She paused. Wondering who dares to defy her order. She slowly turn around to come face to face with the culprits.
" you? " she pointed at the person
With challenging eyes the person said " yes me"
She blinked her eyes to check if this was some kind of joke. " are you for real?What gave you the nerve to be here? "
With folded arms he said " what gave you the assurance that I will answer that question?" he then glance at the lady still on the floor crying.
" Ma'am, please get up and go wash up yourself at the washroom " he calmly said to the lady to which she nodded and try to get up
Rahama hurriedly stand at the woman's front " she goes no where until she finish her punishment "
" and I said, she won't do it " he challenged
" Don't get ahead of yourself Mr mechanic, don't forget that you're in my father's company and I have every right to do as I want with anybody I want "
" oh,I see. Now I get it. You still don't know yet?" he said with a brow raised
Her brows furrowed " know what? "
He smirk " that I am the new manager of this company " he spoke out loud as he stared straight at her eyes. The reaction he wanted to see was perfect. He had expected that she will behave like this at first.
She laugh mockingly " what gave you the audacity that I will believe what you just said? " she chuckled again. She finally sobered up and said " do you think I'm stupid enough to believe whatever trash that comes out of your dirty mouth "
" well then, this will" he said pointing at the ID around his neck.
She move a bit close to him in other to read what was written on the card.
And man, was he right
It was as if a bucket of cold water was poured all over her.
" what?!!..... You? The manager?. This isn't possible. How?... How can dad do this to me?" she stuttered, speechless. The ID card around his neck says it all. He was saying the truth.
" Glad that he did this to you" He mocked and then offer her a very large smile.
Upon hearing this new info, some of the employees were already jubilating among themselves and it didn't go unnoticed by Rahama. It was like a disgrace for her. She felt ashamed, broken to be aware of this by jut a mere mechanic. Her dad didn't even think of telling her. How can dad take away my job just like that? How could he do this to me?
As for Sadiq, he was really enjoying the broken look she wore. She deserves it and so much more. He too wasn't expecting this position which was giving to him. He wouldn't lie but he felt a tiny bit of pity for her. According to her dad, he said he wants her to straighten her ways. His ears was already filled up with alot of bad complaints from the employees about her. The best way to punish her was by taking her job away from her, maybe by doing so she might try to correct her ways. So he had thought.
What her father doesn't know is that Rahama's behavior would never change just because her job was taken from her. She needs deep deliverance, if so not , her situation will grow worse and worse, day by day.
Her lips quivered " he can't do this to me. No he can't " she was finding it hard to believe it. She ran away from the shame to God knows where
Sadiq shrug unaffected . He glance at the rest of the employees " everyone should go back to his or her post. The drama is over"

Sleeping on a queen size bed of a hotel was Mansir and Kamilah . They overslept due to the party they had last night. After Mansir dropped Rahama home, he gave a call to Kamilah to meet him at their usual spot at the hotel. Upon her arrival, they drank and had fun with each other forgetting that their is tomorrow.
Kamilah's phone kept ringing beside her.
" Kamila pick up your phone or switch off the damn thing. " Mansir groaned out as he cover his head with a pillow as a way to make the sound less disturbing.
When he got no response from her and the phone also refuse to stop ringing, he give up and sat upright on the bed, he checked the time and was met with the shock of his life
It's 12am already
He was suppose to have a meeting at 8 am on the dot. It was a very important meeting. He went through his phone and saw so many missed calls and text messages.
10 missed calls from his dad, 15 missed calls from his secretary and the last was a call from rahama.
I'm doomed
" Kamilah wake up " he hit her arm... " better wake up, if not I will leave you here" he warn
She groan and turn to his side before she slowly woke up " why won't you let me sleep?" she asked drowsily with her eyes still close.
" better get up, it's 12 o'clock already " at this utterance, her eyes had long open
" what?!... Eleven what?!... " she jump down the bed and took her phone to see the time for herself.
" I'm in trouble.. I'm in trouble.... What will I tell yaya" she kept muttering as she saw 20 missed calls from Jafar.
" I don't think I can wait for you. Take this money to buy whatever it is you want to buy. I need to be at the office right now. " he kept the bundle of money on the night stand and left.
She wasn't even listening to him , all that was on her mind is how she would confront her brother. An idea came to her. she remembers that sh e brought a spare clothes. She quickly went in the bathroom to do her business. She came out few minutes later fully dressed.
Her phone rang once again. She pick it up " hello? "
" where the hell are you, Kamilah . Don't tell me you spent the night at your boyfriend house? " she was speechless
" what?.... No... No.... There is a holdup on the way. Please be patient with me. I will soon be there" she was surprise at the courage she had to lie like that.
When she finished packing her things, she left the room in haste.

