Liam's POV
Wow!! I can't believe this, Clara cuddled with Cole a few minutes ago, and not just that she is actually cuddling up in my arms right now?
If this is a dream, don't wake me up. I don't ever want to wake up.
I feel her, I can feel every part of her bare body, and her chest is against mine, her long legs visible. Oh, it is going to be a memorable day for me. Being with my Luna Clara is the best thing ever. I have never felt this way with anyone before.
Oh my goodness, she will be the death of us Cole.
Cole couldn't contain his happiness any longer so he spoke up
"Our mate just touched my fur, I want to be the one to spend the night with her Liam"
"No way you've had your turn now it's mine" Liam replied
"Oh really? I am so glad she finally accepted me. She said she will see me again soon. Oh Liam our mate finally is learning to accept both of us" Cole said in excitement
"It's quite surprising to me that you weren't aggressive towards her Cole"
"Why would I do that Liam? She is my mate and we are both one. So if you don't hurt her how do you expect me to? You only care about her so how would you expect me not to do the same?"
"But you have a mind of your own"
"Yes, I do. I know you are referring to that night when your parents died Liam"
"Why Cole? Why did you act like I was invincible and nonexistent when I needed you the most?"
"Because I have never been so afraid, you were going through so many emotions at the time and I had no idea how to come in to comfort you that was why I couldn't say anything to you. And you know I am not much of a talker myself. My recent wanting to talk could be because I am tired of keeping it all in or it might also be because our mate is here and she is a chatterbox so I guess I might have become one as well"
"Fine, now I get it. But right now I just want to focus on this moment with our mate because I don't know when I'll have this chance again, so do I favor for tonight and go back to being not much of a talker okay?"
Cole growled and relaxed a little bit.
While Liam stayed awake all through the night watching Clara's facial appearance (beauty) while cuddling up to him.
Clara who was oblivious to all these slept comfortably snuggling more and more into Liam's arms. While Liam held onto her like she would disappear if he did anything otherwise.
Finally, It's Morning, Clara woke up to see cute cheekbones and jaws above her head, and then she realized strong arms holding her tight.
Clara then paid closer attention, what she saw made her gasp for breath,
Liam's eyelids, his hair, his perfect abs, she wished she could run her hands through those six packs.
It was a beautiful feeling, she has never had to wake up in the arms of a male the next day ever since she came of age, except Gabe. Whom she views as family, other than that no one else.
After gawking at those attractive cheekbones she tried standing up but she wasn't able to, she was held tightly by their strong arms of Liam. Subconsciously, Liam who has been watching her all through the night fell deeply asleep but he was holding onto her body as if his life depended on it.
After trying effortlessly to free herself from his tight grip and not much improvement, Clara tried the easy way out. Which was waking him up to let go of his strong grips on her back. Though it was cute and all, it was beginning to hurt and she was really pressed at the moment.
"Liam... Liam? Liam. Wake up it's morning"
"Hmm," Liam said still holding on to her
"Wake up it's morning"
"Just five more minutes," He said sleepy eyed
"Hey... Wake up" Clara yelled
"Come on, don't ruin this moment"
"Shameless, well I've got to do number 1. Or would you prefer I get on with it here with you?"
"Sure I wouldn't mind"
Clara hit him on his head and he let go immediately.
"Ouch, Clara come on you are a party pooper," Liam said sulking
"Ha-ha I'd prefer that than being termed a bed wetter a day after my 19th birthday"
"Silly you"
Clara ran out to help herself and Liam couldn't stop smiling and looking at her with eyes of love.
She came back, washed her body in a small body of water beside the cave, and changed into her outfit, the only one she came with the previous night. The only difference this time was she let her hair loose.
While Liam wore his clothes as well and they headed back
"Clara it's time to close your eyes again"
"No, I want to walk back with you"
"It might take all day if we walk back as humans would"
"Yeah when am tired you'll carry me back"
"Fine," Liam said, holding on to Clara as they walked by my side.
"Wow!!! Since we arrived at night at this place though it was beautiful, now during the day, the rays of the sun made it more and more Pretty Liam. Look at that she said pointing to a kangaroo, wait a minute is that a horse?"
"Yes, it sure is, want to have a ride?"
"Can I?" Clara asked
"Of course, you can. Like I said anything you want since you are here, why not?"
"Liam whistled and the horse raced to them"
"Is it yours? What is its name?"
"Bella, it was given to me by my mom, so I brought her here so she can run freely in the wild."
"Do you have another?"
