The shock on their faces when they saw Michael made him give a smile of victory. Kelvin walked up to his dad and said, "Dad, why did you come here without letting me know. You know you should be resting."
"I know that son but don't worry, I am fine and my health is ok." His dad reassured him.
Kelvin turned to look at Michael who was glaring at him. "Why is he here?" he whispered to his dad.
"Oh! I am officially making him a model here."
"What?" Kelvin and Nora asked.
Nora looked at Kelvin wondering why he would be surprised his friend is becoming a model, wasn't this part of their plan to humiliate her? why then is he acting surprised? she asked herself.
"I thought you'd be happy to have your friend around with you." his dad said surprised to see his son didn't have the expression he thought he would.
"I am happy dad, just surprised that's all." he smiled.
His father was ok with the response. "Make sure to treat him well and teach him everything he needs to know." Mr. Owen left before Kelvin could complain or say anything.
He turned to look at Michael but Michael's eyes were fixed on the lady in the blue gown. He couldn't believe his ex was this beautiful.
"Young man, please come to his side." The photographer gestured for Michael to move to Nora's side. " He studied Diego, Nora, and Michael for a while before deciding what photos to take. After much thinking he said. "Diego, I need you to hold her hand like you are trying to stop her from leaving and Nora, I need you to look at Michael, fix your gaze on him. Look at him with so much passion and love."
Nora's eyes widened in shock. How can she look at the guy who broke her heart with love and passion, does that even work? she asked herself.
Diego grabbed her hand, making her turn to face him. He could see that she wasn't happy about it. Michael touched her face, turning her face to face him. "The photographer said you should look at me, not him."
Nora couldn't tell if she should be angry or flustered all she knew was she needed to get out of here. Maybe if she plays along, the photoshoot will end and she can get away from this awkward situation.
"Look I'm ready to take the shots now." the photographer announced. Nora tried her best to look at him but she couldn't. Immediately, the light from the camera shone, she looked away making the photographer take a blurry photo.
"I am sorry." she apologized.
"It's fine. I am sure you are flustered to be standing next to a hottie." the photographer said smiling as he deleted the picture he took.
"excuse me..." Michael raised his hand.
"yes."
"I have an idea and I think it would look great." the photographer folded his arms as he watched Michael demonstrate his idea. "What if I..." he grabbed Nora by the waist and pulled her close to himself. "...pull her close like this?."
The photographer studied the position of the three of them. Nora in his arms and Diego standing there with folded arms looked so great and beautiful. "I like it." He got his camera ready to snap.
Nora stood frozen in his arms. She was able to look at him longer than she ever did since the shoot began. Her heart was raising and she knew he could feel it too. She didn't know why but she thought about the good times they had before he broke up with her and those good moments put a smile on her face even though it was a slight smile.
The photographer who was waiting for that smile, captured it immediately before it disappeared. "Nice!" he looked at the picture and it turned out amazing.
Kelvin thanked the photographer. "I will have it sent to you and I will be sure to get the photos ready." the photographer said.
"Thanks, Stanley." Kelvin shook his hand before he let Stanley leave.
Michael still had his hand grasped around Nora's waist despite her efforts to pull away from him, she couldn't. "We need to talk." he left her waist and held her hand. He was about to drag her out of the room when Kelvin came and held his hand. He looked at Michael and said, "If there is anyone in this room who needs to talk, it's you and I." He pulled Nora to his side while dragging Michael out.
Diego quickly came over to meet Nora.
"Are you okay?" he asked because he knew how surprised she was when Michael came in.
"Why are you asking that?" she lashed out at him. "Wasn't this your plan? isn't this why you wanted me to work here, so you can humiliate me?"
Diego was surprised at her outburst. He had no idea what she was talking about. "what are you even saying, Nora?" he asked.
"I knew there was something wrong but I chose to ignore it because I trusted you but now, I know I was stupid for trusting you." She turned to leave but Diego held her hand and pulled her back.
"Tell me the truth Nora, who is he?" Diego asked.
She jerked her hand away from his. "No one you should concern yourself with and so you know, I quit!" she carried her bag and left the company.
Diego stood there starstruck. How can she quit?
He had no other choice than to run after her.
Kelvin pulled Michael to a corner with his hand still held onto his wrist. Michael looked at his writs and Kelvin understood and left him. "I will cut right to the chase. " Kelvin began. "What are you doing here?"
Michael smiled. "What do you mean by what? didn't you hear what your father said? I am a model here." he reminded Kelvin.
"Why here? you could have told him to give you a job anywhere else, why here?"
Michael moved closer to Kelvin and said, "Why? are you scared?" he asked.
Kelvin looked at Michael hoping he could tell what he was plotting but he couldn't. Michael pulled away from him. "You stopped coming to check on us, I was a little worried. I thought it would be better if I stay close to you and when I found out you took over your father's company, I just knew it was time for me also to make a change, I don't see anything bad in that. If you could change, so can I." he smiled.
"Mike, I won't let you do anything to ruin my father's company."
"I won't do anything to ruin uncle's company as well but one thing I won't do is sit back and watch some guy touch my girlfriend all in the name of modeling."
"Which girlfriend?" Kelvin asked. "The one you made a mockery of?? or do you think I don't know you are the one responsible for the scandal??" he asked as Michael's eyes opened wide in shock.