" where the hell have you been? If I wasn't around when our clients came here for the meeting, don't you think they wouldn't want to do business with us again? " Alhaji Ringim roar out at his son. He is so mad at him right now.
" I'm sorry father " Mansir apologized, ashamed
" where did you sleep last night? "
" erm...in a friend's house. He came back from abroad and invited me to the little party he organized"
Alhaji Ringim only glares at him " you better not try this rubbish again. Always know the time for job and time for fun. You can't join the two together "
He nodded" I won't repeat it"
" better not " with that being said, Alhaji Ringim left .
Mansir exhale loudly and sat on his chair
" Thank God I was able to escape this "
His next problem his Rahama, he just pray she wouldn't make it hard on him. I will sweet mouth her kawai. Anyways she always fall for it.
He dial her number and waited for it to be answered. She wasn't picking. He tried it again, still there wasn't any response. He became fed up coz he hate it when his calls aren't answered.
He took his car key and decided to just go have something to eat.

Sitting at the back of a local restaurant, was jafar. He kept tapping his foot repeatedly waiting for his sister. He was already getting tired of waiting and was about to leave when he heard a voice
" I'm here. " she said breathlessly
He glance at the so called sister in annoyance " do you know how long I've been waiting for you? "
" I'm so sorry Yaya, it was hold up"
" please, will you stop lying. Don't take me for a fool Kamila " he snapped
She wasn't expecting this reaction from him.
"Wasn't it the same road I passed through when I was coming here. Why wasn't there hold up when I was coming?. So , save your lies for someone who would believe you coz I don't "
Her heart was pounding terribly. She know that Jafar knows her like a open book and he have seen through her already. They both sat in silence
Her eyes was already filled with unshed tears. She too hates this bad side of hers but what can she do? She loves Mansir with the whole of her being . She doesn't care whether she is called a fool, the deed has been done already.
" why? " that was the only thing Jafar could utter.
That 'why' was asked with so much pain, disappointment, bitterness, regret. He regrets not being there for her when she needed him the most.
She also knew that their isn't any point in lying anymore. He had already caught on that she sleeps around. There is no need to lie.
" why have you turned yourself to someone you weren't?" he asked again with so much anger.
She was already sobbing " I'm sorry. I'm sorry for disappointing you"
He shake his head disgusted " you didn't only disappointment me, you betrayed my trust for you. I can't believe that you've become someone else. You were my little baby sister "
" I'm sorry" her heart was breaking seeing the look her brother was sending her way. He look at her like some tramp. A look which she hate so much, a look which tells her that her brother is now disgusted with her and it will be so hard for him to forgive her.
" I.... Can't put up with all of this " he sigh exasperatedly and he stood up about to leave. She quickly held his arm
" please don't go away. You're the only one who understands me ,please Yaya. Please. "
He forcefully drag his hand out of her grip" don't ever touch me again if you know what is best for you"
She went on her knees. Thank God people weren't around the place.
" please what can I do for you to forgive me. Wallahi I will do anything " she pleaded
He glance at her for a while " stop all your wayward act. Maybe when you do, we will now see where that take us" and then, he left. Leaving her with a broken heart.
I have dissapointed my brother to the point that he couldn't meet my eyes. I'm a disgrace
