Drishti came out of the shower in her grey shorts and cream colored camisole ,water dripping from her hair.
Shravan stared at her and his mouth went dry seeing her half naked form.
When will he get used to this?? He thought.
How is a man supposed to control himself when his wife walks around looking donwright sexy.
He saw her taking a bottle of lotion and poring it onto her palms. She then rubbed her hands together and started applying the lotion on her long legs.
Shravan gulped hard. He had maintained a celebate life for 26 years. Even when he was at Harvard ,where casual flings and affairs are a common thing ,he had remained indifferent.
That what is it about Drishti that pulls his like a magnet
Like a moth to the flame.
"I'm in love with the shape of you.
We push and pull like a magnet do
Although my heart is falling too
I'm in love with your body" he heard Drishti humming while applying lotion on her swan like neck.
Why God?? Why?? Didn't she get any other song to humm
Shravan groaned out loud earning Drishti's attention.
Drishti looked up at him and sucked in a breath seeing the hot passionate look in his eyes.
"What??" Drishti asked with her heart in her mouth
"Cover up" he said and threw the blanket at her
"What??" She asked pulling the blanket off her.
"Either cover up with the blanket or wear something decent" Shravan ordered and Drishti fumed.
"And who the hell are you to order me around.I will wear whatever I like." Drishti said
"Do you realise how provoking your dressing is??" Shravan asked
"You are just like your grandfather. Stuck in some eighteenth century where people believe the fault is always with a girl's dressing style." Drishti accused
"What?? That's not what I meant" Shravan said
"That's exactly what you said. The age old adage 'the woman tempted me'. For your information ,I have always been wearing modern dresses. These are the night dresses I feel comfortable in. No one here complained before" Drishti said
"You have been wearing these dresses outside this room too?? In front of Abhay too??" Shravan asked and Drishti's lips thinned in annoyance.
Shravan breathed in and out. He is being unreasonable ,he realised. What she wears is her wish. If it is testing his control ,that is something he have to deal with. There is no use pointing a finger at her.
"Okay cool! I over reacted" he said raising his hands up in surrender.
"I know. I'm always right" Drishti crowed walking towards him ,but she tripped on the carpet and lurched forwards
Shravan on a reflex held her and both of them tumbled on to the bed
"Uff..." Shravan muttered feeling the blow
He could feel her hot breath against his throat and feel her body against his through the thin material of her camisole.
Drishti stared at him feeling the heat of his body.
Damn!! He is so hot!!
Her breathing quickened at the close proximity.
Shravan raised his one hand and gently tucked the strands of her hair behing her ears. His other hands was secured around her.
"You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen" Shravan said huskily ,staring into her emerald green eyes
The said eyes twinkiled at the compliment
"Like pure emeralds" Shravan said and smile bloomed on Drishti's face ,making her dimples prominent
"And your smile!!" He caressed her dimples
"My smile???" She prompted
"Your smile lits up your face. It lits up the whole room." Shravan said in a daze
"D. You left your bag in my - Oops sorry" Siddhu who ,as usual barged into Drishti's room stopped short seeing them in an intimate position
The couple sprang apart from each other in horror.
"It's not what it looks like" Drishti uttered the cliche dialogue and Siddhu looked at her in amusement.
"My mistake D. I think the fact that you are married is yet to sink into my brain. Anyways ,here's your bag. I'm leaving. Lock the door and you can carry on whatever you were doing" Siddhu said cheekily and Drishti threw a pillow at him angrily.
Siddhu dodged it laughing walked out of the room.
As he reached the door. He turned around and shot another cheeky look at them
"What??" Drishti asked warily ,sensing whatever he was going to say is going to be rubbish
"I'm not ready to be an uncle yet. Keep that in mind" he said and ran away.
The atmosphere in the room was very awkward.
Shravan cursed himself for losing control.
Its all because of her witchy eyes. She is casting a spell on him
"I will go see if Rajesh kaka is here??" Shravan mumbled and walked out of the room in a hurry to get away from the temptation.
He soon returned back with his duffel bag and made a bee line to the washroom without sparing another glance at Drishti.
Drishti huffed in annoyance seeing him going back to the indifference stage.
"Why should I care!!" She mumbled to herself and crawled under the duvet.
Shravan came out of the washroom after an icy cold shower. He looked at the delicious package lying on the bed and decided against sleeping on the bed if he needs sleep. Because ,howmuchever he keeps the distance ,she would end up draped around him like a creeper.
No!! He is not ready for that risk!! Not when he has not come to the decision of whether to give this marriage a chance??
Shravan took the spare pillow from the bed and Drishti opened her eyes and looked straight at him.
"I will take the couch" Shravan said and Drishti ignored him and turned her back on him
He lied on the couch and thought of everything that happened in his life in the last few days.
Drishti had come into his life as a surprise.
A very gorgeous surprise.
And now he is sure that she wasn't lying about what happened on the day of marriage.
So Isha's accusations rose out of a misunderstanding.
His mother is already fond of Drishti. His brother will definitely like her.
And his little sister. He can imagine her running around Drishti like a puppy.
She would fit into his family like the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle.
Ah!! His dadu!! How can he forget his dadu. He can forsee his dadu and Drishti being at loggerheads and that would add spice to their life.
And above all!! He is very much attracted to her
What more could he ask for in a wife.
She is a little childish ,but most girls before marriage are.
Maybe he should give this a chance. If she is ready to work along side him. If she would understand his long working hours.
He could see himself falling in love with her someday in the future.
Will she ever fall in love with him??
Abhay had said she is a very expressive person.
He finds it difficult to express his feelings. Its not that he doesn't have feelings. But he feels extremely awkward in expressing feelings.
'You didn't find it very difficult a while ago' his conscience reminded.
'Yeah!! Look how awkward I became after that' he argued back
'Every marriage needs work. You need to make adjustments and come out of your comfort zone' his heart advised
Tomorrow she will be busy with shopping and he will be busy at office as he will have to take a leave for two days for the temple visit.
Maybe they could have the much needed talk after returning from the temple.
Shravan went to sleep with a smile on his face.