"Yeah, it's in the stables far behind our room"
"Okay come on let's go, I want to feel the wind in my hair."
Liam helped her climb into the horse and he climbed behind her and they began horse riding.
"Wow!! I love this feeling of being on top of a horse, I have never been on one before thank you for making me experience new things for the first time"
"Sure anything for you dear"
So they rode on Bella, and after a while, they came down.
"Thank you, Liam, I enjoyed the ride"
"Yeah, am glad you like it"
"So tell me, how did you know about this place?"
"Are you sure you want to know?" Liam asked
"Yeah" Clara nodded affirmatively
"No matter how scary it is?" Liam asked again to be fully sure she is truly ready to want to listen to what he had to say.
"Yeah" Clara replied again this time with all curiosity
"Well, I was born a werewolf, as you know half wolf, half man. Later known as the next alpha. And then my first shift happened when I was just ten and my shape-shifting was extraordinary so my dad, the last Alpha, brought me here away from the eyes of the elders. He said I had extraordinary powers and if the elders saw it, some would want to steal my powers for themselves so this was where I had my first shape-shifting so whenever I come here, I feel so alive Clara and I feel at home. I feel like my dad is with me, I feel connected to this place and I have never brought anyone here before except for Eric, my childhood friend and Beta. Other than that, no one, not even my sister. You are the only female and only one aside from Eric"
"Whoa! Why then did you bring me here? To this special place of yours that even your younger sister hasn't been to?"
"Because Clara you are an important and a special part of me"
"But why Liam, would you bring me here?"
"Clara, like I told you, you won't understand it. Whenever I am with you I feel like I can be free. I want to be able to be by your side every minute."
This revelation made Clara blush so much.
The truth was she is so in love with Liam, but just as she had made up her mind, she will make it really hard for him to get him.
"Come on Clara I can feel you love me too"
This took her by surprise but she said nothing to either accept that she was or wasn't in love with him so he became nervous. The only thing she did was to distract him by pointing to a monkey, that way she won't have to disclose anything about what she was feeling at the moment.
Seeing that, Liam was somewhat down that she was purposely ignoring him, he held both her hands. She looked down not meeting his gaze, he held her face and tilted it upwards to look him in his eyes and said.
"Clara doesn't push this aside I really do love you"
"I... I ... Just can't deal with all of this rig...."
"Shh not another word, don't say something you don't mean Clara. I won't rush you. I'll wait for you even if it means waiting forever but please do something for me. Don't ever ignore my dear I can't bear it"
"Liam just stop"
"Why Clara I am being truthful to you, sweetheart please don't treat me like a stranger. Cause I won't be able to bear it I mean it"
"What do you mean by that, have I ever ignored you?" Clara asked with all seriousness and confusion because she had no idea when she had ignored him.
"Yes Love, you did"
"When was that?" Clara asked
"When you newly found out about me Clara you shut me out. I couldn't sleep. I just kept looking at your pictures on my phone for weeks. You avoided me, Clara. For close to three weeks it was the most crucial moment for Cole and me, we couldn't bear it. I wanted to end it all when you called me a monster Clara. You are our happiness and you are the only one who could make us either sad or happy. So please don't ever let me go through all that again, please Clara."
"Liam, I'm really sorry, I do love you but I can't seem to adjust to all this Luna and mate of a thing okay?"
"I won't push it, Clara, I won't force you to accept that fact, but just know that I love you for who you are and our mate bond is so strong, I will wait for you Clara regardless of how long it takes"
"Let's go back I am tired Liam" Clara said
So in one swoop, Liam carried her the usual way (bridal style), and then she closed her eyes. In less than a minute they arrived back in the town. And they both headed for their room.
Liam went downstairs to get breakfast for Clara after which they both ate in silence due to tiredness from walking, and the fact that she did not want to continue the discussion from earlier. Because the truth was she does love him, and Cole is not bad either, but the fact that she is fated to be with him makes her uncomfortable. After the late breakfast, Clara stood up without saying a word, went into the bathroom, took her bath, and then changed into comfy wear, came back without looking at Liam all through, and laid on the king-sized bed. A few minutes later she drifted off to sleep.
Sensing that his Alpha is back from his outing with his Luna in the making, Eric raced upstairs and barged into the room without knocking, and said
"Welcome back, daily morning reports Alpha" Eric said walking inside the bedroom without noticing that Luna is asleep.
"Shh... Don't be too loud. She just fell asleep right now and didn't make a sound. Come let's go into my study for that"
They both left for Liam's study and they got on with their daily activities.
