CHAPTER 51
DINAH POV
"Dinah, I think I just saw your guy!"
Dinah heard Tessa exclaim as she came inside her room.
"My guy? Which guy?" She asked eyebrows arched already in wonder.
The only guy she could say she had right now was Mikey, and Mikey couldn't come to the orphanage not because of anything, but well he just didn't like coming, and his outfit alone wouldn't even give him a security pass into the orphanage.
"Christian of course silly." Tessa said and Dinah just gave her stupid look.
"What do you mean Christian's here? My Christian is here?" She asked not believing her friend one bit.
Tessa scoffed mocking sarcastically, "He's not yours yet, stop staking your claim already..." She paused trailing of and then added, "Well yes, and stop giving me that look, you know I wouldn't use this kind of thing to joke with you."
"Huh!" Dinah exclaimed unbelievably.
"Well, duh... I know you don't believe me now but I know what I'm saying. I actually saw him with an older woman I don't know. She looked like his mom and they were headed to the head matron's office."
"Really? For what?" Dinah questioned Tessa who just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I was at the receptionist table earlier and managed to peep at the record they both signed while they were still there."
"Like seriously Tessa talk to me. Hope this not one of your numerous plans or pranks rather?"
"No of course it's not. I'm serious here. You know I wouldn't joke with this kind of information. I'm telling you in your best interest. They were dressed corporately though, him and the woman were on suits and all, looking formal you know. Like they were on an errand or something, I don't know."
As Tessa kept talking, different scenarios and thoughts ran through Dinah's mind.
Why was Christian coming here?
Why would he be dressed corporately as Tessa had claimed?
What was his purpose here?
"The elderly woman he came with, do you know her like is she one of the matrons in the orphanage?" Dinah asked.
"No, no I told you it was just an older woman. If she was a matron of course I would have said so. Maybe she is his mother, because they did look alike I don't know and he was smiling at her in an intimate way."
"What the hell is Christian even doing here? Or is he here to see Sara?" Dinah said out loud and Tessa just kept quiet.
"Where's Miranda?" Dinah asked again, "I don't know where she went off to. She got a call from one of her boyfriend's and she left since morning, she's not yet back." Tessa replied.
"And she didn't even care to tell me?" Dinah questioned and continued again, "Let's forget about her for now. Follow me, we need to know why Christian came here today. And if it's for that little bitch, she's going to be so sorry when I found out." She cursed angrily standing up from her bed.
Tessa nodding her head, stood up from the bed to and followed her.
Together, they left the room to God knows where."

CHRISTIAN
Christian and his mom sat patiently in the head matron's office as they waited for her.
With the help of his favorite matron in the orphanage he had been directed to the office immediately, without even having to wait at the visitor's area.
Thanking the matron profusely and signing the visitor's permit, they had walked briskly and sharply and into the office.
When they had entered the head matron had not been inside, and offering them some refreshments, the secretary had told them to wait some minutes for her as she would be with them shortly.
Now though Christian's anxiety and nervousness was up a bit, and it seemed his mother was able to notice it as she placed her hands on his palm and said, "Son, What's the matter?"
"Nothing... Nothing mom nothing."
"Your palms are shaking, and even though this place is cool and we'll air conditioned, you're sweating profusely." His mom said amused looking at him with a smile.
"Mom..." He trailed of stopping as she cut in.
"I know why you're like this son. You're nervous right?"
Christian, knowing he couldn't hide anything from his mother again, and sighing finally answered, "Not just that mom, I'm afraid. What if she doesn't give us any answer or reasonable response. What if she doesn't allow Sara to leave with me? What would I do? I can't bear to be distant from her anymore."
"Calm down son, calm down. Don't jump into conclusions just yet okay. That's why I followed you here, because I know this would catch up with you and you might end up chickening out. Just be cool, calm and collected okay. I'll speak to this woman, you'll speak to her too and we'll see her response. Besides you have all the things you need to persuade her to free Sara from this orphanage. You're not a young boy anymore and I'm not a young woman too. I'm a mother and I trust she would be one, do just chill okay. We'll sort this out through." His mother, said to him reassuringly and he just nodded, trying to calm his shaking palms.
Just as they finished talking, the door to the office opened and then a young lady stepped in the office.
Walking towards them with a smile, Christian and his mother kept mute as they watched the lady take her seat and faced them squarely with a smile.
"Hello, I'm Mrs Patrick. How may I help you?"

The head matron Mrs Patrick was young for starters.
Christian had expected a much older woman, almost like his mother's age, but the lady sitting in front of them, smiling with a much youthful face was someone who could be in her late twenties or early thirties.
Finally his mother broke the silence, by stretching out her hand for a handshake as she said, "Hello Mrs Patrick or is it Miss Patrick, I am Mrs Smith."
"Welcome to my office Mrs Smith. It's Mrs Patrick though. I'm guessing you expected an older woman right?" She asked laughing and Christian and his mom just smiled lost for words.
"Well, I am 38, and happily married with two kids. Let's save that talk for later, what brings you to the orphanage today? You want to adopt someone?" She asked them and on cue Mrs Smith replied, "Yes, we want to adopt someone."
With a silent prayer in his heart, and his anxiety slowly leaving him, Christian watched as his mother began talking about Sara, to the matron.
