Alpha Clause glanced at me and his face softened as his lips tugged up into a smile, "Yes, you're right, my Fay. We can look for him through the Mirror of Wisdom after we get home and rest."
"Sure, but what if he does something crazy like leave the country before we start looking for him again?" Luna Ashley objected with a snarl on her face.
My eyes widened in shock when I realized that she was serious, "Don't be ridiculous! That would never happen!"
"Exactly, he wouldn't leave this country." Alpha Clause pointed out with a sigh, "He is a rogue after all. He will do whatever he wants without thinking about the consequences."
I shook my head, "That's my point, and if he did run away to another country, we would track him down no matter where he goes using the Mirror of Wisdom. Besides, why would he even want to go somewhere else? He has everything he could ever need here which are our packs that he wants to take over."
Luna Ashley glared at me, "You don't know him any better than I do. He might have gotten tired of living the life of being chased by us. Didn't you hear him say that he just wants us to leave him alone?"
Alpha Clause frowned at her as he cocked his head to the side, "What are you saying, Luna Ashley? Are you sympathisizing with him now? Do you want us to let him go so that he can keep hurting our pack members and eventually take over our packs?"
She looked a bit surprised that he responded that way and fear passed over her face as she shook her head, "I- no, that's not what I mean, but I don't think he will stay still. He might try running to another place and we need to find him ASAP."
I shook my head as I frowned and crossed my arms against my chest defiantly, "That's absurd! He wouldn't leave this world so much that he could never want anything different. And he certainly wouldn't run to another country since humans are everywhere there. As a rogue that wants to take over our werewolf world, I'm sure that he wouldn't leave it. Besides, think about us all, we're all exhausted, so we can't keep on, we need to rest."
She clenched her teeth in anger as she narrowed her eyes at me and muttered, "Are you saying that I'm trying to place everyone in danger and that I don't care about them?"
"Let's just get out of here." Luna Kat said with a sigh.
Alpha Clause nodded as he wrapped his arm around my waist, looking tired as we all were feeling, "Yeah, we need to meet up with Alpha Nathan and Carter then go home."
"It's been a very long day." Alpha Wyatt's voice floated to us, making us turn around to see him and Alpha Mason making their way towards us.
I didn't feel surprised as I asked, "He escaped again?"
"Yes, he did." Alpha Mason answered me with a frustrated look on his face and I understood that feeling since we have wasted so much time and energy on Alpha Ross. All the running around and fighting today was for nothing since he escaped at the end of the day.
After we climbed out of the tunnel, we met up with Alpha Nathan and Carter who had lost the rogues that they were watching over. So Alpha Mason, Alpha Wyatt , Alpha Nathan, Alpha Sloan, Luna Kasey, Luna Kat, Carter, Alpha Clause and I started walking to get out of that part and go home when we came upon the Forbidden Forest again.
"There's really no way around?! We still have to cross the Forbidden Forest to get home." I exclaimed with a groan as a frown fell on my brows.
"Yeah, what more danger would we meet in there again? Witches, Leprechauns, Giant monsters?" Luna Kat asked with a sigh.
"I'm sure that it won't be that bad," Alpha Clause reassured us, giving my hand that he was holding a comforting squeeze as he looked at the forest.
Alpha Nathan nodded as he added, "Yeah, those creatures wouldn't have survived for so long if there was so much evil in the forest. Besides, it's just a forest. We'll be fine!"
"It is just a forest..." I repeated as I thought of what happened inside it the first time that we entered the forest.
"What do you think about this?" Alpha Wyatt asked as he pointed his hand towards the Forest of gestured. "Should we go back?"
The rest of us stared at him blankly and Luna Kasey asked with a small frown on her brows, "Go back? Why would we want to go back when we can finally get out of here? Besides, our pack members need us."
"Then let's stop complaining and get through this together." Alpha Wyatt replied as he looked over at all of us, and we all nodded in agreement.
Alpha Mason sighed heavily before adding, "I know that we've already passed through the Forbidden Forest, but... I'm not really sure where we are right now. We have no map of this place and have no idea how to get home from here, so we might end up getting lost if we turn back to find another way. We just need to stick together and be alert as we oass through this forest again, alright?"
"Yeah!" Most of us answered except for Luna Ashley who was frowning as she rubbed her arms like she was genuine scared of going through the Forbidden Forest again. That was very unlike her since she was a manipulative and bossy person.
I would have felt sorry for her because I knew how it felt to be scared, but she wasn't exactly a nice person like I mentioned earlier. So I just couldn't find in it in me to feel for her and I knew that she definitely didn't like me. If I said I did felt sympathy for her then I would be lying because she has never been nice to me genuinely.
