He shifted into his wolf form at that moment and ran down the tunnel along with the other rogue wolves as they howled together. I glanced at Alpha Clause as I said, "They must be running to Alpha Ross."
He turned to look at me and nodded his head, "It seems so, let's follow them, but we need to be cautious about it so that they don't know we're trailing them."
"Yeah, that's sounds like a good idea." I replied as we started following them.
"They've been hiding out down here too," Alpha Mason growled, looking frustrated too since we've been chasing Alpha Ross all day.
Luna Kat nodded as she added, "Yeah, I didn't think we would find them here, but we saw them coming down the tunnel."
"Where is Nathan?" Luna Kasey asked us as she looked between Alpha Clause and I, looking worried.
"He's in the abandoned building with Carter, we left them to rest and guard the rogue wolves that were wounded there." Alpha Clause answered her before I could, so I nodded in response.
"But what are we going to do with the rogues after they become conscious again?" I asked him, feeling curious and worried at the same time.
"Let's let them go and send them back to where they came from, that is before Alpha Ross became rogue unless they want to join us." He answered me asa small worried frown fell on his brows.
"I support that idea too, once they leave Alpha Ross, they won't attack us again." Alpha Mason said with a nod, looking pleased with my Alpha mate's answer.
I nodded as I praised Alpha Clause with a smile on my lips, "Great idea, honey, you're always thinking ahead."
He glanced at me as his lips tugged up into a smile, "Of course, baby, I'm usually like that."
I laughed at his comment and shook my head at him, "I guess you are, honey, and that makes you even more attractive!"
"Okay, enough with the lovey doveyness and let's get going!" Luna Ashley exclaimed, looking annoyed.
Alpha Wyatt nodded as he supported his mate, "Yeah, we need to catch Alpha Ross before he gets away, and I'm sure that those rogues that we fought will let him know that we're coming."
"Sure, let's go, but we all know that you two are jealous of our lovey doveyness as your Luna mate puts it." Alpha Clause retorted with a playful smile as his lips.
Even though he was teasing them, I could tell that his comment hit home because Luna Ashley's face turned gloomy and Alpha Wyatt looked awkward. That made me remember that she wasn't his true mate, and why they seemed so distant from each other. Maybe Alpha Clause didn't know about the secret and didn't notice how far away they seem from each other. That must be why he made the joke.
Alpha Wyatt nodded as he said, lamely, "Ah, yes, you got us!"
We all laughed as we started walking through the tunnels and eventually, started running since we couldn't let them get away. Besides, we left the Mirror of Wisdom and our phones in our traveling bag which was with Carter. So we had to find Alpha Ross right now and end this madness. As we reached dthe end of the tunnel, I saw Alpha Ross and the few rogues that remained running quickly.
They turned around and saw we were headed straight for them. Seeing that we were almost caught up with them, Alpha Ross stopped which made his rogues stop too as they watched us warily.
"What do you want with me?" Alpha Ross shouted out angrily as he got closer to us, standing his ground and refusing to run. Great, that was what we wanted.
"You already know why!" Alpha Clause yelled back at him in a growl through clenched teeth as his brows furrowed in anger.
Alpha Ross looked angry too and growled, "Leave me alone! I promise I won't attack your pack again or try to take over the packs."
My Alpha mate shook his head, not believing him, neither did Alpha Mason, Alpha Sloan nor Luna Kat. I didn't believe him either as I looked at him suspiciously, knowing that he only wanted to use that excuse get away. We would never let him go when he was a big threat to us all.
"I just want to be left alone," Alpha Ross said in a pleading tone. "Don't harm me or my pack of rogues. Just leave and forget about everything that I did before."
Alpha Clause looked even more pissed off as he narrowed his eyes at him and his hands clenched into fists, "You attacked our pack members yesterday. There are no more warnings for you. We can't let you go!"
The other Alphas nodded their heads in agreement. They were on one accord with each other that we needed to stop him immediately. Alpha Clause then walked over to Alpha Ross and grabbed onto his neck, choking him. "We will decide what we would do with you and not you. If you try to hurt any member of the our pack or any pack ever again, we won't hesitate to kill you or even your entire rogue pack. However, we must punish you and keep you locked up for what you've been doing to us."
Alpha Ross clenched his jaw too as he growled and grabbed Alpha Clause's hands that was around his neck, "Just because I'm pleading with you to let me go doesn't mean that I'm going to let you imprison me or torture me!"
He threw a kick at my Alpha mate and as he stepped back to avoid it, Alpha Ross used that opportunity to turn around and run away. His rogues ran after him along with Alpha Wyatt and Alpha Mason. Alpha Clause frowned, rubbing his light bearded chin as he seemed to think deeply and I glanced at him as I said, "You were right, we need to rest before we continue looking for Alpha Ross. I doubt that they would be able to catch him since he's one slippery bastard."
