment.
- she rejected it. you. it. you.
"She did." I nodded at him looking at the documents that he had set on my mahogany table.
"Mhm so do I also get an invite to the wedding of the year ?" He grimaced.
"What do you mean the wedding of the year ?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Well the engagement has been all over my new feed on twitter and even on snapchat." He said sheepishly.
"Oh.." I said with a sigh.
"Do I get the invitation ?" He asked once again.
"I will be sure to inform Yasmine." I concluded.
"Thank you so much Mr. Le roux." He said with a huge grin. "I will be coming with Tristan." He added.
"I know, you can't stay away from him not even for a second infact if I fire one of you, i should just fire both of you." I joked.
"Haha Mr. Le roux always the charmer." He chuckled shly, running his hand in his blonde quiff.
Tristan was Seth's boyfriend, he worked in the finance department. Honestly I think Seth was always happy because he was with someone whom he loved as cheesy as it sounds. The only time I had seen Seth in a bad mood, in all the three years he has worked for me...was when him and Tristan had decided to give each other space.
"Hey, uhm Seth can I ask you a question ?" I said tapping on my pen.
"Sure Mr. Rule." He chuckled seating in front of me, from across the table full of files and disrupted. "I'm sorry, I know you hate when I call you that. It's just saying Le roux gets tiring so why not just say Rule anyways...I'm blabbering so what did you want to ask me." He set his hands on the table. I decided to stand up as looking at the beautiful view behind me, i sighed then looked back at Seth.
"Whatever am about to ask you is strictly confidential, okay ?" I questioned.
"Of course, Mr. Rule but you are scaring me now. This sounds like those NCIS type of interviews." He layed back comfortably on his seat.
"What do you think of Raina ?" I asked. I wanted to hear what she was like...from someone else's point of view atleast. Apparently Seth and Raina were acquaintances so this was like a survey, you could say.
"Mhm, can I just say she is beautiful enough to make any gay man into a man." He said pursuing his lips.
"She has an effect on anyone with a Dick." Brad's words rang in mind.
"And ?" I pushed for him to continue because honestly I didn't like other people complimenting on Raina's beauty. Everyone is equally aware, we get it ; Raina Williams is beautiful.
"She seems like a nice person." He added.
"Seth, i want you to be completely honest, okay so don't sugar-coat anything." I summoned shoving my hands in my pockets.
"I am being hundred percent truthful." He gave a wink.
"You know what i think ?" He said and my ears instantly perked up.
"It's like you were both meant to be and I know you don't like hearing this. Honestly your kids are beautifully made, you would make a beautiful family. Also Raina is a great mom, you should see her when she is with the twins." He cooed and hearing those words, I felt out of breath and even more confused.
"Who are you inlove with ?" Brad's words rang in my mind again.
"You know i use to look at magazines and think wow, I like this couple better than Kim and Kanye. That was before I got this job. I honestly don't know why you broke up but I'm quite happy if Yasmine makes you happy." He added. It's true what Brad had said the other day, people thought Raina and I were dating.
"You were like the boyfriend anyone ever wanted, you know. When you took her to Venice and Paris, you became every girls dream. Not to sound nosy or anything but the pictures were leaked so yeah."
"It's okay. Privacy is not something I get." I chuckled lightly and he nodded.
"That sucks but I wouldn't mind the publicity." He grimaced. You would think I felt uncomfortable with Seth but I didn't. He was funny and very nice.
"I hate to break your perfect image of me and Raina but-" i paused walking back and fourth around my huge office. "But Raina and I weren't dating."
As soon as these words left my lips, he gasped. "It was more sex than anything and I knew she was inlove with me but I denied her the privilege of actually being in a relationship."
"Oh that poor sweet girl." He paused in thought. "Is that why you are marrying another woman ? Raina wasn't the one right because you were with her for so many years but you didn't even give her time of the day. You were with Ms. Yasmine for a year then the following year you proposed." He sighed talking to himself more than anything, he wanted to make sense of the whole situation.
"Then I made her pregnant and paid her off to get an abortion which of course she didn't and I thank God for that." I groaned feeling anything but embarrassed when I saw Seth looking at me with a somber expression.
"You are my boss but I have to say this... Mr. Le roux you are an arsehole." I did expect some sort of insult but when it came I wasn't ready for it.
"I know Seth." I ran my hand through my jet black hair.
"I'm just happy that moment is over. You moved on and she moved on." He looked sad while saying this. "I guess it's true what they say one mistake can ruin your entire life." He smiled then almost immediately frowned.
"Her biggest mistake was you." that felt like being stabbed multiple times on the same wound.
"Who knows maybe if you had not met, as beautiful as she is. She would have been married by now and you know all the good stuff life has to offer." He shrugged.
"Uhm i guess you are right." was all I could muster.
"Raina is such a strong woman, i admire her honestly." He added.
"You probably hate me now." I sighed.
"No, I'm just shocked, Mr. Le roux. I just thought you and Raina were the perfect couple but I guess not. This just proves life is not a fairy tale." I felt horrible, it was as he every word he said was a bullet aiming directly towards me.
"I think you stole someone's princess before the actual prince had arrived. No no no she kissed a frog and it didn't turn into a prince...it remained a frog." He looked devastated, he didn't look bubbly like before. I felt really like every word was taking its tore on me.
"I think I was inlove with her." I said absent-mindly.
"No, Mr. Le roux that was not love! You were not inlove with her or anything because when you love someone you don't put them through such crap." it was the first time he had used fowl language because I knew how he absolutely distasted it. Was it that bad that even Seth was now cursing...
"For the record please inform Ms. Yasmine that I work for you and not for her so she shouldn't sent me around like an errand boy." He drastically changed the subject.
"What ?" I questioned because I had no idea about any of this.
"Since we are being honest and all. Mr. Le roux I hate Ms. Yasmine, she is an aggravating, judgemental bitch and I'm glad you left Raina for her because birds of the same feathers flock together. Toxic people, one side. Now if you would excuse me, i would like to go back to my desk and do my job. Nevermind the wedding invitation." He pursued his lips. I was at loss for words, i really was a terrible person and I don't know why it took me so long to realise it.
I will have to live with this guilt forever.
