Akash’s P.O.V.
Taking leave from our parents, we entered the airport as they bade us for our honeymoon trip.
I was being all clueless about what actually was going on. Ehan’s phone was switched off. Neither Mack nor Rivan was attending my calls.
I could feel something was definitely wrong. But I wasn’t being able express my thoughts to Alina who seemed to be all happy walking beside me.
The chain of my thought got cut off as my phone started ringing all of a sudden. When I saw the caller ID was of Mack, I immediately received the call and before he could say something, I got uttering, “Where were you, Mack? I have been trying your phone since long.”
When he didn't seem to get uttering anything, I got uttering again, "Mack? What happened? Is everything alright?”
He uttered while stuttering, “Akash, Ehan is in ICU.”
My words got stuck in my throat as the bitter reality hit my mind...

My wedding day all of a sudden turned into something I could have never thought of.
‘All because of my fault’ I could have convinced myself with this but I was just feeling bad for Alina who got to suffer with me.
She was sitting beside Naira.
Naira was sitting all silently without even blinking her eyes and without any tear in her eyes with Alina and Stella beside her, trying to console her that everything would be okay.
Mack and Rivan were sitting in a corner being all teary. When I asked them about Ehan, Rivan got uttering in a lower tone, “He wasn’t taking a breath when the doctors took him inside with blood all over his face.”
I looked all around as we all were outside of the ICU. Ehan was inside there. Doctors treating him. A nurse got out of there running and before we could ask her something, she got out of our sight only to appear again as we saw her running inside the ICU with a bottle of blood in hand.
It was past midnight and it’s already been three hours and the operation was still going on. I couldn’t decide whether I should inform uncle Kevin or not.
After another one hour, the light of the operation theatre went off, the doctors got out. In no moment except Naira we all were in front of them with similar hopeful and pleading expression on our faces.
But when one of the doctor got uttering, “Mr. Sinha got badly injured his head. We tried our best but Mr. Sinha isn’t responding to any of our treatment. We are afraid if he didn’t make it to get back to his sense within 48 hours, then he might get to have brain death. We are sorry.” our faces fell.
Words automatically got out of my throat, “It can’t be.”
Uttering, “We are sorry.”, the doctors went away and I turned back to Naira.
She was still in the same position sitting on the bench like she was in great shock. I wasn’t getting what to do. The whole corridor was occupied by a pin drop silence and heavy air.
After some time getting myself together, I got near Naira. Kneeling in front of her, I spoke up, “Keep faith just. Nothing is gonna happen to him. He will be back to be with you. You know why? Because that idiot can’t handle failure. He will this battle of life and de..death too.”
I tried to comfort her but at some point, found my voice trembling like I was trying to convince myself.
For once Naira just looked at me all blankly and then again turned to the floor.
Alina looked at me with an assuring gaze and nodding at her sadly, I got near Mack and Rivan.
In trembling voices, Mack got uttering, “Shouldn’t we inform Uncle Kevin?”
We gave each other a confused and fearful look. We all knew how much Uncle Kevin loved Ehan, his son. If something like this got into his hearing, there was a huge possibility of his getting a heart attack.

Author’s P.O.V.
After One Day
When one day got passed but there was no recovery sign of Ehan, they couldn’t get to avoid this matter to keep hiding from Kevin being afraid anymore.
Akash’s parents and Kevin got to the hospital as soon as they heard the news of Ehan.
As expected Kevin almost got a heart attack seeing Ehan lying in the ICU room all lifeless and hearing doctor.
He got admitted into the hospital and now was in a cabin just right beside the ICU ward. He kept asking about Ehan every few minutes and getting all restless.
Being unable to handle him, doctors made him to get some sleep by injecting drugs in his saline.
Time got passing like this and when it was almost 48 hours and there was no recovery sign of Ehan, outside of the ICU turned into an mourning place.
At some point Naira got entering into the cabin. Nurses tried to stop her but seeing her condition, they got silent and left the cabin leaving them alone there.
Naira sat at the edge of the bed staring at Ehan who was lying lifelessly.
For few moments she couldn’t get to utter anything and her eyes were fixed on Ehan’s face. An oxygen mask covering it...
Words got coming out of her throat at some point effortlessly..
“I had parents whom l loved wholeheartedly. But one day they left me all alone. After losing them, I had a hard time. Then you entered my life, made me dream and live again but at some point, you also left me making me feel alone once again.
That day I promised myself that I would live a life where I won’t have to lose anyone again, where I don’t have to dream of the future burying my feelings within deep down. Ever since then I have never had a comfortable sleep which made me used to sleeping pills. I pretended to have a fun and happy life with my new family.
That’s how I lived until you again showed up in my life.
With your one say, “I love you, Ira.”, the feelings, I buried deep down got awaken involuntarily in no moment but I couldn’t muster up the courage to face it anymore.
But now I have changed, Ehan. Even if I have to worry about losing you every moment, even if it gets my heart broken again, even if it remain as only a dream that can’t come true, I would like to sincerely dream of that future once again.
So please live. I want to say what you wanted me to say. I love you Ehan. I still love only you....”
