"You will get an answer as soon as we get an answer Drishti. What is your relationship with Maheswari here??" Vihaan snapped
Drishti cracked up nervously.
Shravan's eyes widened as realisation dawned upon him.
She had mentioned her parent's name.
Vihaan and Diya. He had assumed them to be Vihaan and Diya Singhanias.
If Vihaan Malhotra is her father, how did she become Drishti Singhania?
"Wait a second. What is happening here?" Shravan asked
"That's what I want to know Maheswari," Vihaan said in a clipped tone
Shravan turned to Drishti
"Do you mind explaining Drishti?"
"Uh well" Drishti twitched uncomfortably
"Did you think you could get your hands on the island if you trapped my daughter?" Vihaan growled
Drishti gasped
She turned around to Shravan with hands on her hips.
"Did you marry me thinking I would give you D Love?" She asked and Shravan stared at her in bewilderment
"What the hell? If you forgot ,let me refresh it for you. I didn't even knew who I was marrying until the muh dikhaayi ritual" Shravan pointed out Drishti smiled sheepishly at him
"Oh yes. It skipped my mind"
"Drishti" Vihaan called again
"What?? Oh yeah. Paa you are misunderstanding. I will tell you in detail" Drishti scrambled towards her father.
She took a seat next to him and explained in detail what happened.
"What?? You got married?? But I wanted to dance at your wedding" Damini cried earning an eye roll in return
Vihaan Malhotra groaned
"Honey, how do you always manage to get into trouble?"
Shravan chuckled remembering Drishti saying the same thing when he asked about how her parents would react.
"Something funny Maheswari??" Vihaan asked raising one eyebrow.
"No. I just remembered Drishti saying the same words once" Shravan said with a shrug.
"You are Drishti Singhania, right? Not Drishti Malhotra" Isha asked confused with the happenings
"I'm both," Drishti said with attitude.
"Who are Rahul and Anjali. You performed pooja for them yesterday. You said they are your parents" Shravan asked
"They were my parents. They passed away twelve years back" Drishti mumbled
"Oh. So the Malhotra's adopted you when your real parents passed away?" Mithran asked trying to connect the dots
"No. The Singhanias were my adoptive parents. Malhotras are my real parents" Drishti said making the other three frown.
"If your real parents are alive, why did you get adopted in the first place?" Shravan asked
"And as far as I know, your parents got married ten years back," Isha said confused.
Drishti grinned.
"That's because I'm their baby of sin" Drishti crowed excitedly
"Drishti, you are our baby of love," Diya said with a disapproving frown.
"No maa! That sounds so boring. Baby of sin sounds cool. Just like me" Drishti proclaimed
The door opened again and Siddharth peered inside the cabin
"Coast clear??" He asked and Drishti narrowed her eyes
Then he noticed Shravan and company and gasped.
"Uh I think I will come back later," he said and was about to leave.
"Siddhu. Come inside. We know" Diya said and a sheepish Siddhu came in
Siddhu sat next to Diya and threw his arms around her shoulders
"You have become even more beautiful than the last time I saw you Diya. What is the secret of this evergreen beauty??" Siddhu shamelessly flirted with his best friend's mother
"Santoor" Drishti answered sarcastically
"Stop being jealous of your mother D. It's not her fault that she is prettier than you," Siddhu said
"Stop flirting with my wife. How many times do I have to tell you." Vihaan snapped much to the amusement of the newcomers?
"Like father like daughter. Both of them are jealous" Siddhu whispered to Diya in a conspirational tone loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Now now young man! It's time you explained how my daughter got into this mess. She was all fine until she got your phone call right before our trip" Vihaan asked and Siddhu let out a dramatic sigh
"What to do Diya. Your daughter is a train of troubles. Anyways, now she is Shravan bhai's headache. We escaped" he said and gave a hi-fi to Damini.
"Paa. He is the reason why I got into trouble. Only if he had come to get me from there, this wouldn't have happened" Drishti transferred the entire blame onto Siddharth
"Excuse me! You are the one who insisted that you are no damsel in distress"
"I said and you just left me there. Wah Siddhu wah. Friendship goal" Drishti said sarcastically.
"Yes D. It's my fault that for once I believed that you are as smart as you always claim. A mistake I will not make again" Siddharth conceded
Drishti's nostrils flared in anger.
"I'm smart. If I weren't smart I would have been married to that jerk of an ex-fiance. Look at me, married to one of the young hotshot billionaires in India. Now tell me aren't I smart" Drishti asked smugly
Shravan threw a pointed look at Isha who gaped at Drishti.
"Is this what happened on the wedding day too??" Isha asked
Drishti frowned in confusion but Siddhu caught on immediately.
"Yes. She is not a gold digger. Don't fret" Siddhu said and Drishti demanded to know what they are talking about.
As Siddhu regaled what he got to know from Shravan and Mithran, Drishti bristled.
"You thought I'm a gold digger. Me?? Me?? Drishti Sighania / Drishti Malhotra/ Drishti Maheswari?" Drishti asked
"Honey! Calm down. Anyone who heard your words would think so. And she was just looking out for her friend. Wouldn't you react the same way if it was you Siddhu in their place" Diya asked and that calmed Drishti?
"So you are not in love with Shravan??" Drishti asked and all three friends looked at her in horror.
"No!! Why would you think so??" Isha asked appalled
"Uh. You hated me for no obvious reason. So I assumed you were in love with him" Drishti said sheepishly
"Uh About the deal," Shravan said trying to get back to the purpose of their visit.
Mithran shot him a look of disbelief
'You just met your in-laws. And you want to talk business??' conveyed Mithran's eyes.
Shravan shrugged and looked back at Vihaan Malhotra.
"We are not selling D Love Shravan. Not at any cost" It was Drishti who answered him
"Just have a look at the presentation. And then make a decision" Shravan said
"No means No. D Love is special for us Maheswari" Vihaan Malhotra said.
"Enough of business discussions. I want to know what decision you both have made about this marriage" Divyanshi butted in.
