I walked past after greetings him, he sends the servants away and dragged me back from leaving by calling out to me, "Karol! Hold on?".
I froze at a spot, as he walks closer shooting his suspicious glare at me.
"Yes, father-in-law!! Do you wish to speak with me?" I innocently responded to him and waited for him to come back.
He buffed out a deep breath, ran a check on me, and replied, "not really, I wanted to ask, if you saw any weird activities going on at home, during at the party?".
"No, I didn't see anything father-in-law, but even if I didn't, I don't think, I'll be able to tell you". I asserted out
Mr. Smith frowned at my comment and inquired the meaning of the words I just altered, reinstating his suspicious glare at me.
Immediately I rephrased my words, donning a sad and helpless look at him, he jerks his head and afterward left me alone, as I walked into the room.
The whole hours passed, Darren returned from the office and saw me lost in thought, intensionally, he tossed his suitcase at me, just to plunge me back to reality.
"What the hell!! Are you trying to get me injured?" A startled look draped over my countenance, he swiftly fills up the distance between us donning a sly smile, and took his suitcase away from me.
"Sorry!! I only aimed to get you back to your senses, but why do you always sit by yourself, and get lost in thought?". He inquired, fiddling for my response.
I pushed back and said, "nothing, so don't try to pretend as you care about me, okay! Mr fake husband".
My response seems to have nudged him to the wall, he dragged me forcefully, Intertwining our eyes as one, "listen to me, my fake wife, I know we might be pretending to be married but don't even think of tagging me like some uncaring men, I do care and you should know about that, since it's been three months, we faked married each other". (He nudged me away and walked out of the room).
Somehow I felt bad, speaking with him In such a manner, so I decided to wait for his return, in hopes to apologise for acting in such a childish manner.

Finally, he got back into the room, donning a confused look on his face, I veered my eyes down and took notoriety of the lab test results he held in his hand.
"Darren! What happened?" I asked trying to get in contact with the details of the results.
He passed the result to me, I read thoroughly and after getting informed with the information, I buffed out a deep breath, thankfully, the test results show nothing out of the ordinary, at least I am saved, hopefully, will be careful next time.
"Darren!! This should be good news, why then do you feel as if it's not".
He shoots me the same look and said, "seriously! I do know that it should be a joyous holiday for me, but it's not something that isn't right, I felt like someone is out to attack my family and his target is my dad, I will investigate more!".
I never knew getting married to Darren, would be getting me tensed every minute, the guy in question seems to be adamant about finding the truth, it's either I'll be get exposed before I even get my job done, or even worst end up in jail, urgh! Can Darren not be the reason for my downfall?. (Frowns)
