The music blasted through the living room and everyone enjoyed the music, including me, of course. Every once in a while, I would check up on the boys, making sure that they were having enough drinks. I want them all to get wasted tonight, including Alex, which was the only way for me to sneak inside his office room.
"Do vampires even get drunk?" I asked Elena, who laughed before nodding, her dance moves already getting sloppy.
"Special wine darling! Vervain or some shit mixed, I don't know!" she giggled before walking up to James and grinding her back against him. She's definitely drunk
"Let's get this over with." I grumbled, pushing drunken Franklin away from my way and making my way over to Joey, who was now dancing with two girls at the same time.
"Well, well, what a treat." He sang, eyeing me from head to toe and I gave him a small smile before wrapping my arms around Jason, who was now staring at me in both surprise and amusement.
"Where is Alex?"
"Why? Missing your lover boy?" he grinned at me.
"I'm pretty sure that it's the other way around, Joey." I corrected him, my words dripping in sarcasm and he chuckled darkly before shaking his head in pity.
"My my, Katy you're changed. What did he offer you?" he questioned, pulling my waist and moving his body along with mine. "No, what did he do to you?" he corrected, pulling away and I flinched at his words before averting my gaze, attempting to make it seem like he wasn't catching onto anything.
"You're mistaken, Joey. "
"That's a lie, I can tell." He cut me off with a small frown and I was about to say something when someone grasped my hand, spinning me around to face David.
"I'll leave her to you then." Joey left with his wine as i glared at David
" Why do you keep following me around?!" I yelled at him but he just watched me.
"Why are you doing this?" His soothing soft voice made me feel slightly bad for him. He is always a hindrance.
"Please, just come with me and we can-"
"Only if you have a few drinks with me. If not, then fuck off . I need to get something done or-" I stopped when I realized that I had spilled too much.
"Or what? What do you have to do tonight?" he questioned, his eyes piercing mine.
"Vincent, just let me go, please? It just slipped." I managed to convince him. We walked towards the couch.
"Wait here" I instructed him and went to kitchen . I came back with a tray full of wine and beer and I grabbed a bottle before sitting down next to David.
"What the hell are you doing-"
This guy was unbelievably annoying. All I needed was him to get drunk enough for me to get that freaking red box, so that i can leave.
"Come on, please? We can continue where we left off that night." I decided to seduce him. I could feel he tense at my touch.
"I can't-"
"Please, for me?" I asked with my puppy dog eyes and I watched him expression soften before he finally gave in.
"Alright, but just one." He said before grabbing the bottle and gulping down a few sips, making a face in displeasure. I need him to be drunk. So, I took the glass and about to sip the wine
"Kate, stop! You're going to-" I placed my lips onto his . It took him awhile to kiss back. Our lips moved in sync and I smiled a little when he positioned my legs in a way that they were now wrapped around his torso.
"Another drink?" I broke the kiss forcefully and give him a drink, a smile tugging on my lips again.
"Yeah, sure." He whispered quickly, his eyes flickering onto my lips and I was about to lean in when I noticed Mitchell walking inside the living room, his eyes searching everywhere frantically before they finally landed on my very own, making him froze at the spot.
I kissed David passionately, purposely wanting to tick off Alex. I don't know what i am thinking but it seems like i am digging my own grave. I was desperate to let out any hatred I had towards him.
I slightly opened my eyes a little and i saw Alex walking furiously towards us, making my heart skip a beat.
"Get the fuck away from her!" was all I heard before i was pulled away from David . He was now glaring at David, hatred and anger filling his eyes completely, almost making them grow pitch dark. I have seen him angry, yes, but never have I seen him get this furious.
"Alex-"
" If I ever see you touching her again, I won't hesitate to rip your head off!" he yelled but luckily, the music was a lot louder so nobody heard us.
" I am not. she-"
"I came onto him, Alex." I finally told him off and before I could explain myself any further, he dragged me towards his office room.
" stay away from him! I don't ever want to see you near him again!" he growled, his voice laced with venom and I contemplated to whether I should speak out or not.
" Why? "
"You're not like other girls, that's fucking why!" he yelled back.
"You said i am not upto your choice. So,I don't think that me and david hooking up shouldn't be your concern in the first place?!" I raised my voice, hating myself for keeping up the argument.
"Because you're mine and only mine, Rina. Mine to touch, mine to kiss and mine only! So I do not want another man's fucking filthy hands on you ever again, ok. ?" he spat back.
"Jeez, why do you have to yell...?" I barely muttered under my breath and I watched his jawline clench in anger, causing me to bite my bottom lips nervously. He leaned closer for a while, making me slightly flinch at his reaction. He then left from there.
He could be here any minute but I'm going to take that chance tonight. I decided and frantically searched everywhere for a little red box. I looked at the cupboards, racks but no luck. I was about to walk out of the room when I noticed the small table next to the flower pot with drawer. I opened it and noticed an ancient looking red wooden box, perfectly placed inside it. Without even hesitations or second thoughts, I grabbed it and opened it, hoping to find some kind of Vervain solution but there was nothing. For a few minutes, I just stared inside the empty box, my mind going completely blank. I am angry, frustrated and sad?
"And all that for nothing..." I muttered before breaking down into a laughter. Why am I hysterically laughing like this ?
"Rina-" Alex came in and looked at me in surprise for a moment. "Let's get back to bed , it's late." He said finally and I shot him a glare out of hatred before shaking my head furiously.
"What was inside the box, Alex? If you knew about my plan to stole the box, why you played with me the whole night?!"
" So Terry sent you to fetch the box. My intuition was correct. You're not acting but become a rebel. Now spill it out. What Terry did to you? "
