"MEREDITH, is it okay for me to wear this?"
I looked up at her who was on a few steps of the stairs wearing her lovely pink dress, while her coat was on her arms. She barely combed her loose hair and carefully stepped down.
I stunned looking at how gorgeous she is right now. I hesitated to smile for a moment.
"Do you think Gabriel will like what I'm wearing?"
She's now in front of me with a wide smile on my lips.
I blinked, and turned my head sideways. "Yeah, you are very lovely Alessandra. I'm sure Gabriel will like not only what you're wearing but also you." I'm proudly say.
"You think so?" she asked, seemingly unconfident in her own words.
"Of course! It's not important wgat you are wearing, what important is... Gabriel loves you so much, it doesn't matter how simple you are or how sexy your dress is, I'm sure Gabriel will aprreciate you as her wife.
I noticed her face lit up at what I said. I sighed, and form my lips into a bottom one.
"Thanks, Meredith." She absolutely hugged me. And i bit my lips more as pain crash through my veins.

I spent the whole day cleaning the whole mansion. I don’t want to stop even for a second, because every time I do that, it’s Gabriel who always comes to my mind and their upcoming dinner date with Alessandra.
Exhausted, I sat in a lounge opposite the swimming pool when I finished my homework. I glanced at my wristwatch. It's past four in the afternoon and I haven't eat lunch yet.
I blamed myself for taking the time to work even though the whole house wasn't too cluttered. I raised my arm again to spit on both hands. I frowned because of being exposed to me.
There were some sores on the side of my fingers, as well as the lower part of my nail. They are almost uneven in length because they are always broken by the difficulty of housework.
I sighed in pain before lying down and closing my eyes firmly, I didn't realize that I was being pulled by drowsiness.
A few loud voices made me stand up. It was already dark around so I quickly went inside the house to hopefully turn on the light but the living room lit up immediately.
My legs were immediately numb due to Alessandra's clutchbag falling on the tile floor.
"I knew it! She plan this, and now what?!" Alessandra exclaimed with anger.
"Alessandra, let me explain everything ." Gabriel grabbed her elbow and faced her with all his strength.
"All right, what are you going to explain that he just happened to be there? Come on Gabriel, I'm not a fool. I know that woman still likes you a lot! And to think that I'll believe your explanation?"
"You should be... Please, Sandra. We don't have a relationship and even then what you say won't happen!" Gabriel's voice is soft and calm, he doesn't seem to want to go along with his wife's temper.
"Oh come on Gabriel, that bitch is flirting on you, and look how desperate she is, she just needs to eat at my plate and replace me in my seat! I also don't believe that urgent matter is the reason why she's there!"
I gasped from hearing Alessandra's cracked voice, her shoulder shaking violently with intense anger.
Gabriel exhaled sharply, as if having difficulty with his wife's visible appearance.
"Will you stop being too childish Alessandra. She's just there because she need my signature. She informed me about that matter, when we're on our way to the diner. So I texted her-
"So, you two texted each other huh?" Alessandra cut him off, and gave him a cruel mocking laugh.
"No, off course not, I did it so I wouldn't have to go back to the office."
He stepped forward and caressed her both cheeks, "Please, believe in me.." He lowered his head to level the stare, momentarily stunned the wife because of what Gabriel did.
"Believe me, there's no mediator between the two of us. You're the only one I love," he barely whispered to her wife but enough for me to be heard.
I swallowed, as if a thousand daggers were pressing on my heart because of what I heard. I gasped heavily, I wanted to step my feet away but was afraid I might make a mistake or noise.
"Then prove it. Prove to me that what you say is true." She gripped his two hands tightly for the bottom.
Gabriel's face showed shock. His eyebrows also arched at what his wife said.
"Fire her!" Alessandra commanded,
"What?! You can't be serious about it, no!" His facial expression now showed a mixture of disbelief and frustration.
"I'm dead serious. You'll do or I'll go to the office tomorrow to get rid of that woman!" she exclaimed.
Gabriel let out a loud sigh. Instead of answering he combed back his hair frustratedly.
"Will you or I will? Answer me!"
"You know I can't, Sandra. She is now the executive secretary of the company. Marcus promoted her and assigned her to my department." He said firmly.
"But you are the President-"
"And he is the owner of the company!" He sounded so tired, It was like saying that he was tired of everything.
"I don't care!" Alessandra shouted, traces of intense anger on her face.
Once Gabriel was stunned by her remark."You are very hard headed. " His hand slowly moved up to the top of her head and tapped her head gently.
Alessandra didn't say a word, she chose to turn a blind eye because of what Gabriel did. It seemed to soothe like a sheep because of what Gabriel had done.
"Alright, I will talk to Marcus about it, " he said barely in a whisper.
"No, I want you to fire her," she still said hard, without so much as a blanch or blink.
He sighed, powerless to lower his hand.
"You know I can't do the job alone without Sarah ."
"Damn it!" Alessandra shouted a curse, and punched his chest with all her might. Her tears also flowed out of resentment towards her husband. It just continued to growl at Gabriel's chest as he tried to grab the shovel on his wife's wrist.
"Please, Sandra..." Gabriel's voice was low and rumbled. He step back defeatedly. His hands went down and he let his wife do what she want.
When it happened, Gabriel just hugged her. "Ssh, I'm sorry... I don't mean anything, and I don't have an affair with another woman. You are the only one loved, please listen to me. "
He pulled away and grabbed her both cheeks, "I love you .. Please have faith in me," he said softly, eyes showed truthfulness and assurance.
"If you can't fire her, hire someone else to replace her. Isn't her position in your office still vacant? So she will surely lessen her job if you will hire a new secretary to replace the position she vacated. right? " she commanded again.
He looked at her a long moment, and then shook his head from side to side.
"Alright." He finally agreed. He bent down to kiss his wife. My two legs immediately retreated to the next scene.
It was a sweet fire kiss. She reach out and touched his broody chest to secure herself and steals some strength. Gabriel lowered his head to deepen the kiss, hands tracing her back side.
My knees softened, I looked for a clamp but there was none, so I stepped forward with all my might so that I would have turned around when I heard Alessandra's voice.
"I know someone who's capable of doing her job professionally." She proposed, quickly I made a look at them now facing each other.
His eyes narrowed, and his response quickly, "Who is it then?"
"It's Meredith," she slowly said.
My eyes widened in surprise. Later my knees were just soft, now it seems like it wants to give up at any time.
My gaze flew quickly to Gabriel, who just now glanced at me. His jaw clenched, eyes glinting with anger. It's like I want to faint at any moment.
