I took her hand and we ran back to Golden hunters. Annalise got tired on the way so I carried her on my back. She's not as heavy as she looks. After freshening up, I went to Camilla.
I pushed the door open and came face to face with Camilla on her phone, she peered up and locked gaze.
“Hey Santiago.” She sits up with a friendly smile.
“Where's Adrian?” I say glancing around the room with no trace of the fucker.
“He's taking a bath.'” She points at the door and a rush of running water hits my eardrum.
“Okay I need your help come with me.”
“Sure.” she says putting on some slippers and we walk out the door.
“What do you need?” she leans her back to the door with apt attention at me.

“Adrain told me you're back.”
She sighs. “Yes I was figuring out my shit.”
“I assume you want to get back together.”
“How did you know?” She asked surprised her body language screams uncertainties.
“He told me you were his Mia last night and now he thinks he'll break you again because of the warning Sheryl gave us so he wants to end things with you. He doesn't want this anymore now that he knows that you're willing to take a chance at your relationship he won't risk history repeating itself so whatever you do don't let him say it don't let him break up with you make up excuses do something else just don't let the words fly out his mouth.” I narrate.
“Okay but why doesn't he want me anymore this is just like when we first started out?” she cried.
“No not this time he knows he loves you, you're the most important thing to him and you gave him what he adores most… his daughter.” I placate. I wish I could make her understand better but I lack the right words.
“So then why is he planning on blowing me off?” she asked with gritted teeth her rage blowing in her throat as her eyes grew dark.
“He's scared.”
“Adrian isn't scared of anything he's probably just over me.” she says swallowing the hurts, I could see the hurt glistening in her eyes fighting to break free in tears.
I pulled her into my arms and rubbed her back and listened to her heartbeat calm down before I spoke. “You're wrong Cami Adrian is scared of hurting you, you're the love of his life. He doesn't want to break you he sure as hell won't dare break you again just look what happened last time.”
“Oh God" she sobs lightly.
“You're his weakness so it must be easy for you to distract him and make him forget about what he has to say.”
“I can't…” her head shakes on my chest.
“Look at me I promised you once that he'd love you forever and you'd be happy together. I will make sure of it, you just keep on top of you and I'll handle the rest.”
“Okay.” she says peering up as we disengaged. I tap a lone tear on her cheek, trapping it in my palm.
“Avoid the topic Camilla, okay drag it out as long as you can.” I advise. Adrian would tell her as soon as possible and the only way to prevent it is never to start the conversation in the first place.
“Okay.”
My work here is done.
“I'm going to talk to Annalise right now.”
“I see she's finally coming to her senses.” Camilla chuckles.
I'll see you later and please don't let him say it.” I warn again.
“I will drag it out.” she says confidently, giving me a thump.
I place a kiss on her forehead and walk away. I find Annalise talking to my latest fuck buddy- Shelly.
“Annalise.” I call out and she turns her head to me and looks at me angrily.
“Baby love what are you doing? I thought you were freshening up?” I was back to calling her, her pet names. The rigid act earlier has worn off. I can't keep up any longer acting like Annalise doesn't mean the world to me when she owns my very existence. I breathe her in like air then how do I live without her.
“I finished a few minutes ago then wandered here and met Shelly.” she giggles flipping her hair to the side as the ladies held hands like lost best friends.
“Shelly?” My teeth froze in line. It better not be what I'm thinking lest I'll be doomed, women supporting women don't work in the real world.
“I was just having a chat with her.” Shelly defends with a whisper, afraid knowing what I might do to her if she says more than necessary.
“About what?”
“Girls stuff.”
I look at Annalise and she smiles mischievously.
“I have to go. I'll see you around Annalise and beta when I get back.” she says heading out of the kitchen running in the sense of her in haste. My dangerous stares were burning angry holes in her body the amount of things I could do when it involves my mate.
“ummm no. .” I trailed off in an attempt to defend my lust. I lacked how to start and where to defend myself. What I've done is unforgivable.
Annalise smiles walking closer to where I stood covering our distance as she lifts a finger and raises my under chin as we locked gaze. It was hard to look her in the eye and tell her I found a rebound and it was a lady working in the pack, every woman would be jealous.

Annalise wraps her arms around my neck and brushes her nose to mine. “Shelly told me you're friends.”

“She didn't leave out any details, she told me everything and I must say I could have never pegged you for it.”

“Well it sounded like you had fun didn't you?” she swerved the topic.
“Is this a trap?”
“I am not the jealous type. Well 99% of the time but oh that 1%.” She pursed her lip and brushed her lips to mine. Electricity sparked through my veins at the little connection, she felt it too as she gasped wide eyed.
I smile at her and she searches the room with her eyes as she pulls her hands away.
“Which one of them did you enjoy fucking most?” she points to the bed.
