This chapter is about Grace entirely, do not skip, things are about to get spicy!
Grace ended her phone call with Gideon after telling him she was in the supermarket and after she finished shopping, she'd come to his place.
Grace walked into the supermarket, finding the vegetable section to get some vegetables when she bumped into something hard or someone.
"I'm so sorry," she muttered, not looking up as she zipped her purse.
She finally looked up and her eyes met with someone she never expected to See.
"Austin!" The name came out as a shock to her.
She took a look at him, a lot has changed in his facial expression showing he was ageing.
She couldn't forget his face even if he was a hundred, the same face that made her heart skip those years.
He was in a black sweatpant and white best. His body was more built up than before and it looked like he added an inch to his height.
Her eyes were tearing up again, she had seen him before but they've never met one on one other than she seeing him and hiding.
"Grace!" Austin called her name in shock.
Upon hearing her name, she found her legs as she forgot what she wanted to buy, she ran out of the supermarket with him following behind her.
Thanks to his long legs, he caught onto her, holding unto her arm but she fought for release.
"Let go of me! Let go of me! Let go of me!" She screamed.
Austin placed his hands over her mouth, covering them from creating attention; he dragged her to a more quiet place.
"Grace, will you please calm down?" He said.
Upon hearing his voice, she cried more. The same voice she craved for those years, the voice she wanted to hear before she slept and when she woke up.
He was staring down at her with an emotion she couldn't decipher. The way he looked at her made her insecure.
She remembered how she shopped every week just to look good for him; now she was dressed in a black jean trouser and white shirt although it wasn't that bad.
She laughed at herself as she thought of her foolishness as a teenager falling in love with someone who had an ulterior motive.
"What do you want from me?" She asked as soon as he removed his hands from her mouth.
"I want to talk." He replied.
When she noticed his hold on her wasn't as firm as before, she used that as an opportunity to run away but he held her back from running, making her shout.
"What do you want?!" She exclaimed. "Haven't you done enough? You got what you wanted right? You took my virginity, got me pregnant and went away resulting in me being chased away from home!" She spoke on top of my voice with tears in her eyes.
His eyes showed confusion as if he didn't understand her.
"What are you saying?" He questioned in a way Grace thought he was feigning confusion.
"Wow! Now you're the confused one, let me go, what do you want from me?! Do you want sex to leave me alone like you did before?" She yelled.
"Guess what? The naive inexperienced Grace is gone, replaced with an independent strong and experienced woman." She shouted.
"If you badly want someone to play again, go look for some slut okay." She added.
"Oh, I'm also forgetting, after ruining the poor innocent girl's life..." She trailed off. "What am I even saying?" She spat out.
"I knew it was hard to believe, for you to like me. I was just the same age as your younger sister and dating me would be like dating your sister." She added and the tears rolled down her cheek.
"I was so stupid, i should have known, you were so good to be true, i should have known you were so young to be faithful, i should have known you only wanted one thing." She spoke while hitting him on his chest and he did nothing but give her fake sympathy, so she thought.
"I'm sorry! But..." She cuts him off.
"No! " She stopped him. "Just stop your act okay, you damaged mine and think you can build yours, but I'm sure your marriage will never find happiness." She spat out with venom.
"I pity the woman that got married to you, because the pain you caused me will surely find its way to your door." She added.
"But I'm not ma..." He tried to speak up but Grace shut him up.
"Shut up! I'm speaking, let me get one fact straight to you, stay away from me. You are the person if given a second chance I would pray I never met." She spat out, word for word.
"Grace!" He called while she was about to walk away.
"Where is the child?" He asked.
Grace turned around, she looked at him, who told him he has the right to ask?! She thought.
"I terminated it, i can't carry your curse in my womb." She spat out.
I'm sorry my baby precious, I would never want to terminate you but I have to do this, you know I love you. Grace spoke within her.
The expression on Austin's face showed her pain and Grace loved that.
"You..you..you did what?!" He asked, he looked angry. Grace has never seen him angry before but what right does he have? He left me! She said within her.
This is all a phase Grace, don't fall for it. She told herself.
"You heard me well, I terminated it." With that last word said, she walked away.
