Precious had managed to gather enough strength to stand up and walk again.
She kept walking like a lost puppy in a foreign land, she didn't know where she was going to and she didn't care.
Precious opened her eyes due to the ray of sunlight directing its energy on her.
She didn't recall talking asleep on a bench and she began to wonder how she came here.
"Precious!" She heard a familiar feminine voice scream which she recognised to be her mother; running towards her.
When Grace got to Precious, she wrapped her arms around her with tears in her eyes.
"Do you want me to die?!" She cried taking a closer look at Precious. "I have been searching for you throughout last night.
"I'm so sorry Precious, forgive me!" Grace cried out.
It was then memories of last night resurfaced on Previous mind; her mother's regret on her birth to her breakup with Bethel. The year had just begun and she was going through so much already, she thought.
"Thank goodness you are safe!" Gideon spoke as soon as he saw her.
"Precious!" Grace cried again wrapping her arms around Precious making her cry too.
"Come let's get you home. You slept in this cold place, don't you know it's risky and dangerous for a girl to sleep outside." Grace spoke looking closely to see if there were any bruises on her body.
Precious was hurt but she stood on her feet, following them back to Gideon's house.
Las night was Bethels' last night in Nigeria. His father had willingly allowed him to say his goodbye to Precious which turned out to be a mess different from his original plans.
After Precious mother left the room and he got drowned in his thoughts, he went to see my father.
"How could you Bethel? You will do as I say and that's final!" Bidemi yelled.
"You never told me you were interested in getting a new wife for yourself father." Bethel spoke sarcastically.
"Bethel!" Bidemi raised his hands to slap Bethel but stopped midway.
Bethel scoffed, "Go on! Hit me! What are you waiting for?! Your business made you so blind that you would destroy my life for it right?" Bethel yelled.
Bethel was really disappointed in his father, never for once had his father tried raising his hand on him. He was hurt that his father had wanted to do so all because of his business.
"You should just get married and father your work!" Bethel yelled.
"Fine! You don't want to marry Beauty?, I accept. But you won't also marry that girl or date her." He spat out with frustration, raking his hands through his hair.
"Get ready, you are leaving the country tomorrow." He added with anger.
"I'm not going anywhere!" Bethel yelled.
"Shut up! If you don't want to marry Beauty you will leave the country, that way I will not destroy that girl and her mother. But if you refuse to, I will destroy them in a way that there will be nowhere for their corpse to be on the surface of the earth." He spat out with venom.
Bethel thought to myself, if he did not accept, he'd ruin precious. He could actually tell her to wait for him in the future but if her life is ruined now, he'd die of guilt, he thought.
"Fine! You win, I will go but let me see this night for the last time, and I promise I will go willingly." Bethel told him.
"You can go. Don't play funny Bethel, if you misbehave i will know. Think of the girl." He said.
Before Bethel left his premises, he told his father, "Today I lost my father." He spat out and left.
He knew if his father was still the same person, he'd be touched by his words.
Bethel was disheartened, his relationship with Precious wasn't even up to a month and it had gotten destroyed already.
His bags were in the car already, he was preparing to leave for the airport.
He took a look at the mansion once more before entering the car.
While Precious, Grace and Gideon walked back to Gideon's car, they almost got hit by a car.
"What the hell?!" Grace yelled at the Jeep driver.
It was then Precious realised, she walked all the way from banana island to Reeve road in ikoyi.
They were around the roundabout that led to copa road when the Incident occurred.
The driver was reversing and that was how he almost hit them.
"I'm so sorry!" the driver said as soon as he came out from his jeep.
"Grace!"
"Austin!" They both said at the same time with surprise evident on their face.
Bethel stared at the man who she saw at Nike art gallery and then it clicked to her, he was the Austin her mother knew and her father.
"Come on Let's go precious!" Grace ushered as she dragged Precious with her.
Gideon didn't move as he kept staring at Austin.
"Grace wait!" Austin yelled.
"No stay away!" Gideon warned with a stern voice. Grace ran away, not wanting to hear anymore.
"Listen to me first!" Austin shouted.
"Please I need to speak to her," Austin begged Gideon, knowing well that he was his only help in talking to Grace.
