Alpha's Hated Mate
Camilla's POV
Adrian finished his bath and I nervously passed around with the pills in my hand. I took one after pill but couldn't put them down because I was distracted.
“Are you going to drink that?”
“No, I mean yes.” I say taking another. “Fuck I already took one Adrian you're confusing me.”
“Two won't do you any harm I'm sure.” He says.
“Where did you get these pills?”
“The pharmacy at Eastern Lake mall.” He replied.
“Some of them taste weird, they seem expired.” I lied anything to score cheap points.
“I doubt it but I'll get you some others.”
“It’s fine I'll get them later.” I say smiling.
“Mia.”
“Yes.” my heart beat drummed hard in my chest.
“I need to talk to you.” He sits an angle closer to me, the words of tragedy hanging on his lips. He doesn't need to tell me Santiago made sure of it.
I slapped my forehead. “Ah fuck I forgot about going to the Midnight Saints I promise I will come by before going to Silverline.”
“Good because we really need to talk.” He states.
“Yes and have the kids ready for when I return.” I scratched my neck.
“Okay.” he nods as I slip from bed.
I smile and kiss him at first he is reluctant but gives in and kisses me passionately before pulling out.
“Later Alpha Adrian.” I say walking out is more like running out. I go to Santiago's room and knock but find him in a very compromising situation with Annalise. They disengaged quickly and fought for their clothes.
“Sorry but can I borrow your car?”
“Sure keys are in the drawer.” Santiago groaned hoarsely.
Annalise reaches for the keys and tosses them at me.
“Thanks, sorry for interrupting.” I apologise again.
“You weren't interrupting Beta and I have a play date to schedule.”
“Love that finally giving this mate bond a chance but I'm tryna save my bond so I'm going to run." I say walking out and they laugh. Soon as I get outside I meet my girls.
“Hey babies.” I yelled happily.
Zuri waves. “Hi.”
“Mommy.” Arieya giggles running into my outstretched arms.
“Auntie you look immaculate.” Stacey praises my outfit.
“Thanks sweets.” I say smiling at her.
“Very pretty.” Karla complements as she too gets into my arms. That's when I come to the realisation that I left my cell phone.
“Karla sweetie can you run inside and tell alpha Adrian to give you my phone I'll be in Beta's car?”
“Okay where are you going?”
“To see Aunt Arielle.” I drop the bombshell and see the two girls exchange looks at the other. They won't let me off.
“Cousin.”
“Yes and Liam too.” I answer.
“Can we come?” Karla asks hopefully.
“Sure, just get my phone.”
“Okay.” she says running upstairs
“I have never been to the Midnight Saints pack.” Zuri expresses regrets with fondness in her tone.
“You'll love it, come on everybody to the car.”
I lead them to Santiago's car and help them settle in the back seat. Karla returns and gets in the front with me.
“Auntie, can I come stay with you so I can go to Karlita's school too?” Stacey begged.
“You can come visit Silverline anytime but I doubt your uncle would appreciate me taking another one of his favourite girls.”
Stacey nods. “Okay then I'll be delighted to visit.”
I turn on the radio and play music. They sing along and of course my Arieya is probably dosing in the back.
Upon arriving at Ryan's pack Arieya is knocked out. I carry her inside with the girls right behind me. Ryan was heading out when we arrived but he took a moment to greet me and say hello to his younger substitute Luna Karla. I went inside and put Arieya next to a sleeping Liam. The girls ran off to play and I remained with Arielle, Ashanti and Tamina.
“What work does Ryan have on a Sunday?”
"Getting his wife ice cream from two towns over.” Mina answers.
“It’s what I'm craving.” Arielle pouts wanting to cry. The pregnancy symptoms are written all over her.
“Oh God you're pregnant too." I blurt.
“Too?” Ashanti asked, perplexed.
“Yes, my best female warrior is pregnant.”
Arielle rubs her tummy. “I feel like it's too soon.”
I crouched to the seat she's sitting on and locked her gaze as I rubbed her tummy. “Nonsense it's not soon.”
“I wanted to sort Jacques first he worries me and Ryan two he never speaks in front of him he cowers.”
“He's just a kid and he knows daddy is Alpha so he's probably scared.” Ryan could be ruthless but not to Arielle and his son he loves them more than anything with me included.
“You're right I've been saying that too.” Arielle smiles relieved.
I nod and smile. “I hope it's another cute little boy just like Jacques.”
“Ryan wants a girl.”
“Karla will be mad if another girl gets his attention.” I jokingly say and we laugh.
“So what's up with you and the fine piece of man?” Tamina, jabbed my arm seeking my attention.
I stand to my feet before grabbing a chair and sat down with the ladies as they waited for me to speak. “I want to be with him like a real couple not just fucking around sneakily I want what we had before he ruined me.”
“Have you told him he'll be so happy that man adores you he loves you with everything?” Arielle asked.
“He doesn't want me, he's scared of history repeating itself.” My heart ripped saying the words. My mate doesn't want me, he's trying everything possible to get rid of me.
“That's crazy.” Tamina breathes, peering up to Arielle who is dumbfounded at my revelation.
“He wants to talk to me about it but I'm stalling, that's why I came here.” my voice breaks as I stop myself from crying. It hurts deeply.
Arielle finds her voice clearing her throat. “You can't avoid him forever.”
“I can try.”
“He'll take one for the team.”
“Hopefully.” I say playing with my fingers.
“Where’s Beta?”
“Belle is in Silverline doing my job for me while I get laid.” I smile as it comes to Belle.
“I wish I never got laid." Arielle feigns staring at her little bump and the changes a baby will subject to her perfect body the incoming months.
“Why?” we all asked in unison and giggled together like old times.
“The first trimester is the worst for me and besides I hate suffering through pregnancy alone and my best friends aren't knocked up with me so much for loyalty.”
“I'll get knocked up so you don't suffer alone.” Ashanti says smiling, making us rumble into laughter. There's never a full moment spent with them.
“So sweet.” Arielle spreads her arms as they both hug.
“Baby, how was your experience with Arieya?” Tamina threw the question at me off guard.
“Not even me craving chocolate gave me up and I didn't start showing till 5months into it she ruined my taste buds so much the only thing I was comfy with eating was chocolate and Arielle's cooking.” My pregnancy was crazy and a worthy experience. I made an angel from those pain.
“You had an easy pregnancy but the goddamn mood swings had you miserable as fuck.” Arielle takes me to memory lane as I nod in realization.
“No wonder I have a mean ass baby.” I palmed my face.
“No no, that little girl is adorable.”
“She is.” I smile looking at my phone. “I should get going.”
“You didn't stay long?" Tamina says looking hurt at my sudden dismissal to leave she probably thinks I don't want to be with them.
“I know but I have to go drop Zuri and Stacey then drive all the way to Silverline.” I explain.
“Fly there.” Arielle suggests.
“If I keep flying I won't have money left for the kids' college.” I pecked them goodbye and left hurriedly.
