It was Christmas Eve and Precious had been doing nothing but sorting out Bethels' clothes and rearranging his clothes back in his wardrobe.
The reason he had punished her was because she wasn't speaking to him and was giving him attitude. So to get her to speak to him, he did so.
He felt guilty and bad for what Beauty did to her and he didn't like it.
Even while struggling to sort out the clothes and out them back into his wardrobe, she said nothing. Bethel walked towards her.
"What are you doing?" She asked Bethel who was busy bringing out the already arranged clothes inside the wardrobe.
He smirked, "I give orders here, go wash the clothes I bring out."
"What is your problem?!" She yelled. "They are clean!" She lamented.
Bethel smiled, this was the Precious he wanted.
"Yes!" He smirked.
"It's past ten nitwit!" She spoke frustrated.
"Who cares Precious?!" He huffed. "I don't care and besides sleep here for the night, I might need you for emergencies." He said.
All Precious wanted to do was castrate him and feed him to the vultures in the village.
"When I need something even as late as 2am, you will be there to assist." He added and all she wanted to do that moment was to slap him.
"You are a wicked heartless spoilt brat!" She muttered but not enough for him to hear.
"Now, could you please leave my room and get this stuff done already, I need to sleep."
Precious packed with her hands as much clothes she could gather and went to the laundry. She muttered cusses as she made her way into the laundry.
Bethel couldn't sleep, not with Precious in his room sleeping on the cold ground uncomfortably, he felt bad. He thought of ways to frustrate her although it was because he was lonely and needed her attention.
It was the last twelve in the night and he wanted to hear her voice before he slept.
Precious groaned when she heard her name being called in the middle of the night. It didn't sit well with her mother when she found out Bethel said she should sleep in his room and on the floor.
Precious yawned as she stretched her arms. "What is it!" She asked.
"I need water," he said.
What?! Couldn't he walk to the water dispenser himself?! She scoffed.
"Really?" She scoffed. "Whatever!"
She walked to the water dispenser and got him water. She walked back to him, giving him the glass of water in her hand.
She sighed, she was tired and she ached. He gave her back the cup as soon as he was done drinking the water.
She dropped the cup and went back to sleep. "Not so fast, precious," Bethel called agitating Precious.
"I can't fall asleep, so stay awake until I do." He added.
"Are you a real jerk?! That's your problem because I am really tired right now. You won't be the one to wake up so early to do work. And if you can't fall asleep that's not my business, your guilty conscience won't let you be because you are wicked. Precious spoke emphasizing on her every word.
"That's your problem Precious because you work for me and not the other way round." He spat out.
"I can't be nice to a low life like you, who the hell do you think you are exchanging words with me?!" He said out.
His words pierced deep through Precious like a knife slicing through her skin. Her eyes glittered with tears.
She said nothing as she stared at him with hurt. His words hurt her and she was at fault.
Maybe she shouldn't have raised her voice at him, she thought but he hurt her.
She walked out toward his balcony not minding the cold breeze that sent goosebumps on her skin.
"Come inside, it's cold," Bethel said standing by his door.
"I don't think that's your problem too, is it?" Precious spoke sarcastically. She didn't want to see her, he had hurt her enough.
"It's really cold outside Precious, you don't wanna catch cold," he said with concern laced on his tone but she didn't mind it as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Precious!" He called her name.
"Leave.me.alone." She spat out words after word.
"Come inside Precious!" He demanded pulling her by the arm back into the room.
"Let me go!" She said sternly to king her arms from his hold.
Soon, she was pulled forcefully towards him and before she knew it, his lips were on hers.
Bethel held unto her forcefully claiming her lips. He shuddered as his lips touched hers. He has been wanting to do that for a very long time and the feeling of having her lips on his was firetic.
He loved it. Precious was shocked as her eyes went wide open. It didn't take up to another second before she gathered enough courage to push him.
Her heart was beating fast, she would have slapped him if he had done this some months back but she couldn't find her hands to slap him at that moment.
She ran off into the room and out of the room.
She placed her hand on her lip as soon as she was walking down the stairs, his lips were warm, she thought. She loved it.
What was he doing to her? Does she like Bethel? Those thoughts clouded her mind.
"Do I like Bethel?!"
