Heather felt her heat came up her face. Blake's ex’s endearment was better than hers.
“Please love, say yes.” Kristel pleaded.
"And who are you calling love? My boyfriend?” She asked gritting her teeth.
“Excuse me? Who are you?”
"Well I am the girlfriend of the man you want to flirt with." she said with a saccharine tone. She heard the other woman sighed.
"Will you give the phone to Blake? I want to talk to him not you or anyone else."
She gripped the phone. A whore versus a vixen ! Bring it on! She thought. "He doesn't have any desire to talk to a whore like you. If you know what's best for you stop calling him! Go find someone else!” she said angrily before hanging up.
Blake was busy putting food on their plates when Heather entered the kitchen. His eyes became like slits and he just stared at her. He seemed to be always taken aback each time he saw her .He flashed his clit-tingling smile when his eyes ran on what she had on. It was simple and not skimpy. At least she had started to obey him when it comes to his choice of clothes for her.
His brows knitted when he noticed that she had slight a frown. She put his phone on the table with a thud before sitting down.
"Sweetheart? Is something wrong?" He asked before occupy8ing the chair across from her. He took her hand and kissed it. She just pouted then drank some of her juice. "What is it?" His eyes narrowed when his phone started ringing and he saw the caller.
Heather pulled her hand from his. “Hats off to your ex! She calls you without thinking that it’s too damn early!”
He sighed then turned off his phone. He stood up then got her hand to gently pull her up and wrapped one of his arms around her waist. His other hand held her chin. He raised her face. "Sweetheart, just ignore her."
Heather looked at him angrily. "You call each other love? How sweet!” Her voice was full of sarcasm.
He heaved a sigh. "She used to call me that. I just called her Kristel." he said looking her straight in the eye. He wanted her to know that he was telling her the truth. He almost sighed in relief when he sensed that he had convinced her.
"Change your number." she demanded all of a sudden.
His brows knitted. "I can’t change my number that easily sweetheart.”
She moved away from him. Then sat on the chair again and began eating. At least she didn’t look mad. “Let’s just eat.” " She said. She promised herself that she would try to understand him as much as possible. He had a lot of clients and he couldn’t do at once what she demanded.
"Are you angry?” He asked.
She put down her fork then sighed. "I am mad as hell at Kristel. If she won’t stop calling you I will deal with her my way. And if I found out that you were still talking to her..” she intentionally didn't finish her sentence.
Blake's face turned grim. He took hold of her wrist ."What will you do?" he asked while clenching his teeth.
She jutted her chin. "Let go of my wrist. It’s you who has an ex who still calls you, not me." she said coldly.
"I don't like what's happening too so don't put the blame on me! Don't dare do anything that will piss me princess..." He threatened. She wriggled her wrist free. "I am going to be late. Let’s eat." She chose to change the subject. For a moment she thought that he was not going to drop the issue but after several seconds he just shrugged.
With his eyes on her, he started having his coffee. "Don't forget to give me your passport before we go.” He said coldly and she just nodded.
They ate in silence after that.

They were quiet in the car. Maybe she needed to make the first move. She disliked having a disagreement with him. She would try to forget her jealousy and what Kristel did. Anyway Blake had done a lot of things to prove his love for her. If she would continue arguing with him, she would just make Kristel happy for causing a rift between them. That was what that bitch wanted and over her dead body would she let her win.
"Sweetheart, I’m sorry.” she said.
He didn’t react. She put her hand on his right thigh.
""If you don’t want us to argue then stop thinking of ways on how to get back at me!" he rasped. "Neither one of us liked what Kristel did! “ He sounded a bit annoyed. He didn't tear his eyes from the road .
“Sorry. Let’s forget it okay?” She said huskily. She ran her hand on his thigh. He looked at her and she smiled seductively.
"Don't start something you can't finish sweetheart." he said while his eyes glinted.
"Just one more day sweetheart. I will make it up to you." she promised huskily.
He then laughed lightly. His mood really became better with the mention or thought of sex.
She grinned. At least they were okay now. "I love you sweetheart." she said.
He threw her a glance then took her hand to kiss it. "I love you my princess." he said.
She rested the side of her face on his shoulder. "By the way sweetheart, please don't drive when you had alcohol. I don't want you getting into an accident."
Grinning he kissed the top of her head. "Okay sweetheart." he said before returning his eyes to the road. He felt gratified. His girlfriend's concern for his safety was a big deal for him. "Text me later so I can pick you up." he said before kissing her on the lips lightly. They were in the vicinity of the office.
"Okay. I will."
“You know what I don’t like so be good okay?” Blake said with one brow raised.
"You too!” She reminded him before she got off.

"Oh my gosh Heather! You are more beautiful that the other models! You can be a print ad model you know! Height doesn’t matter in that field of modelling. Would you like to be one? I will manage you! Leave everything to me!” Joey said.
Her partner is a gay designer. He showed her the room which they would share. She knew Blake wouldn’t allow her to be a model but she wanted to give it a try.
"I will ask my boyfriend first.”
Joey excitedly clapped his hands. "Yes do that! Our bosses are not demanding so you can have a part-time job. Like now, Miss Kay is in Bangkok so you will meet her brother later.” His eyes seemed to sparkle.
"Is she always out of the country?" she asked.
According to Joey their boss used to be a model before she decided to start a boutique.
"A bit often. But no worries. When her brother is in charge, it’s more motivating and inspiring to work! Believe me!” He said giddily.
She grinned.” Why?”
"Oh dear! Our boss’s brother is a dream! He also does part-time modelling as a hobby. He doesn’t actually have to work because he’s rich already! Unfortunately you are already taken. You two would be a perfect match!” He shook her head.
“That’s not possible.” She said still smiling.
"But honestly, even if you already have a boyfriend, I think our boss will still like you!” Joey said with a wink.
She sighed. "I don’t want my boyfriend and I to fight so stop that. If you want our boss, he is all yours.”" she joked. She didn’t mention how possessive her man was.
"It has been my dream to seduce our boss but I failed a lot of times already! He just didn’t seem to see me! I am actually considering to use a love potion on him!” Joey said sadly.
She laughed lightly. They heard a knock. It was Jean, the secretary. "Miss Heather, our boss wants you in his office.” she said.
(Someone’s POV)
He saw Heather’s resume a few days ago on his table. Now he was sure. It was her. She looked very pretty in her photo. She didn’t even have any make-up on. He had waited for this day to happen. He couldn’t forget her. Years ago, when he had the courage to tell her how he felt, it was too late. She was already in Australia. They were not meant to be together before. Now was the perfect timing for them. It was destiny. He should not let this chance slip. He straightened his tie. He was expecting her to come any moment. He readied himself. He heard three knocks. "Come in." he commanded in his baritone voice.
He pretended to be looking at his laptop and he slowly raised his head to look at her. His smile widened when he saw her. He was right. She was lovelier in person.
Heather’s eyes widened when she saw him. He seemed familiar. She frowned. "Javier Vergara?"
He stood up and closed the space between them. "It's Jay now. I stopped using Javier. How have you been Heather Williams?" he asked as he offered his hand. He was grinning as he looked at her appreciatively.
She put her hand on her mouth. Is this really Javier Vergara who she turned down before? He looked like a geek but he changed a lot physically.
"You look even lovelier. And working with you every day will be...very inspiring..." he said while smiling. He had a set of perfectly white teeth.
